Denon AVR-X1800H Sound Mode Problem

I want every device set to Pure Auto, but it keeps switching to Movie or Music at random and contacting support is like dealing with two bugs for the price of one.

First they told me that Pure Auto is working as intended by switching to a sound mode that adds effects even though it defeats the purpose and that it's operating out of bounds if it's using anything other than Pure, Pure Direct, or Pure Auto.

Then they suggested a factory reset (which is extreme), disconnecting and reconnecting the power and hdmi cables for every device, and reinstalling the app.

None of this worked and now I am almost certain the AVR Remote app is creating a problem where there isn't one by displaying a false positive because it does not match the on screen display when I change it manually with the remote and sometimes refuses to change at all.

Unfortunately for me support only seems capable of recommending that I turn it off and on again instead of investigating a potential bug in their janky ass software.

Garbage in, garbage out

Has anyone developed a tool that feeds information systems nothing but shit?

They play games with our lives and it would be nice to return the favour and laugh as they bet their future on fool's gold.

Too Many ImPOSTers

Have you ever told a joke and the only person that heard you repeats it and gets all the credit?

This is happening here on a daily basis and needs to be shamed out of existence.

How to block all Reddit apps and games

Can someone please tell me the most effective and efficient way to block all Reddit app and game posts as well as the game menu?

I'm currently using these filters, but they are now missing a lot of these craplets, and I don't know if one of the first two is redundant:

We Didn't Mind the Gap and Neither Should You

I'm an elder millennial, and can't speak for everyone, but when we were young we did not spend all our time talking shit about previous generations. It just wasn't part of our identity and I wonder how much the internet is to blame for all this.

I have concerns for younger generations, am guilty of participating in this nonsense, and going to try my best not to join this pointless conflict. It seems divide and conquer is being baked into everything these days just to waste our time and distract us from what truly matters. Perhaps it's always been this way.

I think every generation tries their best, and I hope you find a way to break the cycle and prevent history from repeating itself.

Food Delivery Standards

They don't ring the doorbell, knock on the door, or give any notification that it has been delivered, and leave your food on the ground. All from places that I order from regularly and have never had an issue with up until this year.

I can understand why this may be necessary, but it should not be the standard, and only on request. I also refuse to use food delivery services because it's wagging the dog for restaurants.

Ignorant Cyclists

Yesterday I watched a cyclist use a dedicated pedestrian crosswalk, then onto the sidewalk instead of the bike path, and instead of yielding or any warning, forced me to jump out of the way.

I told them they're an asshole and the asphalt path is for cyclists. Silence...

All of this happened while I was talking to my father about the Japanese cleaning up at the World Cup and that we should follow their lead and teach etiquette.

A young girl did the same thing last month and gave me a dirty look for not moving as I just pointed to the bike path until they moved.

I seem to be a magnet for bad behaviour as I am frequently dodging motorists and now cyclists.

What is wrong with you?!

The call is coming from inside the house!

I receive hundreds of spam emails every week from onmicrosoft.com, so I started reporting every single one, and like the goggles, they do nothing...
