my husband and i are on different sleep schedules. he typically sleeps from 10-4 and i sleep from 12-8/8:30. he hates it, and his reasons are as follows:

i believe that different people have different inner clocks and circadian rhythms, and i also just prefer to stay up a little later. i don't think 8-8:30 is that late to wake up, i still am on time for things in the morning. he also compares me to his exes and said they always woke up early and went to the gym (he never went with them). he wants me to wake up at 6 but i have a hard time falling asleep early and i don't want to be exhausted all day. i was just a contracted janitor so i dont know any details about the movie making process, but it was still really cool. its a place not usually open to the public so i expect most people to be curious about what it was like on campus and in the buildings

i have a 12 week old lab puppy. two days ago, he got a large injury in his mouth and needed a lot of stitches. he's a very good and well behaved puppy by nature, but i know that no matter what, recovery will be a nightmare. he's in the cone of shame and i can't let him chew on anything but soft food for two weeks. usually when he gets bored i give him a chew toy or play tug of war with him, but that's not an option obviously

this restriction is starting to drive him crazy, and it's only the first day. i thought of getting one of those textured mats that you spread peanut butter on. that might be safe for him. any one have other ideas on how i can safely play with him?

i have a 10 week old lab. this is my first time raising a puppy. my husband has had a lot of puppies. i believe im doing pretty good cause ive done a lot of research, and our puppy is just really well behaved and a super good boy. we're still working on potty training. ive been doing a lot of positive reinforcement with treats, try to take him out at least every 30 minutes or after nap, play, food or water. i dont discipline when he pottys inside, i just grab him and bring him outside saying "oh no baby boy, we potty outside!" then put him on the ground in his potty spot, and prompt him with "go potty!" immediately followed by a reward if he goes.

well, obviously, he's only 10 weeks old, so he still has accidents pretty often. my husband is telling me that my method sucks because all his puppies were potty trained by this age. he says youre supposed to rub his nose in the pee, swat his nose, tell him no, and put him outside. ive already told him ive read that this is a bad method, explained why, but he claims he knows more about raising puppies and the internet is wrong, because our puppy still isn't housebroken with this method

my dog had a litter and we're keeping one of the boys! he's a chocolate american lab. we're really struggling to pick a name, we just cant agree on what fits. we're looking for something uncommon, i dont want to know or have known of any other dogs with the same name. we want something that sounds "cool". these are some of the names we've considered so you know the vibe we're going for: baxter, sully, axel, dax, denali, diesel, and similar names. please help!!
