I tried to make a seperate custom texture and vmt but still suck at it, does anyone got a easy tip to make seperate custom texture without replace the original texture or just missing texture

Do you guys ever use optional trait, it is important or not and if so what is the best trait?

I know there is a mod that replace the common with starship trooper bug but due the age of the add-on and sometime it crash the game, it's just make me wanted some make more common infected mod that replace the common model with either ant lion or other bug creatures
