This morning’s photo exposes the yellow lines charging westward. Israel is systematically swallowing Gaza, leaving virtually nothing left. The media is dead silent, with the world completely blinded by the World Cup.

As the country "celebrates" America's 250 years, Black leaders across the country gathered at George Washington's plantation estate, Mount Vernon outside of Washington DC, to highlight the ongoing resistance and refusal to comply with fascism or whitewashed adaptations of U.S. history.

Petition for Afghan women to continue studying in the UK

Under new government legislation, lots of study visas for international student have been placed on hold or are being revoked.

This petition calls for an exemption for women and girls from Afghanistan.

I don’t think the visa stoppages are good for any potential or current international students, regardless of where they hail from, but I think we can all agree it is especially vital for Afghan women and girls who are prohibited from receiving an education under Taliban rule.

If you can find a few minutes to sign the petition, I urge you to do so.

Thank you x

I’m 18 from Gaza, and my family and I are struggling to survive.

I never imagined I would be living a life like this.

My name is Nada. I’m 18 years old from Gaza. This should have been my first year at university, focusing on my education and building my future. Instead, I have watched my home, my city, and the life we loved disappear before my eyes.

My family and I lost our home and were forced to flee. Since then, we’ve been living through displacement, fear, and uncertainty every single day.

I try to live a normal life, but the harsh conditions and the immense destruction around me overwhelm me, and I often find myself breaking down and crying.

Many people believe the war and the suffering are over. Unfortunately, they are not. We still live in fear every day, surrounded by destruction and the constant threat of bombardment.

Life has become a daily struggle just to survive. My siblings and I collect firewood so we can cook, wait in long lines for water, and go to community kitchens hoping to receive a small meal.

The hunger has taken a serious toll on us. My mother and I have lost a lot of weight because there simply isn’t enough food. We have become weak, and every day is a battle to find something to eat or drink. Even something as simple as a glass of cold water feels like a luxury.

While many people my age are enjoying life and building their futures, my days are spent searching for food and trying to help my family survive. This is not the life I ever imagined.

I’m sharing only a small part of what we are going through in Gaza.

I am not asking for luxury or comfort. I am simply asking for help to afford basic necessities like food, clean water, and other essential needs during these incredibly difficult times.

If you’re able to support me, I would be deeply grateful. If you can’t donate, sharing my story would mean a lot.

I’ve included my family’s donation link in the comments.

Thank you for taking the time to read my story.

Sarina would be 20 years old today, if the Islamic Republic hadn't taken her life in 2022.

Sarina Esmailzadeh was a 16-year-old Iranian YouTuber whose life was cut short after she suffered repeated blows to the head inflicted by agents of the Islamic Republic's repressive forces—including members of the Basij militia—while participating in the "Woman, Life, Freedom" feminist movement protests in the city of Karaj on September 23, 2022.

The movement emerged following the death of 22-year-old Kurdish woman Jina Mahsa Amini, who died in the custody of the Morality Police after being detained for allegedly wearing the mandatory Islamic headscarf "improperly" in public in Tehran in September 2022.

According to the organization Iran Human Rights, Sarina was one of 551 people who lost their lives during the crackdown on the protests. The Basij is a paramilitary militia subordinate to the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC), widely used by the Shiite regime to suppress popular demonstrations and combat dissent.

Sarina Esmailzadeh, born on July 2, 2006, would have turned 20 today had she been alive. Once again, the Islamic Republic has cut short the dreams and lives of Iran's children.

I didn’t open the Sheffield website for weeks… until today

I opened the University of Sheffield website again today.

I hadn’t done that in a while.

When I first got my acceptance, I was on there almost every day. I’d look at the campus, student accommodation, even just wandering around nearby streets on Google Maps. It was like… an escape I guess. A way to imagine something outside of everything happening here.

Then I stopped.

At some point it just started hurting too much. Because getting accepted wasn’t the hard part. Leaving Gaza, covering the costs, actually making it there… that part was still impossible. So I just stopped opening it.

Then I posted here.

I didn’t really know what would happen. I just felt like I had run out of options.

And over the past few days… things changed more than I expected.

We’re now more than halfway to the first goal. From complete strangers.

Today I opened the website again.

It felt different this time. I can’t really explain it properly. Just… less heavy.

I’m still scared. I don’t want to believe it too early. There’s still a long way to go before anything actually becomes real.

But I wanted to come back and say thank you.

To everyone who donated, shared, or even just read the post and cared for a second.

It really did change things for me.

If anyone else is able to help push this a bit further, the link is still there.

I don’t really know how to end this. I just didn’t want to disappear without saying anything.

The colony is choosing to forsake its veneer of democracy. This is an opportunity to challenge its claimed legitimacy.

For most of its history, the colony claimed to be both a mighty nation, militarily capable of defending its population, and a democratic one, representing the values of the states that established it. This did not make it any less of a genocidal settler colony, but it gave it a liberal image.

The continued resistance to its existence led most of its leadership to choose to forego much of that second aspect in favor of the first one. This was already proposed years ago, and October 7 hastened it. Today, although the colony still pays lip service to democracy, it has largely dropped its image of liberalism. It openly speaks of ethnically razing Gaza, settling Southern Lebanon and expanding its borders. A number of Israelis perceive the danger of this shift to their colony and are seeking to remedy it by reviving Zionism's image of democracy.

Which of the two approaches is more immoral is up for discussion. But more importantly, what needs to be discussed is how to exploit the colony's forsaking its veneer of democracy in order to challenge its existence. There are specific steps to do so.

First, instead of presenting the colony's violence as the problem, we need to present the violence as evidence of the problem—the colony itself. Instead of merely criticizing the colony, we must challenge its right to exist.

And second, we must present a clear alternative to the colony in order to force its reimagining: Instead of one occupation state that privileges Jews, one Palestinian state that respects the rights of all its citizens. In its absence of a political alternative to a system, any accomplishments will remain within the frame of that system. On the other hand, proposing an alternative to a system imposes a question mark on it and challenges its legitimacy.

The One Democratic State Initiative is working tirelessly to organize efforts to challenge Zionism in the context of its shift. If you are not part of an organization, we call on you to join us. If you are, we invite you to get in touch so we can coordinate efforts.

This was posted to the Instagram of an IDF soldier. Make him famous.

This Palestinian man was kidnapped by the "Netzah Yehuda" battalion affiliated with the Israeli Kfir Brigade.

And the one who took the photo is Josef Benamou, who posted it to his Instagram account yesterday, 6/30/26. He is in the second picture.
Let’s do our part in spreading this so that these IDF scum know it’s not cool to commit war crimes.

Edit: The Palestinian hostage in the attached photo has been identified as Amin al-Ghoul. His family confirmed that he was abducted on November 14, 2023 and remains in Israeli captivity. God be with him as he endures the worst moments of his life.
