I made this post theorizing about TPK visuals and after seeing the Washington, D.C. exclusive poster had to make this comparison. Also of note, the Chris Anthony image attached has the caption “Some Sunny Day” which is a lyric from the song “We’ll Meet Again”…which they’ve used to open their shows recently at Wembley and in Nashville👀

I would love to hear them do “Baby, You’re A Haunted House” or “Joyriding.”
As in “you are not the center of my universe” rather than “you are not my child.”
It ties in nicely with the opening line “stars that I watch fade away” (perhaps because the sun is rising?)
The mention of a “son” also would be an outlier…there’s not really any other mentions of a “boy” or “son” on the album, but there are many mentions of a “girl.”
EDIT: Also the sun and light are significant themes in the album as a whole:
“Just fly, just fly, your eyes, and look at the sun”
“Burn in the sun, and we can drown”
“You stole the sunrise from my heart”
“Well to the million lights, a setting sun, a little girl”

Also, I’m not necessarily saying he’s saying “sun” every time in Bike Thief! It would also be interesting if both “sun” and “son” were used in different instances as a play on words/themes.

I made a post awhile ago about the possible connection of Chris Anthony’s (photographer of The Black Parade) project “Seas Without A Shore” to TPK and had to reflag it after seeing this image of Gerard reading a magazine titled “Sea History” at Anfield last night…
It could mean absolutely nothing, but it immediately made me think of the images I had previously posted.
This isn't a dig at her btw- I actually like her new album quite a bit, but found the similarities interesting.

Kobzari were itinerant Ukrainian bards that were typically blind and by the 1800s were required to be blind in order to have the job.
Blind children would train as apprentices for three years to learn the music. Female Kobzari were only allowed to sing (whereas their male counterparts also played instruments).
Traditional songs had lyrics about the fleeting nature of life, the afterlife, and cultural or religious references.
In the 1930s, traditional kobzardom essentially ended when Stalin’s Soviet authorities called all on all Ukrainian Kobzars to attend a Congress in Kharkiv. Those that arrived were taken outside the city and executed.
Despite this, Stalin’s government was not able to fully eliminate Kobzari, so instead they co-opted their traditions, and made Kobzari only sing officially approved written texts, which were carefully censored and modified to be supportive of Stalin’s government (a bit like “Over Fields” perhaps?)
Under Stalin, performers were no longer always blind, though sometimes they were, and others pretended to be.
Not sure how this theory might tie into broader LLTBP parade lore, but I certainly thought it was an interesting tie in with the broader Soviet imagery.
I noticed all the letters in PHANTOM are also letters in Keposhka AND the message on the back of the PHANTOM shirts is in Keposhka (”A game you will play”), so perhaps it's not the English word Phantom at all?
The T in phantom even has the little sideways cross cutting across it like the Keposhka letter T does.
Would translate back to English as the letters HVUBFQK.
Maybe an abbreviation for something? (An album please🙏🥲)
