Devil’s Backbone (Euphorbia tithymaloides) cutting - should I pinch the top for branching?

Hi everyone,

I have this Devil’s Backbone cutting that I propagated in water. It has developed some nice roots now. I’ve got more 5 - 6 cuttings too.

My question:
Should I nip/pinch off the top section (the growing tip) to encourage branching? Will new side shoots grow if I do that?

I’m a beginner and want the plant to become bushier instead of tall and leggy. Any advice on when and where exactly to cut, and general care after potting would be really helpful!

What’s that?

It's a philodendron but dunno what kind of model it is. Is that a node or a new aerial root?

New Monstera Adansonii - Lots of leaves but almost no roots. Propagate in water or keep as one plant?

I bought this Monstera adansonii today. When I took it out of the pot, the soil was super soggy and compacted.
As you can see, it has quite a lot of leaves but very few roots.

What should I do with it?
• Cut it into smaller pieces and propagate them in water?
• Or are the existing roots enough to keep it as one plant?
• Or should I just put the whole thing in water as it is to encourage more root growth?

Any advice would be appreciated!
(First time properly caring for a Monstera, so I want to do it right.)

Beginner Question: Water propagation for this big Philodendron cutting. keep as one or cut into smaller pieces?

Hi everyone!

I have this Philodendron cutting (possibly Black Cardinal or Black Majesty) that I took from a tree. It has about 9 mature leaves + 2-3 new small buds coming out, and it already has some aerial roots.

I want to do water propagation to grow more roots first. My questions:

  1. Should I put the whole big cutting in water as it is, or should I cut it into 2-3 smaller cuttings (each with 2-4 leaves)?

  2. For water propagation - is it okay to fully submerge the open cut end and lower stem? Any tips to avoid rot?

  3. General advice for a beginner: light, water changing frequency, when to move to soil, etc.

Is this a Monstera?

Hi everyone!
I found this plant growing on my compound wall/fence. It has these beautiful split/fenestrated leaves and is climbing nicely.

Is this a Monstera? Or is it another type of aroid?

I’m a beginner and would love to know what it is and how to take care of it properly. Any advice on identification and basic care would be greatly appreciated!

Beginner here - How should I pot this Philodendron Black Cardinal cutting? (Plucked from a tree)

Hi everyone, I’m an absolute beginner at planting and propagation. I recently pulled this Philodendron Black Cardinal from another tree. I couldn’t get a bigger piece, so I cut the top section. It already has some aerial roots and looks like this:

My questions:

  1. Should I pot it just like this, or should I make another cut and turn it into two separate cuttings?
  2. Do I need to remove any leaves before potting? (It has quite a few big leaves)
  3. It has aerial roots - will new roots also grow from the fresh cut/open wound at the bottom?
  4. Any general tips for potting and caring for this cutting?
