Looking for a small EDC sling/bag for a compact camera

TL;DR: Looking for a compact EDC sling/bag for a small camera + a few small EDC items

I’m looking for recommendations for a small everyday-carry bag. I mainly want to carry my Fujifilm X-M5, a small notebook, pen, and maybe a small knife/other EDC bits.

I currently use the Uniqlo Multi-Pocket Shoulder Bag, and while it works, it’s a little too roomy for my needs, so the camera moves around inside. I also don’t want a proper/bulky camera bag since the X-M5 is quite small.

What are you guys using/recommend for something compact that keeps a small mirrorless camera relatively secure?

Looking for a good online endocrinologist

I’ve been on Mounjaro for close to two weeks and so far it’s been going really well. I’ve lost some weight, the food noise has reduced significantly, and I’m feeling great overall. I’m currently on 2.5 mg.

I’m now looking for a good endocrinologist who consults online. I’d like someone who is comfortable managing GLP-1s and who I can have a few proper discussions with regarding dose titration, side effects, long-term maintenance, and potentially switching to semaglutide later on.

Would really appreciate recommendations from anyone who has had a good experience with an online endocrinologist!

Day 5 on Mounjaro - Hunger Is Coming Back. Is This Normal?

Hey everyone,

I’m on day 5 of Mounjaro 2.5 mg and so far I’m down 2.4 kg. The first few days were amazing - my hunger almost disappeared and I was getting full much faster.

Today though, I’ve noticed my appetite coming back. It’s not as intense as before, but it’s definitely more noticeable than it was over the last few days.

Is this something others have experienced towards the end of the week on 2.5 mg? Does the appetite suppression tend to wear off before the next shot, or is this just my body adjusting?

Would love to hear your experiences/thoughts. Thanks!

Starting My Mounjaro Journey - hoping to Break the Yo-Yo Cycle

Hey everyone!

Started my first Mounjaro 2.5 mg shot this Saturday.

The first thing I noticed, almost immediately, was how much the intense hunger reduced. I used to get these intense hunger spikes that felt impossible to ignore, and they’ve calmed down dramatically. Almost feels like Im finally free. Like food is not controlling me anymore :)

By day two, I realized I couldn’t even finish my usual lunch. I ended up eating half and saving the rest because I was genuinely full. That was a pretty strange (but welcome) experience.

A little about me: I’ve struggled with my weight for most of my life. I’ve been both overweight and underweight, and I’ve spent years stuck in the yo-yo dieting cycle. In 2022, I lost around 35 kg and managed to keep it off for a while. Unfortunately, after a road accident left me bedridden for some time, most of that weight bounced back.

Since then, the hardest part has been getting past the mental block of, “What’s the point? You’ll just gain it back again.”

I’m hoping this helps me finally break that cycle. I’m trying to rebuild myself, one step at a time. Looking forward to learning from everyone here, and wishing everyone else on this journey the very best.

Haven’t shaved since school, need help building a beginner setup!

Heyyo folks, I’m 26 and I haven’t properly shaved my face since my school days. Recently I’ve decided to get back into shaving and I’d like to build a nice traditional wet shaving setup.

I generally prefer buying quality gear and doing things the old-fashioned way. I’ve used a DE safety razor once (borrowed from a cousin) and remember really enjoying the experience compared to cartridge razors.

Looking for recommendations for a good beginner-friendly setup : razor, blades, brush, soap/cream, and anything else you’d consider essential.

Thanks!

R1700BT - Boominess at male vocals (?)

Recently got a pair of Edifier R1700BTs and I’m noticing a noticeable boominess around male vocals. I ran a frequency sweep and found a strong resonance around 125 Hz.

The speakers are on my desk on either side of my monitor (photo attached). I can also feel the desk vibrating at that frequency. I tried putting a folded towel under the speakers, but it barely helped.

Any ideas on whether this is likely desk resonance, room acoustics, speaker placement, or something else? What would you try first?

Looking for coffee enthusiasts!

Heyyo!

I’m looking to connect with people who are as obsessed with coffee as I am. I’ve been deep into the hobby for almost 10 years now, and what started as an appreciation for Chennai’s filter coffee has turned into a full-blown passion.

My setup includes an espresso machine, grinder, several pourover brewers, and a steadily growing collection of beans from different roasters. I enjoy everything from dialing in espresso shots to experimenting with new brewing methods and tasting different origins.

Just hoping to meet like-minded people around Whitefield to chat coffee, exchange brewing tips, try new beans, visit cafés, or maybe even organize the occasional coffee meetup.

If that sounds like your kind of thing, drop a comment or send me a message!

What are your favourite Indian beans for pourover right now?

Id start with Grey Soul Mogra and Fruit Forward (I know, I know, but I still like them 😅). Recently though, I’ve been enjoying some South East Asian beans that I stocked up on during my trips - lots of fun, fruity and interesting cups.

Now that those are almost over, I’m looking to get back to Indian coffees. Wanted to hear what everyone’s been loving lately for pour-overs - any roasters/estates that stood out?

Bonus points for bright, fruity, funky recommendations! ☕️

Click and brew cafe - Georgetown, Penang, Malaysia

Found this cute cafe while strolling through the streets of Georgetown. The whole idea is : get coffee and build keyboards. The people there are absolute nerds about both coffee and keebs and it was a lot of fun.

I couldn’t spend a lot of time since it was my last day and they were about to close so I only got myself a macropad. They has every keyboard, switch, and keycap you had ever heard of and it was amazing

These are my current cards and their usages.

Tata Neu is a pretty useless card for me as I dont use any of Tata’s portfolio of products.

Amazon Pay and Swiggy cards get a lot of usage as I manage the groceries in our shared household.

Im gonna keep the Scapia cause I only use it outsie India.

Im looking to replace the three cards with a good card that has reasonable benefits.
