Tank houses a betta and a handful of shrimp

The current filter I have in my tank created a pretty aggressive current. The filter I have has a long narrow output as shown in the secund picture, so I cut the bottom off of a water bottle and slid the output through the narrow opening of the bottle. I slit a length of air tubing and put it over the cut edge so it wouldn't cut his fins. It's not pretty, but it works perfectly!

I got this little guy two weeks ago from a local pet store and he’s gotten so much more vibrant already. I can’t wait to see what he looks like in a couple of months
