Saw this on Instagram.

Not sure about the "Disney" part since they would definitely be against it. Also, Disney is a shit company.

Ween + Iron Maiden drawing.

I drew Eddie, Iron Maiden's mascot in The Pod outfit because I was bored and thought it'll be funny. Also, Iron Maiden is one of my top favorite bands.

Oh Sees collection so far.

Thee Oh Sees - Carrion Crawler/The Dream (2011) (2026 Repress)

. - Putrifiers II (2012) (2023 Reissue)

. - Floating Coffin (2013) (2025 Reissue)

. - Mutilator Defeated At Last (2015) (2018 Reissue)

2 of them I bought on eBay (Carrion Crawler & MDAL) and Floating Coffin and Putrifiers II (which I just got today) from local record stores.

I'm thinking about getting either Drop, A Weird Exits, Master's Bedroom, Warm Slime, Orc, Smote Reverser, Face Stabber, or Protean Threat next.

Osees (OCS, Thee Oh Sees, Oh Sees), the band that inspired Gizz released a new album today! "Off Course"

u/mrvgsYT — 1 month ago

Love the new Osees record!

Off Course is great album and I remember earlier JPD mentioning that it would sound a bit like Face Stabber in the new album and that's what we eventually got.

Every song on it is great. "Off Course", almost "Fu Xi" from Face Stabber vibes. I also got almost King Gizz, Flying Microtonal Banana and Minutemen, The Punch Line vibes especially on "Hecate's Reflection Is A Trick". "The Trick" is a great instrumental. "Syringe", another great track. "The Brute On His Knees" (reminded of "The Axis" from A Weird Exits, obviously mentioned in the liner notes). It's also pretty short as well only being roughly 33 minutes, the same length as MDAL.

It's also a surprise that Bridgid fully returned to the band and I thought it was gonna be a touring thing. The last time she appeared on an album with the band was Face Stabber (2019).

I guess my review writing is probably shit, idk. I'm just writing it after listening to the album on my first listen.

I never noticed that the band members are on the front cover of Red Medicine.

I'm not even joking, I never noticed it before.

I know for a fact that the 2022-2023 albums never had an official CD release according to Discogs. From the Willoughby's Beach EP to Butterfly 3000, and Flight b741 and Phantom Island had official CD releases except the 22-23 albums. I'm just thinking up some ideas or suggestions for potential CD releases of the 22-23 albums but I'm not too sure whether the band would agree or not.

Most commercial CD's maximum length is about 80 minutes (1h 20m) (700 MB) so I had to split some into seperate discs.

I'm thinking of Omnium Gatherum could be split into 2 CD's because of the length of the album, but can either keep or leave out the vinyl crackles that's present in the digital/streaming versions.

Another idea is to combine Made In Timeland & Laminated Denim into one disc because both albums in total are 60 minutes (30 minutes each) and both albums are written around the ticking of a clock, with Laminated Denim being the spiritual successor to (and the title being an anagram of) Made In Timeland as described by the band.

Another idea, for the 2023 albums PetroDragonic Apocalypse and The Silver Cord, could possibly include the bonus tracks from the vinyl releases on CD. Another thing with The Silver Cord, the Standard mix is one disc plus the bonus tracks and the Extended Mix is two discs. Should we either have seperate physical versions of the Standard & Extended mixes like with the vinyl releases, or have it as a combined 3 disc set, I don't know.

IDPLMAL and Changes doesn't extend beyond 80 minutes nor have any bonus tracks from the vinyl releases.

Since Flight b741 and Phantom Island's CD releases were on digipaks or digisleeves (whatever), It's likely that they would package them in those.

Omnium Gatherum (4/8/22) (1:20:11)

Disc One: (40:18)

The Dripping Tap (18:17) / Magneta Mountain (6:04) / Kepler-22b (3:12) / Gaia (5:11) / Ambergris (4:27) / Sadie Sorceress (3:07)

Ice, Death, Planets, Lungs, Mushrooms, and Lava (10/7/22) (1:04:00)

Mycelium (7:36) / Ice V (10:16) / Magma (9:06) / Lava (6:41) / Hell's Itch (13:28) / Iron Lung (9:05) / Gliese 710 (7:48)

The Silver Cord (10/27/23) (Standard & Extended Mixes) (2:08:49)

Standard Mix (40:05)

Theia (3:24) / The Silver Cord (4:20) / Set (3:56) / Chang'e (3:46) / Gilgamesh (3:43) / Swan Song (4:25) / Extinction (4:40) / BT: Space Junk (4:35) / BT: Plasma (3:09) / BT: Embryo (4:07)

Extended Mix Disc One: (43:44)

Theia (20:41) / The Silver Cord (12:45) / Set (10:18)

Extended Mix Disc Two: (45:00)

In conclusion, I'm just showing some ideas for potential CD releases of those albums.

This band is called Hypnotic Floor, I remember discovering this band over 6 months ago in one of the posts somewhere in this subreddit and decided to check it out and this song "Toxo" (off their 2nd album Odd Conjectures (2021)) really got me into the band and then listened to all 3 of their albums, all of them are great. This band deserves more attention tbh. I also heard that they opened for King Gizzard in one of their concerts.
