Immediate "scary" dreams?

When I go to bed, presumably when I am very tired, I'll get anywhere from 2 to 4 very short dreams, right as I am falling asleep. They won't be nightmares, but they'll depict things I find slightly scary (falling far, a cannon pointed at me, a place I don't want to be in, talking to someone i know isn't there, etc).

Here's the important part: **When I have these, I'll want to wake up, and I'll start breathing (**since it's the only action I can really focus on) in and out, over and over again, until I actually wake up and can move around again, away from whatever is in the dream. Then, I'll casually fall asleep again and have another one.

Taking a break via checking my phone and then going back to sleep usually solves the issue, I've found. After that's over, I just sleep mostly like normal.

I've read and heard that having immediate REM sleep can be caused by sleep deprivation, and last night I had some of these dreams and was definitely staying up pretty late.

I'm mostly just wondering if anyone else experiences this, too.

I ate an entire bottle of fiber and then had to go take a shit for some reason

I took every pill in a big container of fiber supplements (300 capsules), as usual with my breakfast, and then, afterwards, FOR WHATEVER REASON, I had to go take a shit. I was honestly quite offended. Just wondering if this is normal or if anything like this has ever happened to anyone here. I hope I'm gonna be okay. Thanks!

I can't stand when people call me they/them.

I'm a trans woman and go by she/her. This is less important than you might think but it's here for context.

I may be one of few, as I know the general consensus is that it's okay, and generally what you're supposed to do, to call someone they/them if you don't know the person's preferred pronouns.

I don't know why, but for me specifically, I can't stand it. I prefer somebody call me either he or she (because that's how they see me, whichever one) (usually he at first) and then if I get to know them well, I'll correct them. I don't really care what people call me especially if they don't know me well. However, if somebody calls me "they" or "them", it just pisses me off. Like, you don't see me either way or you're trying to tiptoe some middle ground intended to be polite but you're actually just making it worse... or something? I don't know. Maybe since I'm neurodivergent, I feel weird about this specifically, but I'm unsure. Does anyone else feel the same way?

[TOMT][BOOK][2000's-2010's] NOT MOOMINS... but white furry creatures that look just like them?

I read this book about 10 years ago or so wherein these simply designed furry white creatures did things like visit a stonehenge and sled and fell down a chasm and went into a tent in this wintery landscape where there was food and it was a really magical looking book. I really wish I could find it.

It was completely composed of full-page illustrations and may or may not have had dialogue.

If I had to describe the character design, I'd say, like, a cross between Geronimo Stilton and the Moomins.

[TOMT][Animation/Video][2000's-2020's] Animation wherein a cashier states an absurdly high dollar amount in a humorous way

My friend sent me this information regarding a video she's trying to find:

animated cartoon, most likely youtube original animations, I have a feeling it's in a Piemations video but it could be an episode of a high-budget studio cartoon for all I know for sure. The premise is that a protagonist character (and possibly a sidekick) are short on money or something, and are trying to purchase some mystery item, I can't remember. this is very likely the main plot of the episode. The scene I remember distinctly is the two characters talking to a secondary character, presumably a cashier clerk or something like that. they ask how much a particular item is, and after a moment of hesitation and a somewhat confused expression from secondary character they respond, in almost a confused tone, an absurd amount of money, especially considering an average price for whatever item they're buying. The whole scene would play out similarly to this.

*main characters enter*

"How much is [something] ?"

"that would be [regular price]"

"what about for [two of thing] ?" *

*clerk looks off in a direction, looks back at characters*

".....five hundred dollars?" **

\*it might have been two of the same thing, it might have been a completely different item altogether. I have no idea what manner of item it is that the characters are shopping for.

\**estimate. was probably something different. All I remember is it was a large amount of money, and a non-specific amount that would be quick to say out loud

Details are going to be INCREDIBLY incorrect in places. I remember this being particularly funny because of the wild difference between the first and second prices, and also because of the pause the clerk takes to think WITHOUT checking any computer or other source of definitive price listing, almost as if this was a number they came up with completely on the spot.

Why don't oral pouches have a popular "normal" variety?

I've seen nicotine gum, caffeine gum, and regular gum, all things you can buy at grocery stores or gas stations.

I've also seen nicotine pouches and caffeine pouches, but is there anywhere that just sells... just... regular, flavored oral pouches, with no substance it advertises to administer?

Youtube video of a guy on stage talking about his ridiculously spelled name?

I saw a video a while ago of a man on stage talking into a microphone and spelling his ridiculously long name, spelled something like Bxcznm19.. something like that. maybe it had numbers in it. He said it was pronounced something simple like "Alan" but spelled very ridiculously. He also talked about the legality of him being named the way he was, because his parents were protesting laws stating you couldn't name your child something ridiculous, or something. It was all very comedic, but for some reason I just can't seem to find it.

I hope this doesn't break rule 4 because I don't think it was "viral", but if it does, please direct me to a different subreddit. Thanks!

Strange static wave sound when i'm tired?

Sometimes I get a short wave of static throughout my body, it lasts a ⅓ of a second, and it happens sometimes when I'm just waking up or very tired or similar. I usually don't get them but they're very subtle and i can hear it if my head is angled in a certain way. I'm just curious why this happens and I wonder if there's an explanation for the weird static.

T-shirt on art, often described (i've seen) as Military Stencil or Army Stencil but I can't seem to find a definitive answer for this specific font I see a lot.

I put in my 2 weeks notice yesterday

I just couldn't handle it anymore. I started to lose motivation, have unrelated mental health issues that caused me to have to call in sick multiple times more than I should have, and I overall wasn't getting anything done except cashiering and closing duties. Customer interaction was lackluster on my part and a lot of the job just became bland and I just can't do it anymore. I told my boss all of this, that I didn't want to be bringing the store down anymore, and that I'd be working 4 more shifts, 2 per week, to try to finish it off strong while also not overburdening myself. After my high school graduation this weekend and after I move in with my dad in a bigger city near me, I'm gonna try to find a different job. Best wishes to you all! I started this position late October 2025 so I will have worked for about 7 months.

My game runs fine until I get a bit past 1000m and my game starts getting weird slowdowns. Imagine, like, it should run at, say 1x speed, but at times it'll slow to like 0.4x speed or 0.7x or so. I want to play the game without these performance issues but there aren't any settings to make the graphics simpler or anything.

I'm on a moto g play (2026), for reference. Closing other apps doesn't seem to fix the issue.

EDIT: I realized the lag ACTUALLY starts happening on the 2nd run within 1 session of playing the game. If i close it and open it again, it works fine.

EDIT 2: IT ALSO happens after about 2400m, as well, just playing through, straight. My initial explanation was very wrong I suppose.
