My backyard doesnt have any shade so thinking about installing something like this until I build a proper one (in 2/3 years).

Adobe bricks (lime stabilized)
I been making sample batches of bricks the last few months but been having a rough time, using hydrated lime btw. The books I have mentioned using ~ 10% lime in the mix. My question is , is this measured by weight or volume?

Best repair for Stripped drain threads ?
Looks like previous owner tried to fix stripped threads , drain bolt. Is there a way to fix this right or do I need another crankcase?

M18 finish nailer not shooting nail.
So the pin moves and nails go up, but it seems the pin isnt going far enough to push the nail out. And it make a double click sound, instead of one like when the nail goes through. Anyone have this issue ?
Not really a heavy usage tool, I've had it for about 6 years but use it a couple times a year only.

Atc wont idle. Carb adjustment.
Im having a hard time adjusting oem carb on a 82 atc 110.
It turns on as long as I hold throttle. Then when I let go it dies and makes a hiss with a little bit fuel spray out the air filter intake (choke). I tried going in the idle and air screw but still wont hold idle. -I have fresh fuel. -Rebuilt carb with shindy japan kit. (Main and pilot jet are oem 85/35) -Both adjustment screws set at 1 1/2 out -Needle clip at 3rd groove -I do not have oem air filter assembly, just kn slap on.
The video shows starting with choke open and choke closed.

Help a newb with Carb adjustment
Working on a 110 that does not idle, only runs when im holding throttle.
My manual states to get it running to "operating temperature" and raise the rpm to 1700 then start adjusting the idle screw.
My questions are;
Do I hold the throttle to keep it from turning off, for 5 min to get it to "operating temperature"?
And how the heck do I get it to 1700 rpm?? Ive only ever riden bikes with tachometer.
For context its a rebuilt oem carb (throttle needle is shindy japan) , and fresh fuel. Also dont have oem air filter set up, just slapped a kn filter cause it was missing filter when i purchased.

Only starts with choke open and pushing throttle.
Finally got my 82' atc 110 to start after rebuild. But only starts with choke open and while I give it gas. As soon as I let go of throttle it dies. Doesn't idle on its own. Im brand new to atv so probably overlooking something basic.

Im working on a 110, with a 5pin unit. I see some units like the ones from Rick motorsports for 100+ then a bunch of unbranded for ~15. They are both made in china, so what's the difference?

110 wont start after teardown & rebuild .
-Compression 140
-Spark plug grounded shows white spark
-Fuel lines full with fresh gas.
-Timing set
Am i missing something? 1st time rebuilder
Tore down every part and cleaned it up, thinking that would help this thing run but after all that still on the same boat.

Help with piston installation.
1st time rebuilder here. 83' atc 110. After getting the top 2 rings into the cylinder the piston wouldnt go in past the first oil ring. I tried squeezing the rings with my fingers and pushing the cylinder in simultaneously but it would budge.
Is it normal for the oil ring to be really difficult to go in?
Does the middle oil ring (wavy one) also get gapped?
Is a ring compression tool necessary?
For context the cylinder is freshly bored to size and rings are new. Piston to wall gap is .002 . The gap on the rings is spec.

How does piston skirt shape affect engine? (See pic)
1983 honda atc 110 4 stroke. While rebuilding top end I found an oversize japan made piston that is compatible with this engine, however the skirt looks very different. Does anyone know how this impacts the engine?

Anyone know the Ring gap for 52.75 oversize piston? Atc 110
After getting my cylinder back from bore, the piston kit i received came with rings gapped at .028 (.70mm). The stock 52 piston gap range is .004 - .010. So .028 seems way over even with the piston being bigger than stock.
