What my course of action here for leaking coolant. It’s definitely the rad or hose

So I have a new to me TJ. I topped off the coolant last night, and I notice today, after sitting for about 20 hours since I topped it off, it’s leaking.

I’m going to try a worm gear clamp to see if it stops.

In the mean time, maybe someone here can identify something i cannot. I know from pictures it’s tough to tell.

If I need a new rad, it is what it is.

Consensus on budget branded exhaust manifold

I’m a new jeep TJ owner, in Ontario Canada. Hi everyone!

It’s a 1998 4.0. 119000 km on the odometer. Long time lurker, first time poster.

I need to do some work on the jeep, nothing major. But lots of wear items need attention. For now, I’m just focused on mechanical safety.

The exhaust manifold needs to be changed, and I found this on Amazon.

What the consensus on this? Is this too cheap?

Any other recommendations?

My 2022 Specialized fuse, after a few years and upgrades.

New parts/upgrades:

-SRAM gold cassette and chain
-SRAM X01 shifter
-Raceface Chester LTD grips and pedals in forest green
-One Up components V2 carbon bar
- e*thirteen plus 35 stem

I think saddle will be next. Then possibly gold brakes from trp just because.

Been doing all my own work (except the cassette that I almost messed up) and been learning lots!

Is the new gold cassette the wrong type of cassette to replace my old one?

I’m wanting to replace my old black cassette to the new gold one. The lock ring (if I’m saying it correctly) doesn’t turn as freely as the old cassette. I tried to put on the new cassette and I stripped the first 2 threads. Something wasn’t feeling right so I stopped.

New cassette is SRAM XG-1299 XX1 eagle 12sp / 00.2418.107.001

It’s going on my 2022 specialized fuse expert 29.

Fuel pump conflict with new pump

1992 daihatsu Hijet s83p

So I took my old fuel pump off to replace it with a new one that I have. I noticed that the old one has this black plastic cover has shown in the picture, and the new one doesn’t have that cover. That cover seems to be glued on in some shape or form very well and I can’t seem to take it off.

When I search online fuel filter for S 83P, it shows like the new one that I have on the right, with two gaskets and no plastic cover.

Now, I have noticed that the Hijet s110 series uses the one that already on my truck.

But I have S83P, and I’m not sure what to do now. Do I need to reuse that plastic piece? I’m afraid to break it, it’s on that good

Edit: I guess that’s a spacer and I need that part. Apparently it to keep heat isolated from the pump.

I can’t seem to take it off. I already chipped a piece off already.

Would maybe using a heat gun work?

Tusk tank bag size, small or large for tw200?

I’m looking to get a tusk tank bag. I just don’t know how well the sizes fit on the bike. I like the idea of the large. I have a stock gas tank.

I bought a cheap tank bag, and I could not adjust the straps appropriately for the bike, so I returned it.

Does my engine sound normal/ok?

I don’t know if it’s me or not, but I’m not sure if my engine sounds normal or not.

I hope I don’t get roasted, but I seem to hear almost like an extra noise rather than just the engine of that makes sense.

I can hear it through my helmet too. Maybe it’s normal, I don’t know lol

I have about 1000km on the odometer, and has fresh oil, topped up oil.

I gave my engine bay a wash for the first time since I got it 2 years ago. Before and after

I finally got to washing the engine bay. It had lots of grease on the side. It’s still on the hood. Came like that from the dealer. Not sure if anyone else had that.

Also, funny thing the neptunes have: the engine bay is a darker colour than the rest of the car. I wonder why that is.

Came out pretty good. The grease was really thick.

Help with plugged and broken coolant line to I’m guessing, the auto choke. Hijet S83P

1992 daihatsu Hijet s83p

Hello, so last year my auto choke stopped working. I finally got to investigating, and I noticed a coolant line was just hanging. Upon investigation, I’m guessing it corroded and broke.

How would I go about fixing this? I know it’s a loaded question.

Any help or tips are appreciated.

Last pic is a general overview so I can give the most context possible

So when my 1992 Hijet S83P is sitting for a few weeks, sometimes the shifter kind of seizes. It’s very stiff until I shift it a few times then it’s good to go.

Is there any sort of maintenance or area that can be sprayed to keep it from not doing that?

TL/DR: very noticeable power increase. I would recommend this set up.

I finally got to installing the stage 1 kit and carb insert. The stage 1 kit includes the airbox lid vent, carb jetting and exhaust.

The install for everything is pretty easy overall. Hardest part really was putting the carb back into the bike with the new carb insert. But with some finessing, it went in.

I can’t comment on the carb insert alone, but what a difference in low end power on this bike now. It’s very noticeable. I did the install with a friend, and he was able to notice the difference right away too. I also have no exhaust insert.

The bike accelerates faster and more torque is felt. This is the get up and go I was looking for in the bike. For me anyways, I’m more than happy with it all.

I did also install a thumbscrew for the fuel screw. I see why it’s such a quality of life improvement now.

I only did street riding so far. I am looking forward to doing sand pits and see what it can do off road.
