I think the ship of hardware and Ai has long sailed for india , we need to focus on industries which can still be captured , with the globalization only seeming to increase and trade becoming more and more important , I think making ships can create a whole new industry for India .
80 percent of world trade happens by sea , however India currently owns 1500 ships which is 1.2% of the world
If the government and private players in states with ports focusses on
- ship manufacturing
2)container manufacturing
- ship insurance(we saw this happening in the recent Us-Iran war)
We can capture an industry which the world depends on by sheer volume
There are a few things launched by the government like this one , however I feel having private players into this industry will lead to more job creation.
