Is it true PinballFX has worse performance/physics than FX3?

I want to play Junkyard. Things are on sale right now and if I can't own a Junkyard table, I'd like to play it as a virtual table. But whenever I look into this all I see are arguments over performance and physics differences between the older (FX3) and newer (FX) versions. I keep hoping those issues will go away - but it doesn't seem they have? Can someone fill me in on that aspect? Is it safe to buy PinballFX?

Thinking of getting a new backpack. Any suggestions in a 20L range around or under $100?

Not looking for anything fancy, just something unique and fun. Boxier is better.

I was looking at some of the first bags I collected and, they're uninspired. I was thinking of taking them to a resale store or just giving them away. But I want something unique to replace them! Any suggestions?? Unique and colourful (not like Cotopaxi necessarily, just something that's not black.)

Paper towel recommendation for drying

In my garage I keep rolls of Viva for my shop rags. They are extremely soft and pretty awesome. I more or less trust them for a quick clean up job on my paint. But I have noticed they are miserable at absorbing water when I'm done. Mostly noticeable on my windows where I can see how it dries afterwards. It is agitating the dirt but nothing is lifting it off. I'm not sure why and I really have no explanation. I could try wiping it flatter?

But I am also wondering if there's just a better disposable towel I could be using. I own all the different kinds of microfiber towels, but they are a pain to break out and use for something quick - especially since I insist on washing them afterwards. At 11 PM I just don't have the time.

So - is there a disposable product any of you have used that dries well? Picks up the water residue without leaving streaks that become visible when it dries? The thing is, if I did use my microfiber, I'd be paranoid after using one once for using it again. I'm fairly paranoid about them in general if any debris gets on them. I know some people buy a stack of cheap towels but that feels harmful to the environment and extremely wasteful.

I want to go for the Wax Achievement - suggest an order of Spirits to go in!

Firstly, I read you can "start" with two islands? How do you do that? I guess it makes it so you don't need to find the "Dream of the Untouched Land" in round 1. That would really speed things up, as most of my runs are me trying not to win while pulling that slot machine arm trying to find it. Though I guess I'd need to make on a 2 Spirit map that I find it with the right Spirit! The guide suggests starting with River, and River seems to have an easy time casting it.

Secondly, I've been following someone else's path but I'm really struggling with the Spirits they're using. Round 2 was Fractured Days and Sharp Fangs, which is manageable but difficult. Round 3 is Thunderspeaker/Shroud/Stone, which is proving to be very difficult as Shroud is just fumbling and Stone began on my new board with a horrible initial draw and no Dahan. They blighted into the "Still Healthy but more Fear needed" card and I think I'll need to restart. But I'd like a different Spirit path.

Running multi-spirit boards is no problem for me. I also think I need to place my new boards better and not just what looks funny.

I am missing Nature Incarnate and Promo Pack 2 - but I have all the other spirits.

Thank you! The fact this achievement exists bothers me, like many Spirit Island achievements. I'd like to put it to bed so I can get back to just doing random shit.

Anyone know any Coloretto variants?

I like Coloretto. I love Coloretto. The base game is very fun to me. Collect cards, always trying to collect more cards. Try and collect three and try not to collect the other three. More is better.

It's great. But it also comes with a variant where you try to get only a few - and it just doesn't really work. It's too easy to take one card a turn. The tension isn't really there, everyone just bows out. But that doesn't mean it is beyond help - it just means it needs some tweaks! But has anyone out there ever tried tweaking the rules for that second Game Mode? Or has anyone tried other Game Modes in general? Maybe a "lowest score wins" variant? Maybe a "Can't take until ____" criteria? I think there's a lot of potential for more in the Coloretto format.

Maybe I'm just too used to 6 Nimmt! where there's 100 variants and expect that from other games. Thank you!

Folder disappeared. No trace of it as a deleted folder or the files within. Only proof it existed are links in Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Recent

Turned my PC on, navigate to a folder I use often. Everything is inside that folder except one folder. I run deleted file software - nothing turns up. I run search files, it's not been relocated. Only thing that turns up is .lnk files in that folder in the title. They don't go anywhere any it asks if I want to delete them.

What the heck happened to my files?? I checked Windows Security's Protection History but it hasn't done anything since March. I checked MalwareBytes but it hasn't run in 28 days. I'm extremely confused right now.

Are there any coupon codes for Chessex?

I don't need to order more dice, and I think I could just not order any. But if I do decide to order some, it would sting less with a coupon.

I'm a little torn because I think I could not spend money, as I am historically bad at not spending money. But if I decide to spend money or if I get depressed, it'd be nice to spend less.

Got a game yesterday with 1" sized dice. I want more! But it's hard to find.

Ideally it'd be an 11-dice set, because I have a bad habit of buying in 11-dice sets even if there's no chance I'd use it for D&D. But just trying to find 1 inch dice seems difficult. Large dice seem to be 2.5 inches or unstated, or sometimes tricks with "This Oversized Dice comes in an 11 Pack" but it's just standard sized dice.

Does anyone know where to look? 1 inch seems huge while still realistic to fit a few in your hand. Thank you!

I don't ever remember a fee for Paypal F&F on my credit card before. Now I am getting $10 Cash Advance Fees with interest. I do not understand what's changed. How am I supposed to avoid this fee? Always Goods & Services and just pay extra? Because it'll be less with the fees than if I have to pay these new credit card fees.

I know someone is going to say "it's not new", but I've never seen this charge on this card or any past cards before when sending F&F, so I do not understand. Is it safe to use my Debit card? I generally avoid using it for protection, but if this card isn't protecting me I don't know what to do. I'm really, really pissed off at this. Money transfers I felt were safe are not anymore.

I want to make a small box version of an existing game. Nothing too complicated, just rolling dice. I'd need to get cardboard pieces though to make the game feel good. I could use cardstock I guess but I'd like something that looks and feels tough. Are there any places that offer that? I imagine I'd need to make a CAD file or something and I'm not sure I can do that, but it's an interesting thought exercise.

I want to make a hexagon around one of those Allplay square boxes. Use the box as a dice tray. I guess I'd need to provide dimensions and artwork (probably just generic 1-6). Is there a print-on-demand service I should look at? Or maybe my local print shop can do it for me?

Heard a great song yesterday. Sounded like A Lonely Night but with a little funk added to it. By the middle of the song with my phone not being able to recognize what sounded like a major hit I realized it was AI. Ironically, AI websites cannot recommend me actual music that sounds like A Lonely Night, so I turn to the The Weeknd subreddit for help.

I had made a post before and was taught to look for these box groupings. I was doing a puzzle just now and while a little stuck decided to try the box grouping. Is this how it's done? This leaves an obvious lone clear box to put a star in, but it seems... strange somehow.
