I can't normal meds after benzos! Everything causes side effects they didn't before.

I've had OCD for a long time and was on benzodiazepines for years. In 2025, I was taken off them way too quickly, and since then things have been terrible. I don't take them anymore but am still getting long-term withdrawals. Medications that I used to tolerate now seem to cause actual physical pain, especially headaches and pain or burning in my eyes. Gabapentin, for example, never used to hurt my eyes or cause these problems, but now it does.

I've been to rehab and I've tried AA, but AA was an absolute joke for me and didn't address what I'm actually dealing with. I can't afford expensive treatment programs, and I genuinely don't know where to turn. This isn't just anxiety or OCD anymore—the headaches, eye pain, and other physical reactions I experience with medications since coming off benzos have become a major part of the problem.

The combination of OCD, anxiety, and physical pain can become unbearable and make me feel absolutely fucking suicidal and hate my life, although I'm not planning to hurt myself or do anything. This shit is miserable though!

Can an IEE have an 8 fix?

Can an IEE have an 8 fix? If so, how would one distinguish that from an SEE? I know this thread blends the 2 systems, but the people in this forum seem to be well informed, so I'm curious what you say

Odsssaeus from, "The Odyssey"

For those of you that read the book or have seen the movie (the movie is basically identical to the book), how do you type Odysseus? I have So/Sx 8w9 and Sx/so 1w9 in mind. How do you type him? I'm going with social 8 since he did initially start as a conquerer.

How many Se ego types enjoy watching shows about the acquisition of power?

One thing that I've noticed is that Se ego types (xSxP) types and mobilizing Se types (LIE and EIE) enjoy watching shows and reading books about the acquisition of power. I've found that other heavy Se types can be good in positions of power, but they don't really enjoy these little power games.

I'm not necessarily saying that Se egos and mobilizing are all crazy bossy control freaks or anything. What I'm saying is that they often value shows and books that touch on this. For instance, I've observed that Se egos really love crime shows that revolve around little power grabs. Like the 50 Cent Starz show entitled, "Power" is a great example of what I'm talking about.

Se egos, I've noticed, also enjoy shows that are nonviolent but still involve political power games like, "House of Cards" for instance. The show involves power, leverage, politics, betrayal, etc. They also enjoy reading books about power grabs like, Nicollo Machiavelli's, "The Prince" or Robert Greene's, "48 Laws of Power".

This is just a thing I've noticed. Also (as previously mentioned), Se mobilizing types seem to enjoy these power dynamics as well. However, what's interesting is the LSE and ESE (that have 4D Se) can do power dynamics but since it's unvalued, they don't seem to care about it.

SEE: Are you into spirituality and WOO?

Are SEEs ever into spirituality and WOO? I'm talking about highly spiritual things like Ghosts, Witches (Pagan's as many prefer to be called), spells, UFOs, spiritual healing, and Reiki.

Are SEEs ever into this because I find all the claimed SEE types that are into this turn out to be EIE irl that I know. Could they be like this if they did a ton of dualizing for example?

Was Clint Eastwood's character Walt Kawasaki (Grand Tarino) SLI or LSI?

Was Clint Eastwood's character Walt Kawasaki (Grand Tarino) SLI or LSI?

Was the Clint Eastwood, Walt Kawasaki character from "Grand Tarino" LSI or SLI? He seemed to not give a damn about offending people, which made me think Fe PolR. However, he teaches the kid he was mentoring basically how to use Te and Se. The Walt character was very ST but I'm not sure if he was SLI or LSI.

The kid Todd, who he seems to mentor, seems to be EII or IEI. Also it makes me almost think that Walt was like LSI or something because we can see that the kid was kind of weak, and not a very strong man. However, Walt teaches the kid about how to make money in the blue collar field (Te) and how to be a "real man" and stand up for yourself (Se), and the kid seems to value both functions.

Personally, I believed Walt was SLI, but that's until I saw the barbershop scene. In this scene, Walt is instructing Todd on how to "talk like a man". To me, an SLI wouldn't care about this, and this seems like teaching this kid Fe social rules. Idk, maybe that's just me, but I'm leaning LSI. What do you guys think?

I think that each Instinctual Variant needs to be split into 2 parts! It all makes sense now!

(This will be long, but bear with me)

There should be 6 variants, and not 3. Some types would relate to one variant part, but not at all to another. I think each variant should be split into a Mars and Venus component. If you guys read this theory, I think it'll make the theory make a lot more sense.

Sx Venus: This is the Sx that you see in a typical sappy romance movie. This is the deep-love, intense and passionate Sx that one thinks of when one thinks of Sx. To envision this brand of Sx, think of Jack and Rose in, "Titanic" where they fall into this deep, passionate, and intense love. You'll see a lot of NF types like this and heavy Fi types like this.

Sx Mars: This is also very intense, but not as much about personal one-on-one merging and deep personal connection, but more about raw passion, and just deep, freaky, intense, sex. Think of like, "50 Shades of Gray". This one actually is interesting because a lot of ESTP, ENTP, and ENTJ types would relate to this type, however they would also not relate at all to the SX Venus type.

So Venus: These types want social belonging. They want to be part of a group, or a community. These types when unhealthy can sometimes get into hive mindsets or groupthink, or they can be a part of social causes that change the world (on a more positive note). Many heavy Fe types would probably relate to this, especially ESFJ.

So Mars: This type wants prestige and wants to be seen as competent and important in their community. They very much care about what people think of them, and want to be at the top. Yes, I realize that this is very 3ish, and you'd be correct. However, I think that a lot of this has to do with social variant too. For example, a social 3 ENTJ cares a lot about prestige, but they could care less about social belonging.

Sp venus: This type wants financial security and safety. This is the self preservation of like the ISTJ for example. They are always stockpiling money and saving for a rainy day. This type is very worried about physical safety as well. They are very in tune to their physical health as well, and are quick to notice when they are ill or something is wrong with them.

Sp Mars: This type is basically just a pure capitalist. This is the type that is all about: The cold hard cash and has money on the brain constantly. They don't necessarily have to be evil or crooked in any way, they are just very entrepreneurial and very business minded. They are often big money risk takers. For instance, many ENTJ types would relate to Sp Mars, but not at all to Sp Venus.

These are just the ideas that I've been playing around with. Thoughts?

Is there an AA program that takes mental health disorders into account, or is it all the same humdrum?

I was tapered off of benzos in 2025, and this has singlehandedly been the shittiest existence of my life. I was not told that after I was tapered off, that my Central Nervous System would be in haywire, and that it'd be next to impossible to sleep afterwards. I also didn't get the memo that benzos were being shadow-banned by the DEA. I don't know anyone that gets benzos anymore, and none of the drug dealers I know carry benzos anymore. For all intensive purposes, they seem like they are extinct.

I was prescribed benzos for 10 years but then I got raised to 3mg and it started burning my eyes. I went to Optometrists and Optomolpgoists, and no one could figure out what was causing this. I brought it up with my psychiatrist and even told him I thought the pill was causing it and this fell on deaf ears.

Eventually, I just tapered myself to 2mg but afterwards my anxiety was horrible. I told my doctor that I was drinking and he told me to stop drinking or he wouldn't prescribe me benzos anymore.

Eventually, I decided that it was time to go to Rehab, however this would prove to be a huge my mistake. I could have chosen any rehab but I chose a certain one due to convenience. If I could get off alcohol, and just take Klonopin, I'd be good, and this rehab would help me.

However, the next day when we were woken up by our assigned psychiatrist, I was given a nasty surprise...my psychiatrist that prescribed me Klonopin had a side job, not just working for this rehab, but he led the entire team. Because of this, he weaned me off Klonopin, and nothing has worked every since. The situation has been miserable, and according to my new psychiatrist, she's never seen a substance harder for people to come off than benzos. Apparently, they are number 1.

How does LSI choose which rules/code to follow?

LSI is associated with following rules and adhering to a code, but how do they know what code to follow? For, instance, I was watching a documentary about the a police officer, who was very rules oriented, and did everything by the book. The guy wouldn't bend the law for anyone, no matter what. This is basically what everyone would associate with the LSI.

However, then I watched a documentary about a famous Capo (Mid-level mob boss) named, "Sonny Franzese". He is the father of the fairly famous gangster, "Michael Franzese". Anyway, Sonny was also LSI, but the guy was a total thug: he'd do contract hits, shake people down for money, and loot semi tucks and sell their stolen goods. He would break damn near, every societal law in the world and was a multiple time felon.

Here's what's funny though: Sonny followed the Mafia code, etiquette, and guidelines to perfection. He believed that these rules and this gentleman's code of etiquette was necessary for the mob to continue to survive throughout the years, and viewed this code as gospel. He'd break all of the societal laws, but followed Mafia code to the letter.

So how does this happen? How does the LSI choose which rules and codes of conduct to follow?

Let's talk about OCD vs OCD Personality Disorder

I didn't even understand that there was a difference between OCD and OCPD. I wasn't even aware that this was a thing until recently. So someone explain the difference for me? I have standard OCD, and I have a lot of anxiety, intrusive thoughts, and compulsions. I'm driven mad by these intrusive thoughts, and it makes me want to basically just stay drunk 24/27.

Now, I'm going to make an attempt to understand OCPD. OCPD people are basically like the controlling director who's making a movie right? Everything has to be just right, just in place, and this goes for not one small detail should go overlooked. They are regimented, logical, and there's only one right way to do something: there can't be 2 correct ways.

They come off like a regimented military Drill Sargent who is constantly completing tasks and is making sure the floor is scrubbed to perfection. When, they are bored, they clean just for sport. They are constantly cleaning, washing, and scrubbing everything, and they must be control at all times, or nothing will be done right.

Are these basically the main differences?

People who have OCD and are financially successful with a spouse and child....I want to talk to you

I'm sick and tired of lurking in this forum just to encounter the one guy who is down on his luck, has panic attacks all day, and stays at home with home with Mom. I want to hear from the people that found a med or therapy that worked, can have sex in these meds and can live a normal life. How did you guys do it?

Why does everyone act like the 9w1 is so moral and righteous? They'll abandon you at the first sign of confrontation.

Idk why everyone acts like the 9w1 is so moralistic and righteous? You could be friends with them for 15 years, and they'll abandon you and leave you in the dust if there's any chance that they've upset you and that you're going to have a confrontation with them. These guys would prefer to throw themselves over a pit of flames before having a confrontation. This is that much a a huge deal for them. I have had multiple 9w1 types leave me in the dust after years of friendship, just to avoid a fight

Did Alexa Bliss know this was going to happen? Why would you sign up for a 6 month injury?

We all know wrestling is fake but this injury is definitely not fake. Did Alexa know that she was going to take this injury or did Jade do this by surprise IRL?

Is it a heavy Se or Fe thing to scream at the TV and want to sing along with the crowd?

I love watching WWE wrestling with my family. Many of the wrestlers have a unique catch phrase or something the crowd is supposed to chant when the wrestlers come out. For example, one wrestler named, "Seth Rollins" has a very catchy theme song and when he comes out the crowd is supposed to chant, "WOOOOAH WOOOOAH WOAHH"! This is it....

https://youtu.be/z23RjZfuUq4?is=-EAEGXkog6A89rav

Anyway, also I notice the same types of people also do things like scream at the TV screen when their team is losing, like, "Come on Broncos! Let's go!"

I would think it'd be more of an Fe thing, because I notice it's mostly people with heavy Fe and Se that do this. For example, you never see an ILI do this. They despise this. However, my SLI brother watches wrestling with me regularly and he sings along with the crowd. Idk it's weird.

Has anyone tried legally getting Ketamine injections or microdosing Ketamine for anxiety?

I've tried every SSRI and anti-psychotic known to man for anxiety and they all failed for me. The only thing that has worked for me has been benzos and those are impossible to get now. I've heard good thing about legal Ketamine. Has anyone tried it?

I openly despise and have fought fist the, "Just be a man" people.

OCD and panic disorder can be debilitating and completely exhausting. The panic attacks are mentally hell and leave you totally incapacitated. However, despite that I am a man.

In the male world, one is taught to be tough, strong, resilient, and take care of one's family. HOWEVER, I have seen an annoying amount of men with zero anxiety disorder constantly tell me that I'm, "A pussy" and to "Suck it up and be a man.".

I despise these men because I'd like to swap brains with people like that and give them a good taste of OCD.....Not only would they never say ignorant things like this ever again...BUT.... They'd probably do anything (and mean anything) to get rid of this anxiety.

Can't get a good job without good mental health, but can't get good mental health without a good job!

I'm in a disastrous situation right now: I live in the United States and the mental health care here is an absolute joke. I have had Panic Disorder my entire life and have really outright suffered with panic attacks since childhood.

I have tried every medication known to man, every medicinal herb known to man, and every form of talk therapy known to man to treat my condition and nothing has even held a candle to this anxiety except benzodiazapines.

I have tried over 20 different SSRIs and they destroyed my intimate relationships with women and gave me side effects so devastating that I was basically trading anxiety disorder with a physical health condition like stomach pain, headache or even joint pain.

Since being weaned off benzos, many meds that used to work for me, now give me odd side effects so I need a doctor that understands benzos in and out to be treated. Many people think I'm drug seeking because of this but I'm not. I just simply want someone that understands the medication because otherwise they can't help me.

It's sad because a good 8 out of 10 doctors that I've heard of that prescribe Xanax are already filled up and not taking new patients. I've found a few doctors that don't take insurance that will prescribe it for like $400. Should I just do that? I promise I'm not drug seeking it's just that nothing touches this problem but the the damn benzos! It's so hard to keep a job without them!
