[####] I would be OK with repeated words

I don't really care if a word has been used as the answer before as I play each game fresh without reference to previous results. Am I alone in this?

BYD Explorer No. 1. No, not a new EV, it's a vehicle transporter and it arrived in Southampton (well, Marchwood) yesterday evening

Due to a medical condition I've been told that I can no longer be a blood donor. If I could persuade even one person to sign up in my place I would be happy.

The NHS is always looking for new blood donors. Giving blood doesn't take long and is really worthwhile. Just 1 hour of your time can help save up to 3 lives.

Donor sessions are usually busy and the staff quite jolly. Sign up here:

For Scotland it's: https://www.scotblood.co.uk/

For Northern Ireland it's: https://nibts.hscni.net/

For Wales it's: https://www.welsh-blood.org.uk/

Edit: I'm really moved by all the support. Thank you to all who sign up.

It's OK to lose

We've all seen this - one team is close to winning and players on the other team quit, triggering autobalance.

Guys, it's just a game, it's OK to lose. If your team is about to be beaten then take it with good grace. Think of the other players who will be autobalanced to take your place.

Yes, real life happens and sometimes you have no option but to quit in the middle of a round. But don't bail just because defeat is imminent.

If you don't experience the losses then the wins won't be so enjoyable.

My electric shower stopped working mid-shower while I was still soapy, I had to rinse off using a jug of water. It's pretty old so thought it had just died. Just tried it again and now it's working again!

Like a fool I went and checked the fuse near my main fuse box. Had I been thinking clearly there's a light on the pull cord switch that shows that power is OK. 🤦‍♂️

Maybe some sort of thermal problem? It probably needs servicing, I wouldn't know how to do that.

Heathrow’s third runway could become ‘the next HS2’. The airport expansion will not be finished until 2040 at the earliest thanks to fish ponds and substations that must be moved, a report has warned

Proposal for 1GW battery at Redbridge

Early stages but it will be interesting to see if this goes anywhere. As ever no mention is given of energy storage but it seems that other 1GW BESS systems typically store 8GWh.

Plans for huge battery storage facility revealed near Southampton port

>The proposed energy storage facility would feature 512 battery units, with the site surrounded by a security fence and acoustic fencing to the north.

>It would take around 18 months to build, subject to securing planning permission, and be operational for up to 40 years.

So apparently I scratch myself in my sleep. I am not a cat owner.
