Porque tantas religiões odeiam as mulheres, principalmente o Islã e o cristianismo? Qual a origem de tanta misoginia?

Paria Dadgarsafa sentenced to 10 years in prison over January protests.

Hengaw – Monday, July 20, 2026

An appeals court in Tehran has upheld the 10-year prison sentence imposed on Paria Dadgarsafa, who was arrested during the January 2026 protests. The court suspended four years of the sentence for a specified period, leaving six years to be served in prison.

According to information received by the Hengaw Organization for Human Rights, Branch 36 of the Tehran Province Court of Appeals upheld the 10-year discretionary prison term against Dadgarsafa.

She was initially convicted alongside Ribwar Marabi, a Kurdish political defendant from Kamyaran, by Branch 28 of the Tehran Revolutionary Court, presided over by Judge Mohammadreza Amouzad. Each was sentenced to 10 years in discretionary imprisonment.

Hengaw has learned that, following the final appellate ruling, the file was immediately referred to the Enforcement of Judgments Branch of the Public and Revolutionary Prosecutor's Office at Evin Prison to initiate enforcement of the sentences and complete the required administrative procedures.

Both defendants were arrested during the January 2026 protests and were later released on bail pending the conclusion of judicial proceedings.

⚠️ ATTENTION: NEVER PORT OR REPOST AI FOR ACTIVISM! ⚠️

I’ve seen some people using illustrative AI-generated images, altering the background of real photos, or using AI to enhance the quality of images showing victims of the January massacre, but this is a huge mistake that few seem to realize. Supporters of the Islamic Republic exploit this very practice to deny all actual facts and evidence.

Therefore, I earnestly ask that whenever you post or repost images to advocate for the Iranian cause, you use only the original images and videos!

Thank you so much!

Sarina would be 20 years old today, if the Islamic Republic hadn't taken her life in 2022.

Sarina Esmailzadeh was a 16-year-old Iranian YouTuber whose life was cut short after she suffered repeated blows to the head inflicted by agents of the Islamic Republic's repressive forces—including members of the Basij militia—while participating in the "Woman, Life, Freedom" feminist movement protests in the city of Karaj on September 23, 2022.

The movement emerged following the death of 22-year-old Kurdish woman Jina Mahsa Amini, who died in the custody of the Morality Police after being detained for allegedly wearing the mandatory Islamic headscarf "improperly" in public in Tehran in September 2022.

According to the organization Iran Human Rights, Sarina was one of 551 people who lost their lives during the crackdown on the protests. The Basij is a paramilitary militia subordinate to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), widely used by the Shiite regime to suppress popular demonstrations and combat dissent.

Sarina Esmailzadeh, born on July 2, 2006, would have turned 20 today had she been alive. Once again, the Islamic Republic has cut short the dreams and lives of Iran's children.

The Islamic Republic sentences Iranian singer Parastoo Ahmadi to 74 lashes, a 2-year ban from leaving the country and a 2-year ban from artistic activities in Iran.

An theocratic court has sentenced singer Parastoo Ahmadi, musicians Ehsan Beiraqdar and Soheil Faqih Nasiri, alongside six other members of the production team behind the "Caravanserai Concert," to 74 lashes, travel bans, and artistic restrictions.

Information received by Hengaw Organization for Human Rights shows that the Criminal Court of Qom Province sentenced Ahmadi, 29, and eight musicians and production staff involved in the concert to 74 lashes each, a two-year ban on leaving the country, and a two-year ban on all artistic activities.

The Islamic Republic's judiciary accused the nine artists of "offending public decency through the production and publication of obscene and immoral content on cyberspace platforms."

The case stems from a symbolic audience-free concert that Ahmadi and her ensemble performed at the Deir-e Gachin Caravanserai in Qom in January 2025 and broadcast live on her YouTube channel. The performance prompted a security crackdown that led to the arrests of Ahmadi, pianist Ehsan Beiraqdar, and electric guitarist Soheil Faqih Nasiri by the Public Security Police in December 2024. Following a brief detention, they were released on bail on January 22, 2025, after appearing before the Prosecutor's Office for Moral Security.

Ahmadi, who was born in Nowshahr, Mazandaran Province, in April 1997, graduated in film directing from Soore University. She gained prominence during the 2022 protests after performing a rendition of the patriotic song "Az Khoon-e Javanan-e Vatan" by Aref Qazvini and has since released several works inspired by Mazandarani folk music.

Parastoo Ahmadi is more than a singer — she is a voice of courage, freedom, and resistance.

In 2024, she created the Caravanserai Concert, a breathtaking performance that became a powerful act of artistic defiance. Singing in a historic Iranian caravanserai, Parastoo shared her voice with the world — without a physical audience, but with millions listening.

Her choice to perform was not just about music.

It was about the right to be heard. It was about a woman standing in her truth and refusing to let fear silence her.

Parastoo reminded the world about the beauty of our country and what it means to love Iran.

What did the Islamic Republic do with the bodies of the iranian women killed in the repression of the January 2026 protests?

Armenian customs officers have confiscated 143 bundles of undeclared natural hair weighing 26 kilograms at the Agarak border crossing with Iran, the State Revenue Committee (SRC) reported on Tuesday.

The shipment was discovered concealed inside pillows in the cabin of a truck entering from Iran. Authorities said the Iranian driver attempted to smuggle the goods without declaring them, in violation of Armenia’s customs regulations.

The SRC said the hair was seized and a violation report was filed under Article 316 of the customs regulation law.

Attempts to illegally import natural hair have been increasing, with 11 cases uncovered between January and June involving a total of 621 bundles weighing 135.7 kilograms.

The committee urged businesses engaged in foreign trade to comply with customs law, declare all goods crossing the border and avoid attempts to conceal shipments.
