Birthday sadness never ends

Today is my birthday, i usually don't cry on my birthday but today I did and I couldn't stop myself I am not able to even right now, the people whom I thought were close didn't even wish me but the ex whom I removed away from my life still humbly wished it's just that I may be overthinking people do get busy in their life and I know life gets busy and not everyone remembers everything. So even if I did , i shouldn't expect things from ther people. But this feeling it's kinda hard to digest suddenly everything feels heavy when it's your birthday I guess I don't even feel to work today i just want to sleep and escape my problems away.

Ganesh chaturthi rituals.

I'm a Maharashtrian Hindu and I do celebrate ganapati festival since my childhood but i DO NOT UNDERSTAND the hype of it in Maharashtra. When I see things like huge murtis, grand decoration,it becomes more of a cultural aspect and maybe a holiday for people to come together and celebrate.

Honestly being a Maharashtrian I think if you are seeking sadhana in this atmosphere it is almost impossible, people are dancing to bollywood songs in the aagman, some people go on for shoutouts(naare) about some things happening around where is devotion in this?

Most of the people celebrating ganesh chaturthi do it for the dekhava ( showcase) as we call it as,what's the point?

And at the end of the day all of the ganesh murtis are departed from the beach some of them are literally lying around.

I really do feel the festival has become a cultural remark and less of a devotional practice people know a very little about ganesha and yet they somehow feel it is their right to do whatsover they want make noise all around the street just in the name of the festival.

DONT get me wrong im a Krishna bhakt, yes there are many great devotees of ganesha as well but they way people are celebrating it is? Absolutely nuisance and unbearable at times.

Meditation practice

So i recently posted where I said that I couldn't meditate it is like I can't meditate with Aum chanting but yesterday night I practiced something different I played one of my ishta’s song ( a devotional song that reminds me of him) and to my surprise I got immersed completely. I can't put in words but I could feel him in the atmosphere so yes it kinda worked for me I know it's not ideal to do this type of meditation but what can I do? Aum chanting makes my mind wonder around and I can't concentrate. Any suggestions?

Ps- I'm trying to practice bhakti with Raj yoga and Jyan yoga .

Dvaita before advainta?

I usually discuss these things with my father.

My father is a very spiritual person with extensive knowledge of different spiritual paths. He prefers the Bhakti Marg and often becomes completely immersed in his naam jap and devotion.

When I opened up about Advaita to him, he said that it is true, but in order to reach the Advaita stage, one needs to go through the Dvaita stage, which is Bhakti Yoga. He says that Bhakti Yoga is one of the easier paths, and that it is easier to develop devotion and follow Bhakti Yoga than to directly pursue Advaita.

Since Advaita requires a great deal of discipline, it is not easy for a person who is still engaged in material life, or rather, the samsara chakra.

According to him, in order to practice Advaita, you need to dedicate significant time to it; otherwise, it becomes very difficult. He also believes that you cannot directly reach this stage without first going through Dvaita, because that is the starting point.

Does anyone share a similar perspective? If not, could you elaborate on whether Advaita should be pursued in a different way?

my brain won't stop spiralling

See I dated this guy for like 4 years and a year ago we broke up, 2 month after breakup he was already with someone brand new yes that HURT,BROKE,KILLED me. Now I'm okay, doing great as hell. But then this uni result dropped by we got the exact same cgpi no one in the entire universe has that pointer just us. Plus there are so many signs around I see his birthdate no. Everywhere he comes in my fucking dreams every night. My brain just recalls his memories on every road, street, place, anything I'm doing, everywhere.i don't like this. Today, it felt like the universe was giving signs or rather my stupid TED mosby coded brain thought so. It's like I'm detached but my brain is still processing and why the hell I was happy when we got the same cgpi. It's over get over stupid me, ITS BEEN A FUCKING WHOLE YEAR

What should I do to just DELETE his memory forever from my mind?

Advainta and God?

Advainta vedanta talks about non duality and how the individual soul (Atman) is identical to the ultimate reality (Brahman).I am a krishna devotee and I believe in him a lot but at the same time I believe in advainta vedanta but i believe he is the Brahman and I'm not different than him.

The way I'm thinking is it the correct way to basically balance both or advainta believes in completely formless brahman, I'm confused.

Also,Adi Shankaracharya believed in advainta yet he composed so many hymns on different deities why?

Trouble in meditating

I'm a beginner in this I have started regular meditation only a week ago to calm my anxiety down

They say it's very helpful but today after I woke up from sleep i immediately sat down for meditation and I tried ,I really tried focusing on breathing but couldn't concentrate today, all the thoughts of my past actions, some people came back to me so much that I couldn't bear it and had to leave it in midway

Maybe my time was wrong today? I shouldn't have immediately sat down?

I'm currently making a project on a construction template it's for academic work and the entire structure is steel. I have worked on revit before it was easy back then with concrete it seems kinda difficult with all the trusses and things with angles in revit.

With the excessive use of rhino n SketchUp I miss moving objects vertically horizontally the way I want freely

Is it really the same for you guys as a beginner too? Or do you prefer revit over rhino/ sketchup
