So proud of our library!

This thing served as a Seattle, Post Intelligencer box for many years and now has a life sharing to my community.

Has anyone else noticed the increased posts at that one sub that is about “workers”, particularly in the context of “striking back” providing material to be posted on this sub?

Butt mucous!

I’ve had a colostomy since November of last year. I get the “mucous butt” and pass either semisolid or liquid maybe once every couple of months.

I’m wondering how often do y’all experience this? I know it’s “normal” but also after not needing a toilet it’s interesting to all of a sudden feel the need.

Who else’s struggles with orders through Byram?

*rant*

Dude, I need the same supplies every month. Nothing changes. I place my orders through the system and website, yet I still end up with missing items or orders that aren't fully processed.

This week, I received the wrong flanges and my lubricant wasn't included. When I called, they sent the correct flanges, but the lubricant was still left out. I also noticed that my last order was somehow post-dated, which pushed delivery out until July for reasons I don't understand.

I receive the monthly reminders, use the ordering system as directed, and generally order the same items every time. At this point, I'm genuinely confused about what I'm doing wrong. Every time I call, I ask that question, and every time I'm told it was an internal mistake and receive an apology.

The problem is that this has become almost a monthly occurrence, and it's getting extremely frustrating to spend time tracking down issues on routine orders that should be straightforward.

*End rant*

Wire theft spree Tuesday morning

These dudes were mobbing around in this red late model Ford Ranger with a collectors plate# 6708P

These guys were going up and down the streets because someone posted this video.

This is actually the third time that I’ve had my cable stolen in the year I have lived in this spot. I knew it would likely happen again so I had a spare cable, but my neighbor did not. this can’t keep happening. I will have to work on some fortification.

Would you trust an Ai powered robot to cut your hair?

Several cities in China are now rolling out AI-powered robot barber kiosks. The machine scans your head in 3D and cuts your hair with millimeter precision.

It costs about 60 yen, less than a dollar per session.

Tech isn't just advancing it’s eating traditional service industries faster than we realize.

We always thought creative and personal care jobs were safe from automation. They aren't. If a machine can safely handle a razor around your ears for pocket change, the barrier to entry for AI in the physical world has officially dropped to zero.
I’d still miss the conversation, but for a flawless three-minute trim at that price, the local barber has some serious thinking to do.

What are your thoughts?
