Similar to SOTA/POTA, has a points system for making contacts. Hosts have to be via RF but Chasers can be by anything as long as they can beacon. Seems fun, needs more people doing it!

F800GS and F900GSA
The F800 is my dads, he got me back into riding because he just got back into riding himself. Now he’s already looking to upgrade from the F800 to a newer one 😂.

First bike in 17 years and first BMW motorcycle.
Don’t mind the dirt, it’s been sitting a bit and needs a good cleaning and some other bits but it’s a start. My dad got a F800GS recently and got me back into riding, so I found this F900GSA for a really good deal 4hrs away and grabbed it. Excited to get back into riding now that my kids are grown and my wife isn’t violently opposed 😂.
Now to replace these lame tires, I dunno what BMW was thinking putting these tires on an “adventure” bike.
BMW was the logical choice since I already have a 2019 F90 M5 Comp and my wife has a 2026 G05 X5, we’re a BMW household 😂.

Really impressed with the Viltrox 55mm/f1.8 EVO APO.
These are SOOC RAWs with only slight crops on my iPhone to remove people on the edges. The colors out of this lens are impressive even on a dull day like this.

Model brochures USA
Hello,
Does anyone have model brochures or ordering guides for older Motorrad models? I can find stuff for BMW cars back to the 1970s, but it seems like with the motorcycles once you’re past the current year it’s like some kind of forbidden knowledge hidden for the ages. Looking at buying a F850GSA and want to know what the option packages, options and colors were for the different years and it’s practically impossible to find anything, especially for the USA (since some of our packages are different than other locations).
Usually manufacturers keep that stuff on their websites but it seems like that’s not the case for BMW, unless I’m looking in the wrong place?

Gen5outsize Motorbar XL, brush is done for... no replacements exist?
So the brush on our standard Motorbar XL head for our Gen5outsize is gone, the bristles are practically non existent at this point. Figured it would be a quick look on Dyson or Amazon for a replacement, and... Nothing. Dyson acts like it doesn't even exist and the only bar replacements I can find anywhere are for the normal size head. Only option is a "lightly used" full head on eBay for $250. At that point, I might as well buy a whole new vacuum (probably won't be a Dyson this time, either).
Is there something I'm missing?

Orion / Tablets of Orion (precursor to the bands Anakin and QUIET)
Digging through my old files I found these MP3s of the old band Orion aka Tablets of Orion. These were the precursor to the band Anakin and the new band QUIET. Both Tablets of Orion and Anakin had a song on the HUM "Songs of Farewell and Departure" tribute album during the transition period between the two bands. I used to email back and forth a bit with Brad, the drummer on all three bands after we met on Myspace. Most of these I downloaded from the Orion myspace page but some he sent me direct.

NEMO tabs
Since Jeremy posted on here that he's working on re-releasing NEMO's catalogue, thought I'd throw up here a new link to my old tabs (written in 2001) for a couple of NEMO's songs. I might work on a new website like I used to have for these so they are easier to access.
Let me know if the link doesn't work. I've tried to make this open to everyone, an old link I put up had it to ask me for access and I've missed many requests because I get busy. This one should work without requesting.

FE2 shutter weirdness
Hello,
Recently got this FE2 in fantastic shape for cheap on Facebook marketplace because it was “broken” with the mirror stuck up. I’ve already fixed a sticky mirror on an FA (some linkage was getting stuck on the timer cam, just put some oil on it and now it works fine), so I figure I should be able to at least start figuring it out. Arrived today and checked it out, just needed batteries. Shutter speed dial is loose (the spring for the click ball is tired and needs to be replaced), but I’m having a strange issue.
With no batteries, M250 and B work as expected, and all other modes just make the mirror lock up. With batteries, all other modes work as expected but M250 and B both work like a slow mode, like there’s three 8 second modes (I actually just timed it, 4”, 8”, M250 and B all trigger at 4 seconds while all the other orange modes trigger accurately). Take the batteries out and M250 and B work as expected again.
Any ideas what the issue could be?

Seriously, I think this thing makes more hitmarkers in HC than most of the SMGs. At ridiculously short distances as well. Trying to get it finished out on camos and levels, I have pretty much every AR in at least master prestige and gold or platinum except the M15 because every time I use it, all I do is generate hitmarkers and die. Add a desync and I might as well be giving out stern looks instead of doing anything useful. Any tips for a setup that will actually work?
