Worse From Steroid
Hi and ugh. Why would I feel worse from the Clob cream and then the ointment? I have been on one week and thank you. 😞

Can I ask a general ENT question about benign posterior throat cobblestoning?
I’m 43, never smoked and don’t drink. I developed a persistent throat tickle/rawness, mucus/throat clearing and occasional raspiness. An ENT performed a flexible laryngoscopy and documented posterior pharyngeal cobblestoning, which he reassured me was benign/reactive. The remainder of my oral cavity/oropharynx, tonsils, larynx/vocal folds, hypopharynx, nasopharynx, neck and lymph nodes were normal.
I don’t have obvious postnasal drip and I’m unsure about silent reflux. About a month before this started, I had an unremarkable endoscopy other than a small hiatal hernia. I had also taken PPIs from late May through June—about 2 weeks at 40 mg and 10 days at 80 mg—and stopped without tapering. These throat symptoms appeared about a month later in mid-July.
What else can cause benign cobblestoning when postnasal drip isn’t apparent? And could reflux/rebound after stopping a PPI potentially fit this timeline? Could histamine issues play a part? Thank you very much.
Did anyone keep getting these a far ways out after being off?
NEED HELP PLEASE!
Hello! Looking for feedback here as I am confused. Thank you in advance.
I started having stomach issues this spring so my GP advised a round of OTC PPI at 40mg per day for 2 weeks. Didn't really help but my stomach was getting more and more weird. She then prescribed a stronger course at 80mg per day for I believe 10 days. This was done between the span of 3 to 4 weeks between the end of May and middle of June.
I did a colonoscopy and endoscopy-overall unremarkable with no significant findings on biopsies. Stomach got better....could have been horrible work stress.
About a month after coming off the PPI, I started getting some odd symptoms:
* Dry feeling throat
* Feeling like my throat it is very sensitive where food will trigger a cough
* Cobblestone along the back of my throat
* Voice changes - will get raspy as the day goes on. Also "feels" sort of muffled at times.
* Slight burn feeling at times in throat
Those are probably the biggest symptoms. Two weeks ago today I made an appointment with an ENT. He did a scope through my nose and into my throat. Said benign cobblestone because the bumps scared me! They could have been there for a while but I never look in there, ha. Not sure if he checked my vocal cords but hopefully. At the time I was not having voice issues though.
Anyway....any ideas what is happening to me? I do not notice post nasal drip and I do not notice obvious acid coming up. I have not been sick that I am aware of. The PPI may have NOTHING to do with this but I also question, is it rebound acid and I am just not feeling it? I have never had this issue before. Thank you!
Hi! I visited an ENT the other week for symptoms I am dealing with. The lovely doctor did a scope through my nose into my throat. There was also a resident there learning the ropes. The practice’s portal is down so I called about this question a couple of days ago but no access to records currently and the nurse has not called back.
Is part of the scope being able to see my vocal cords? I know he looked at the cobblestoning in my throat but curious…would he likely have looked at my vocal cords as part of the exam? Having hoarseness so wondering and thank you!
Hi! My amazing dad completed an echo and calcium test yesterday simply to stay on top of his health. A friend of theirs had some heart issues recently so my parents did their due diligence. The calcium test has not come back yet but from knowing a lot about the heart myself form my own issues, here is his feedback. What can we do to stay VERY on top of this? He called to speak with a nurse and move his late September appointment up. He was treated for high BP some years back and consistently takes his BP each morning. He was diligent with annual health exams and a fireman so his BP did not stay high for long years back. Any advice is welcome and thank you.
Also, can we keep it from slipping?
Hi! At the end of May and throughout June, maybe 4 weeks total with a slight break, I was prescribed a PPI at 40mg twice per day. I thought I had possible gastritis with weird stomach issues but a colonoscopy and endoscopy ruled things out.
Around July 10th, give or take, I noticed my throat felt off. My voice was kind of raspy, it felt irritated as though I could cough easily, ticklish and when I looked inside, I had all these red lumps along the back of my throat.
I got a quick appointment at the E.N.T. who scoped my throat and nose but not sure how far down he went. Said typical cobblestone and said reflux/post nasal drip are the two biggest contributors. To my knowledge, I don’t deal with either currently. No history of reflux I’m aware of. Haven’t been sick lately.
A month later I am still dealing with these symptoms. Froggy voice after use during the day, maybe slight burn at times and the previously listed symptoms.
Could this be rebound and my throat is irritated even if I don’t really feel anything coming up? Super confused and thank you! 🥴🩷
Hi! Did anyone deal with rashes and hives AFTER coming off benzos?
Hi! Curious if anyone can relate here please.
I went on a PPI for a few weeks, can’t remember the exact amount but two or three, at the end of May into June. I was having stomach issues so they prescribed a PPI as a shot in the dark. I have never had reflux issues. I took 40mg in the morning and 40mg at night. I had an endoscopy and colonoscopy, unremarkable, and came off the PPI sometimes mid to end of June.
A couple of weeks after, I noticed something odd one day. I was feeling like I needed to clear my throat and my throat seemed easy to trigger with a cough when food touched it. There was also a tickle. We went away that weekend and I did not notice it but the following week it came back. I thought to look in the mirror and saw these red lumps on the back of my throat. Freaked me out!
Went to an ENT who said cobblestone throat from some sort of irritation. He did the scope from my nose to my throat but not sure how far down he viewed. I now have the same symptoms but also a strained, raspy voice.
Could this be some sort of silent rebound from the PPI??? I have NEVER dealt with this prior to the PPI. I’m confused.
Hi! Does this mole look okay? I go in each year for my annual skin exams. This is on my back and I don’t look there often.

Hi! Doing this therapy on my daughter and it is flaring now that we’re not treating with any topical. Is there anything to put on when she’s really dry/itchy and also, anything for dry lips? I have been trying to go ZERO but don’t want her uncomfortable. In the same breath, I don’t want to put anything on where we’re starting over! Thank you. 😊
Hi!
Did stress or anxiety get some of you into this mess?
Does anyone notice themselves squeezing or clenching their pelvis and abdominal muscles?
I seem to have screwed myself up from stomach to pelvis. Oui.
I get a burning muscle feel in my pelvis and my digestion is messed up from abdominal squeezing I believe.
Can anyone relate? Thank you.
Is anyone just sore inside possibly from the bloating? I feel sore from the top of my abdomen into my pelvis.
How long do you find a flare lasts? Maybe that’s a tough question to answer.
This all started for me very recently. I was having some symptoms, went boating on a day of rough waves and was bracing myself constantly on the boat while sitting. After that, my pain increased ten fold. I thought I had a UTI but nope. Kept getting bad burning in my pelvis, it was hard to start a urine stream and so on.
The intense pain started around three weeks ago and I’ve been really trying to simply rest the last 48 hours which is tough with kids. I will make my referral appointment with an IR tomorrow.
Hi. I am new to this and will try to keep brief. Long story but pelvic ultrasound showed prominent veins the other day and the radiologist wrote this is consistent with pelvic congestion syndrome. Yes-I have pain. I went back to see my GYN today with my husband to follow-up from my ER visit for this where I also had a CT scan done and bloods. Both clear.
My GYN gave me a referral to an interventional radiologist but really brushed off this could be my cause of pain and spotting issue since December.
Ok. Making this a longer story. I started spotting and went to check on it. I had a frond like growth high up in my vagina. Thank God tested benign. Continued spotting. Followed-up again Tuesday and yet again, ulcerated tissue in the same spot. Another biopsy. Again, thank God, benign and came back consistent with some type of friction likely rubbing there. My friends, I am no porn star, ha, so it’s not that.
I TRULY believe the compression is causing rubbing there and that’s why this is happening. It all seems to line up.
My doctor was just so meh about it all and is a male.
What do I do? I made a consult with an interventional radiologist today for June 2nd. Do vein doctors with experience work the same? Please guide me and thank you. 🙏🏻
Hi. Does anyone have very light spotting the third week of their combined birth control pills? I’m on a regular dose and this can happen to me a few days before I start my sugar pills. Yesterday an internal OB exam triggered it and sometimes sex will. I have been on this type of pill for many years and now I pay attention to it but I “think” it has happened in the past as well. I’m 43.
