If Takemichi thought his hair was lame when he came back to the past, why did he keep styling it that way every morning?

If Takemichi thought his hair was lame when he came back to the past, why did he keep styling it that way every morning?

He himself said he looks lame, so why didn't he just keep it un-styled or even go back to his natural colour? But this mf gets up every morning with his 26 yr old brain and still styles it like that?

How would Aizen have reacted to Adult Toshiro? And how would they have interacted in TYBW in general?

It's pretty apparent that Aizen was especially cruel to Toshiro compared to everyone else, which gives off the impression he didn't like him or had an agenda against him. And Toshiro hates Aizen the most out of anyone.

Aizen doesn't verbally explain his cruelty to him, but it's assumed because he is a child prodigy just like he was he views Toshiro as wasted potential or an uncut gem, or he doesn't like Toshiro being lumped into the same sphere of talent as him. So would seeing his Adult Bankai impress him or give even more validity to that claim?

Would he A, retract his prior views and respect Toshiro's strength, or B see the form as a cop out for him making up for power he hasn't received/earned yet? Or C, he wouldn't care and would mock, ragebait and bully him as usual?

What does this statement mean in context of Ichigo?

I know it applies to Kenpachi, but if a constant release type doesn't exist entirely, wouldn't that mean the Shikai we've seen Ichigo use isn't his actual Shikai and would just be his base sword?

Tbf alot of rules in general don't apply to Ichigo due to his very unique situation, but Byakuya definitely knows Ichigo IS proof that a constant release type exists, or atleast could exist, so howcome he said this? Assuming he wasn't only speaking of Kenpachi.

Do you think we'll get to see the original Lieutenants of the old Gotei 13?

If we really do get the 1st generation as villians for the Hell arc, will their Lieutenants also be in Hell with them as opponents for the current Lieutenants? Or did the original Gotei even have Lieutenants at all?

This man standing next to Unhohana in image 2 seems to be her 1st Lieutenant before Isane. Chojiro is the only one we know of officially.

It's kinda outrageous to me that Mikey and Chifuyu have barely ever spoken or aren't close friends

I understand Mikey doesn't have to be every Toman members friend, but the fact Chifuyu and him don't have much if a connection is odd.

Both of them were Baji's best friends.

Chifuyu is also now Takemichi's best and closest friend.

They hang out in the same friend group sphere, which is generally Takemitchy, the founding members and Hakkai.

Chifuyu is a very loyal member of Toman.

And they are kinda similar in alot of respects honestly, they seem like they'd get along very well. Mikey has a lot of similarities to Baji, more so than Takemichi definitely.

I figure Mikey would appreciate his oldest friend having as loyal of a friend/advisor as Chifuyu.

Baji and Takemichi go through great lengths to protect Mikey, and Chifuyu assists them in that goal, but it seems he barely knows the guy.

Yet they don't share practically any moments together, especially after Baji's death this effected these 2 the most. Under normal circumstances, that's enough to have the 2 bond alot more. Yet they have no strong feelings towards eachother. Ig it can be viewed as realistic cuz a friend of a friend is not always going to be your friend, but thematically they should be pretty close. And since Chifuyu is helping Takemichi and is one of the few ppl who knows about his mission, his friendship to Mikey could've just been more motivation to help save him from his future. Idk it always seemed odd they aren't even close friends.

How on Earth is Meruem an Emitter?

I think everyone can agree they assumed he was a Specialist, as the only explanation we have of his ability was that he was able to consume people and absorb their nen abilities and aura reserves. But apparently that's not his technique, it's just a naturally born trait.

Now he's confirmed an Emitter, but how? He has never displayed any techniques that fit into the Emission category. I've heard some people say his ability where he seprates photons from his body to detect the area is his Emission ability, but that's just a handed down version of Pouf's multiplication technique.

Some argue his absorption technique is Emission, but it's really not, unless you want to make the claim of reverse Emission. But is it a case of he never developed a technique like normal nen users because he was still too young when he died? Or he was just so powerful he didn't need to develop one? Those are the only 2 answers that pretty much make sense.

My friend had a theory Yuta and Geto were both Fujiwara descendants

His thought was after he watched the s3 p1 finale he thinks that Geto is a Fujiwara because he had no relation to Jujutsu prior like Yuta, because their cursed energy reserves were laying dorment due to the generations of mixing with non-sorcerers. Which is also why Geto was born with such a strong cursed technique, aswell as Yuta.

And also that their techniques are so similar, Geto absorbs and steals curses, and Yuta absorbs and steals techniques. So he said the Fujiwara must've been known for their absorption/stealing techniques.

He also said it would tie in nicely with Gojo, as Yuta would than be related to both Gojo and Geto. Thematically they both represent 2 sides of Yuta, Gojo as a mentor and friend and Geto as a dark mentor and rival. And the fact that a person from both bloodlines was the one to bring an end to their story through conquering love whilst Gojo and Geto's relationship was the result of forgoing love.

Aswell as the fact that Geto's parents accepted his powers and life path while he murdered them in cold blood. And Yuta's parents rejected his powers and don't contact him anymore, but he still left them to live their own lives.

Yuta is the byproduct of both the Sugiwara clan (Gojo's ancestors) and the Fujiwara clan (Geto's ancestors) finding a common ground from 2 members from those respective clans forming love between eachother.

That friend, was me.

EthnicTok is funny but this flag is genuinely horrendous 😭

Like it's just the British flag stuffed with Jamaica, India and Pakistan. There are other immigrant countries than that to. And why is there some red coming out of the middle?

Do you think Gitae Kim was rooting for Mexico or Korea during the World Cup?

u/k20_kry — 22 days ago

Had a dream that these 3 were genuinely fully blood related brothers

And they were all raised by a single mom for some reason. Like a combination of Mrs. Jo and Miss Hong.

I THINK Vinny was the eldest, Jay in the middle and Hyuk was the youngest

Spoiler: What exactly were Mello & Near to L?

I recently watched a review of Death Note, the speakers says that memory whipped Light is the closest thing L has ever had to a friend, while Watari is more of a parental figure and everyone else are simply colleagues.

Aside from the whole can of worms regarding the Light and Watari statements, it made me wonder if L ever saw Mello and Near as friends, or even younger brothers. There is plenty of fan-art depicting them as such, but in actual canon what exactly was their relationship?

Mello is pretty upset L died, and frustratingly says that L himself told him he'd find Kira and punish him. Why did L go out of his way to directly talk to Mello and even make a promise to him if he was no more than a successor to him? Near didn't really care that L died, but that's just how he is, we don't know if deep down he may have had a closer connection to L. They both also seemed to know various personality traits of L, which is why Near immediately knew Light was the fake L.

L likely knew personal info about them to, it's implied he didn't pick just 1 of them to succeed him because he knew they both had skills and talents the other lacked, and each had traits mirroring his own. L likely wouldn't forget a major detail like picking a successor, and wouldn't do that unless he knew them personally.

Maybe there's material out there that I'm missing, but I only watched the anime so idk.

Where do you think all the Wammy house kids are from?

L is English, Russian, Japanese and Italian (I don't claim French). But he was born and bread in England.

Mello has to be Croatian judging from his name.

Near is ambigiously white, but I always assumed he was Canadian.

Matt's real name is Mail Jeevas, so that implies he's of South Asian descent. Maybe he's British-Indian or Indian-American, half white maybe.

BB has to be Japanese since it would be odd for anyone of any other background to go by the name Rue Ryuzaki in Los Angeles.

Spoiler: One thing that really confuses me are the shinigami's lifespan's and eyes

Firstly, I don't really see the practical point of seeing a humans life span with or without the notebook, but also a humans life span was confirmed to not change whatever the cause unless via writing their name in the death note or through super natural shinigami related intervention. But how was Beyond Birthday able to commit those serial killings if he already knew their lifespan, he's a normal human just with the eyes. So if you have the eyes can you bypass someone's death date and just kill them regardless since they're a shinigami related trait, but without a death note they are virtually useless and your just another human with a special trait. Unless BB was going after people he knew were ganna die THAT day.

Chief Yagami didn't die due to shinigami related means but I assumed after he got the eyes his life span halfed so he died than cuz he would've only lived for another few days or even hours or so I'd assume.

Misa committed suicide a year after Lights death on valentines day aswell, but didn't she received more lifespan after Rem gave up her remaining to save her? So shouldn't that mean even tho Misa got her life cut in half twice Rem's should've basically restored that, not to mention Gelus's lifespan he gave up for her to. I assumed shinigami's lifespan outways humans due to them taking on the remaining life of whatever human they wrote in the book. Meaning Misa would take on the years of both the countless humans that Gelus and Rem have killed. So she'd live a reasonably long life well into her 100s even if it were just 5-10 people each. But she killed herself, which isn't any intervention from the supernatural so does that mean her quarter of a life, Rem's and Gelus's combined only amounted to a year? Or does it not count if it's you taking your own life?

In my experience, Black people have always been more racist to me than anyone else

I'm mostly Black African, South African and Kenyan. The rest is Sicilian Italian and Madieran Portuguese. I've always gotten comments like "Italians/Portuguese people are so racist", while they can be, the vast majority that I've interacted with weren't. Italians are but if you behave italian and speak it they don't even seem to care.

When it comes to black people though, they always tend to have some superiority over you based on how black you are. So if you don't do something within the norm, speak in a different accent, or you were brought up in a different way, all of a sudden your not black. But the second you achieve something, your black now.

You can see this with Obama honestly, he is half Kenyan half white, but simply due to him being the president he is the 1st Black president. But if he had never achieved that title alot of people who call him Black would've said he isn't Black he's mixed.

Black people are very concerned with stripping your black card away whenever it benefits them, no other group has given me this much grief honestly. While other people can be racist, with them it's very in your face and unapologetic.

Avatar Gaang if they had surnames?

Aang Tashi Lungtok - Both Tibetan names, middle name Tashi means "good fortune". And Lungtok means "wisdom of wind". I don't think Aang would have a very cool sounding name, it'd probably be charming and a bit dorky.

Katara and Sokka Imaruq - An Inuit surname that just means "water", from the word imaq. It does sound like a chiefdom name, they're dad would be Hakoda Imaruq.

Toph Shí Lín Beifong - Toph has a surname, Shí (石) means "stone" and Lí (琳) means "jade". Her middle name would be something boogie.

AgniRyū Zuko - Agni (อัคนิ) is Thai and means "Fire" and Ryū (ริว) is taken from the Japanese Ryū (龍) meaning "Dragon". Goes with the monarchy vibe, AgniRyū Azula, AgniRyū Ozai, AgniRyū Iroh.

Why do you think Mikey never got tattoos or piercings?

This is a non-question but I've usually wondered, seeing as how he has always been into the whole Bosozoku/Delinquent/Biker culture since he was a kid. Howcome unlike his peers outisde of his bleached hair he looks relatively clean. Ig since Shinichiro didn't have them either he didn't see the point.

In future time-lines he has the dragon tattoo sure, but that's not the same Mikey and it's usually to pay homage to Draken.
