They’ve adjusted soul’s run animation (Before and After)
His goofy run cycle has always been my only big gripe. I didn’t think they’d ever “fix it”. I’m happy to see this change

Maybe my expectations were low due to how much this game is often regarded as the worst in the series. But I had a blast. It felt a bit tame and not as grimy as the OG trilogy, but I still loved the new direction and characters. I’m very excited to play Gears 5!
I loved all the games, but here’s my personal ranking so far:
1- Gears 3
2- Gears 2
3- Gears 4
4- Gears 1
(Planning to play judgement someday before E-day)
I just beat gears of war 1 and it was never explained why Marcus was in prison. What did he do? Do I have to read the comic or will it explained in gears of war 2?
With E-day approaching, I’ve finally started Gears series after procrastinating for years. I’m near the end of Gears 1. I like it… but is the sequel a significant evolution? I guess I can play it and find out, but I’d rather set expectations than end up disappointed.
I guess uncharted 2 is the best example. It took the concept and the foundation and expanded it into an amazing sequel.
Edit: just beat gears 1. Went from liking it to loving it
For reference , this is my second playthrough. I’ve already beaten the game some years ago. I’ve always been aware of Kingslaive. But I never watched it because Noctis and the boys weren’t in it. So I didn’t assume it’ll contribute much to the game’s story.
I just finished chapter 1, where insomnia is attacked, and the whole vibe and pacing in this part is bizzare. Should I pause my playthrough to watch Kingsglaive? I want to experience the story to its fullest.
Both are lengthy JRPGs with a ton of stuff to do. But which one would you say has more worthy “stuff to do?” I’ve already played most of yakuza games and persona 3 Reload. I liked them both. But it was apparent that P3 reload was a PS2 game at its core. I’m assuming P5 Royal is greatly expanded in comparison?
