In three rounds, each of these beatboxers must perform exactly 3 of their chosen songs (one for each round, at most 4 minutes each). Judges will vote for the winner after all are done. Who do you think will win?

I always love imagining what happens if some beatbox competitions purely become musical competitions, just like many talent shows, where they perform their best music live. Curious how it'll go if the participants are these 6 great beatboxers.

(Poll) Filling up the last 3 spots to occupy the top 8 battlers (ignoring eliminations) among GBB2026 beatboxers

Most likely, people have these 5 guys in their top 8 battlers:

D-low
RIVER
FootboxG
PACMax
BlackRoll

The most unlikely in people's top 8 battlers are: Waali, Astron, Gelber, Given, Marvelous, ABX, Stitch, G-Wizz, H-has. (please do share if you disagree and think some of these are better battlers than the 6 names in the poll options)

This leaves us with the last 6 guys to fill the last 3 spots. Who are they? Please vote!

(deleted my last post and made this poll to make it easier xD)

You can assume all of them are gonna be battling their 19 opponents (so like a league format).

I will list the names below.

PACMax
BlackRoll
RIVER
patbox
Bookie Blanco
King Inertia
Waali

What do you love about NNT (not including 4kota) ?

Tried to search for something similar on this sub but couldn't find it. The negative aspects are more than enough and brought up everywhere already haha.

Personally I love all the love stories. Compared to the other series I've read/watched (which are not a lot though haha), I enjoyed them very much.

I love the power scaling in general. Some aspects like Diane's final power level and maybe minor details here and there are annoying, but in general I enjoyed it.

Those are two aspects at the top for me that I could think of.

What about y'all !?

Trying to understand the flow in Damage Step

I am trying to understand it and put it in my own language below. I am writing what I understand to be the step-by-step (no pun intended) guide through the substeps.

I define Type A: cards with specific substep timings, and Type B: any other cards allowed in damage step (and of course might not be allowed in specific substeps).

(1) Once we reach Substep 1, Type A Trigger cards, and Type B Trigger cards, can all activate in the first chain.

(2) Remark: Type A Trigger and Type B Trigger can be ordered in any way but SEGOC still applies.

(3) Then Type A Fast Eff cards and Type B Fast Eff cards can be added (per SEGOC), and will always follow SEGOC.

(4) Once the first chain resolves, FET Chart is applying, but only Type B cards (whether Trigger or Fast Eff) are allowed.

(5) Once we reach Substep 2, flip the attacked set monster face-up, if any.

(6) Once the monster is flipped face-up, Type A and Type B can activate like above/like usual in the first chain following SEGOC.

(7) Same as (4).

(8) Once we reach Substep 3, Type A and Type B can activate like above/like usual in the first chain following SEGOC.

(9) Same as (4).

(10) Remark: Any "when a card battles ..." related triggers, if no specific substep timing is specified, can be activated anytime from (1) to (9).

(11) Right before we reach Substep 4, perform damage, calculate LP, and mark monsters destroyed by battle.

Here, I define Type C: cards with "when you take/deal battle damage ..." related effects.

(12) Once we reach Substep 4, Type A, Type B, and Type C can activate like above/like usual in the first chain following SEGOC.

(13) Remark: Cards with flip-related effects are already covered by Type B.

(14) Same as (4).

(15) Once we reach Substep 5, send all marked monsters to the GY (or otherwise instead).

Here, I define Type D: cards with "when this card is destroyed by battle ..." and "when you destroy opponent's monsters by battle ..." related effects.

(16) Once all those monsters are sent, Type A, Type B, and Type D can activate like above/like usual in the first chain following SEGOC.

(17) Same as (4).

(18) Remark: Any "when a card battled ..." related triggers, if no specific substep timing is specified, can be activated anytime from (12) to (17).

...

Please help spot any mistake. And the ordering certainly can be improved. I also haven't added those annoying continuous effect rules xD

Thanks!

Understanding what would be the consequences if all cards previously not allowed in Damage Step are now allowed, ...

... in terms of the game logic? Like, what rulings / game mechanics will be messed up because of this, if any?

. . .

I'm aware that in terms of game balance (some cards/decks will get stronger or weaker obviously), and in terms of game intent/design choice (damage step won't feel that much special anymore and will take longer to finish), many things would be impacted.

But for now I'm only more interested in understanding the game logic impact, like what game rules/mechanics are gonna break/contradictory/etc.

Much appreciated!

Has there really never been a format (TCG/OCG/MD) where going-first and second win-rate (Game 1) are roughly equal?

Was there really no such acceptable balanced format? It doesn't matter whether it's currently a popular retro format or not, or whether the win-rates are measured in the modern versions or not. Any historical format can be considered.

Was the format with Tenpai heavily leaning towards going-second? If yes, why do you think they can't design a roughly balanced going-first/second win-rate before or after? Or is it Tear format? And is it Tear format only?

In the future, what do you think will make Lancelot finally willing to serve Arthur?

I can see the other 3 knights being easily OK with and impressed by Arthur. Not only based on their first meeting, and surely many more to come when they work more closely with Arthur, but also Arthur has some good and significant history with Meliodas, Varghese, and Merlin.

So many possibilities of what's gonna happen. All likely will be initiated by Arthur's actions. For examples (not my guess but just giving examples),

Maybe Lance will only start admiring Arthur and/or seeing himself serving Arthur after Arthur's role in the final battle? and/or

maybe Lance will just go along with the rest after being asked by Arthur himself? and/or

maybe Lance will serve mainly not because of Arthur, but other reasons? and/or

maybe maybe maybe. Idk.

What's in your head?!?

Design questions about damage step rulings

Hello. I have some questions about the damage step and its theory.

(0) Will any of the game logic be broken if some damage step rulings/restrictions are hypothetically removed/changed?

(1) For example, what game logic would break if all triggers/fast effects are allowed to be activated normally in damage steps (so it's not only stat modifiers/etc) ? So all optional triggers, or cards like torrential tribute, etc can activate whenever the conditions are met and players want them to.

(Players will proceed as usual like in steps/phases in the substeps, and also Substep 2 will still be started by set monster flipped face-up, Substep 3 will still end in performing damage calc and marking destruction, Substep 4 will still start with flip related effects activating, Substep 5 will still start with the marked monsters being sent to GY, and Substep-specific timing is treated as the usual step/phase-dependent trigger when appropriate).

(2) What about the opposite: No non-mandatory card can be activated, except those with Substep-specific timing and those specifically stated to be allowed in damage step by its text, treated as substep-dependent trigger as well? (the Substeps also still proceed as above, and so flips + destruction by battle effects can still activate)

...

Notes: The above questions ask for broken game logic (which is about whether there will be contradictory mechanics/rulings or not between the cards/game mechanics), and not asking about broken game balance (which is about which cards/decks will be stronger/weaker), and also not asking about the game intent (like whether it still stays true to the intent of damage step, more natural, better/worse experience, or etc)

...

Bonus for-fun question, so not necessary: Under (1) and under (2), what about the game balance? Which cards/decks will be broken?

Much appreciated!

...

EDIT: in (2), added non mandatory, emphasized flips and battle floaters

Where can I get the following ON/OFF (per 100) related NBA data?

Hello. I'm trying to collect the data satisfying the following.

(1) It is for a regular season (say 2026), and only top 8 teams are considered.

(2) For each of these 16 teams, I want to collect 5 players with most minutes.

(3) Among those 5 players, I want to collect only those with negative OFF numbers and positive ON numbers each (which can be none).

(4) Among those collected in (3), I will take the one with the least OFF number to represent their team.

(5) All 16 (possibly less if (3) has none) representatives are then collected.

(6) All those players in (5) are then ranked from the least OFF number.

Anyone know where to get such data?

Thank you!

Some important rulings not found in the main rulebook and/or konami websites?

Where can people find each of the following general rulings from an official source? Or that doesn't even exist and the ruling is only reasoned inductively?

(1) Stat modifiers. (My go-to is just the one from ygorganization.com site. Is this site official?)

(2) Card memory. (Also from ygorganization and also distantcoder video.)

(3) More detailed Damage Step rulings. (From nearly everywhere, and the one on konami page also doesn't explain much.)

(4) Continuous Effect Priorities. (Something like this https://www.reddit.com/r/Yugioh101/s/12AuP6TYWm but it seems like nothing is general and official.)

And possibly many more haha. :(

Discarding for hand-size is not the typical action considered in Fast Effect Timing Chart?

Let me explain the question.

I thought that after we discard for hand-size limit, it is considered the usual action, where we can chain triggers, adding fast effects, etc, basically following the FET Chart as usual.

However, not sure where I heard or read it but, is it true that if there is no trigger, then we cannot add fast effects? Basically, we just move to the next player!s turn?

Also, an admin of The Judges' Lounge in Facebook said, regarding discarding for hand size: "In general, if you have an effect that can be activated when it is discarded or sent to the GY (and does not have to be "by card effect" like the Dark World cards), you can activate those effects, but if those effects would trigger additional effects, you cannot activate those additional effects (possibly excepting if they are mandatory)."

All these are new to me, as I thought FET Chart will apply normally. Is this true? Where can I find the official ruling on this?

Thank you.

Design question: Among groups of cards that are/are not allowed in Damage Step, I'm trying to understand why this one exists.

Among groups of cards that are allowed, which are:

(1) counter traps

(2) mandatory effects

(3) "negate activation" fast effects

(4) atk/def modifiers (side question: wait, are optional triggers that modify stats allowed to activate, no matter what the trigger conditions are?)

(5) optional triggers/trigger-likes that activate in response to the cards themselves being moved to a different location, being flipped face-up, or having their battle positions changed

(6) cards that specify a Damage Step timing,

I can seem to make sense of all except (5). For example, for (1) and (3), I can see that those cards are what generally will be able to prevent any actions allowed in Damage Step. For (2), it's just the game logic. For (4), it's like a booster when a punch is landed. For (6), sure.

I can't seem to make sense of why (5) is included.

To be specific, I can understand "being flipped face-up" to allow flip related effects, and "being moved to a different location" for allowing floaters (actually both of which should already be automatically covered by (6) anyway, it seems).

The rest, I'm not sure. Such as:

- Why are more "being moved" cards allowed besides floaters (such as Elemental Hero Bubbleman, and many more)?
- And also "having battle positions changed" ?
- And also why are less cards allowed in general? why can't they allow some more optional triggers?

These are some confusions which may also come up, like "why are/aren't these cards allowed?". Helping make sense of them does help remember those cards and rulings, instead of purely "it is what it is". For (1) - (4) and (6) it might be easier to explain the design choice.

Thank you.

Trying to confirm the starting actions of Substeps of Damage Step

Hi! Please help confirm if what I understand about the starts of Substeps of Damage Step (I usually just call them Damage Substeps lol).

My main question: Are these actions what start the Substeps, similar to how drawing for turn is what starts the Draw Phase?

(1) Start of Damage Step: (no starting action)

(2) Before Calc: Flip the Face-Down monster being attacked, if any.

(3) During Calc: Calculate damage to LP, and mark monsters to be destroyed by battle.

(4) After Calc: (no starting action)

(5) End of Damage Step: Send the marked monsters to the GY (unless stated otherwise).

Meaning, all of those substeps are started by those actions in italic right? Just like how we draw for turn to start the Draw Phase.

Some Damage Step rulings about Elemental HERO Bubbleman and Reverse of Neos

Hello. I need help in understanding some cards.

(1) Why can Bubbleman trigger in Damage Step? Is it because it is an old text that should have "this card can be activated in damage step" or something?

(2) Why CAN'T Reverse of Neos be activated in Damage Step, at least until Substep 2 ?

Thank you!

Are there cards that negate S/T effect activation, but not their card activation?

Usually, they mention like:

(a) "When a Spell/Trap card is activated "

or

(b) "When a Spell/Trap card or effect is activated "

So I'm curious and looking for cards that specifically negate only* *the effect activation of S/T. Like the (c) option of the above.

The closest I can find (although it's a very specific effect) is Royal Oppression. Like, it can't negate Call of the Mummy / Valhalla on their card activation, but it can negate on their effect activation.

Do they avoid creating cards that work like RO this way?

(Oh if there is one, and it says roughly "when an effect is activated" which means it also includes monster effect activation, then you can mention it as well, because it's better than nothing haha)

Some possibilities regarding Lancelot

I'm just wondering how likely it is for Nakaba to either nerf or make the other knights catch up to Lancelot.

I feel like Lancelot is being mentioned and shown as the strongest a bit too often, which might suggest that maybe Nakaba will actually not stay there, despite what the Arthurian legend suggests.

Take a look at the future children as well.

There are the singular timeline theory, and multiple timelines theory where they came from a different one. But whichever it is, it feels not unlikely that the future will get changed / not be as expected.

So to me there are a few reasons why I may think Nakaba won't make Lancelot stay the strongest (either through nerf, or through others catching up somehow):

(1) As I said, the number of times he is emphasized to be the strongest feels a bit too much. I don't think it's bad, but I just think the author is not someone who emphasizes it so much without an unexpected development coming up.

(2) With the talk about changing destiny like from Guinevere and Cath, it might also suggest that the future we see from the children might get changed, no matter how they come from, whether it's the same or a different timeline.

(3) Nakaba focuses a lot on love and couples. For me personally, knowing the LotL is still a consciousness inside Lance makes me feel a bit unease haha especially if he is known to end up with Guinevere (no we can't compare it with Naruto and Kurama haha they can't be close like that xD). It's not unlikely that LotL and the power will leave, either through her own sacrifice, or unwilling extraction caused by cath or chaos, or because of Lance himself, maybe in exchange for a different, maybe weaker but more necessary powerup. Kinda similar to Ban getting rid of his immortality (we know Ban's purpose but I'm just saying Lance losing power mimics his dad that way, maybe for a different purpose).

(4) Also, of course, there is the case of him not being the strongest because other knights catch up. We can't forget about the others' untapped potentials. Percival with his power of hope and despair, Tristan with possibly his indura + perfect time (or anything that may actually cause him to actually "die" like how his son hinted), or any of Gawain's hax + the one ultimate or something (wait, will she have a gowther like power as well, where she basically can't die? idk maybe next power up? lol)

Overall I'm just saying it's not a given that it will stay as it is regarding Lancelot. I'm enjoying the manga always, and has no favorite. I like all the four Knights !
