Remote Command Prompt

I am really missing the remote tools that I had when managing AD joined computers. Remote access to event viewer, Remote WMI/CIM access, remote PowerShell sessions admin share, etc... I could do a lot of trouble shooting and not interrupt users work. With our current Intune remote support workflow the user has to be logged in and present at the device and we do a shared remote session. This is fine for tier 1 support but for escalations to tier 2 having these remote tools is very helpful. I've tried using the defender live response, it's incredibly limited what it can do at the command line. Anybody else have a remote shell solution (for devices with network line of site) that is secure and preferably doesn't require yet another agent to be installed on the device or a per device subscription?

Anybody own a FR Lexington? Are you happy with yours any pain points on these or known maintenance issues with these? I picked up a 2005 283TS as a bit of an impulse buy last week for my next project and am just curious about other's experience with the Lexington. I drove it about 50 miles home and I must say I was surprised at how well this handled compared to other Class C's that I've owned.

My spouse is self employed, she has a single member LLC with no employees. I work for a non profit and am currently contributing to my employer sponsored 403B. I am contributing above the employer match, the total including match is 16.25% of my gross income. Would it be better to max out my 403B contributions or have them open their own Solo 401k?

Wanted a smaller crossover had it narrowed down to a Subaru CrossTrek limited. Went for a test drive and was incredibly disappointed. The options and the interior fit and finish were just plain bad. Huge screen was laggy and lack of physical buttons was 👎. No power lift gate, the car was just missing a lot of features you’d expect in the top trim of the model.

The dealer also sold Hyundai and had a Kona Limited on the lot. For about $1000 less the Kona was substantially more comfortable with heated and cooled seats 360 camera, and a clear responsive touch screen. It had physical buttons for all of the HVAC controls. It also had a much better warranty. I didn’t want to like this vehicle better than the cross trek but it was far nicer and had a much better feature set. It didn’t drive quite as nice as the CrossTrek but it sure made the CrossTrek feel like a utilitarian vehicle.

I’m no stranger to Hyundai/Kia I’ve had two Sorrentos and had to use the 10/100 warranty on both. One was a simple AWD issue, the other was an engine replacement. I didn’t think I’d go back but here we are.

Anybody have a Forest River Lexington? I picked up a 2005 255DS with 51k miles yesterday for about the cost of the wheels and the gas in the tank. Anybody have one of these care to share their experiences/issues.

It needs a little bit of work but is overall in verry good condition for the price/age. The issues I have found so far are:

  • I think there is an exhaust manifold leak on the passenger side.
  • Where the cab meets the fiberglass cabover was last resealed with silicon which has visibly shrunk with some cracks
  • There is a leak in the fuel filler neck
  • There is a gouge in the fiberglass rear cap where somebody backed into something.

The rest is mostly cosmetic and completing some deferred regular maintenance. Clearcoat pealing is worst on the rear and not too bad on the sides or front, all 3 slides work. I drove it about 50 miles home at 65mph on the interstate, the dash AC blew cold. I was surprised how much power the V10 had in this RV compared to some Class A's that I drove with the V10. I had no problem maintaining 65 mph uphill on the highway. Seems like an engine more suited to this size rig.

I've never seen this before, it's like what I'd imagine if a jet drive & stern drive had a baby.
