Just got a 1.5T and super scared about head gasket issues.

Hello everybody. I recently purchased a 2019 accord 1.5T with about 129K miles for $7200. I love the car and it has been amazing.

I had no choice but to get a new car after my transmission failed on my 06 accord. Im financing this car bc i dont have the money upfront.

I never had luck with older cars. I had a 2005 Kia Sorento that died, and now the 2006 Honda accord died as well. I tried to get something newer and ended up finding this car for a really good deal. The car is literally in phenomenal condition, no scratches, and looks almost brand new. Carfax is clean with no accidents, regular maintenance done on time like brakes, rotor oil changes, transmission and break fluid flushes.

My problem is after buying this car, I looked online and heard a bunch of issues about the 1.5t having head gasket issues. Guys, I don't have a lot of money, and if this car breaks, I'm completely fucked. I need this car.

Are these issues really overblown. If not, what can I do to take care of the car. Don't care about racing people. I'm not the type of guy to floor the car down and race people. Im just a point a to point b guy.

Is a server position worth it as a second job?

Hello everyone! I'm 22 and live with my boyfriend. We split the rent for our 1 bedroom apartment. I only have one part time job which i make $22/hr. It had worked for now but my car died and I had to add in a bill for a carnote.

Im trying to bring in an extra $600-$800/mo. If i work about 3-4 days a week, do you think I can make that in a month?

Worth it to exchange my 77' C5 for a Bravia 8?

I currently got a 77 inch C5 OLED. I love the TV but I've always wanted a Sony TV because of the Image Processing.

The Bravia 8 is only $100 more. I have a PS5, Switch 2 and Apple TV. Is it worth it? Im using the TV in my living room

I like an idiot didn't think before hiring someone to cut to small outlet sized holes in my apartment...

Already know I'm an idiot, so please I was just wondering how I can go about getting this fixed. I recently hung my TV and I wanted the wires to be completely hidden. I called my landlord and they said it was OK for me to put holes in the wall to mouth the TV.

I confuse drilling and cutting holes completely fucking differently. My brain had a fart. I hired someone and they cut two small outlet size holes into the wall to hide the cables and install one of those tv wall outlet kits where the is an outlet at top via a surge protector. (I did not have him install an outlet.)

I plan to stay in this apartment for a couple years, but after hanging in the TV, my brain went completely oh shit why did i do that? How difficult is this to patch up? Do people commonly do this in apartments?

Should I put a job I worked at for 2 months on my Resume?

I'm currently in the process for looking for jobs closer in my field. I recently was hired at a retail job that paid very well and I took it because my current job didn't pay me enough to afford my rent I was about to graduate college and needed to move into a place.

Obviously, I don't wanna work here forever, so I started applying for other jobs. My performance at my new job has been very strong My managers consistently talk about how I'm a good asset on the team. I still work there currently and have zero plans of leaving until I find another job. Resume says I work there currently

My fear is that it will look bad putting this on my résumé, even though I've been working there for only two months. I want to work somewhere closer in my field and take advantage of my degree because even though I get paid in my current retail job, money still sometimes a little tight.

Would it look bad to include this in my résumé?

How do i pick up shifts in UKG?

I see there is a shift available quite literally almost everyday. I have 100% open availability in UKG. I set it as that. Im not exceeding maximum hours. But every single time I click on a shift that is open it just shows me my own schedule with no option to pick up anything.

Does anyone have a fix for this??

Terrified of being let go in the future

I am a new employee and started my first day of reverse shadowing today. Im a huge apple fan and i was so excited to work here.

I heard of the metrics but im still nervous. Today at reverse shadowing I did bad. I only got 3 Apple care attachment. That was after an hour of like 20+ Apple pick up customers, and 2 normal customers buy an iPhone.

I got ZERO service, no accessories. Im so scared. I need this job to pay my rent. It was my first time and i wanna do well but i heard horror stories on this sub reddit. I literally almost in tears because im so fucking scared of being fired. What if i never get better. PLEASE DO NOT JUST TELL ME TO GET A NEW JOB.

AIO for telling my mom I would like some financial privacy.

I am 22 years old. I recently graduated from college and I about to move into my apartment with my boyfriend next month. Im beyond excited.I secured a pretty good paying Job. Have alot of money saved, and my rent cost is very low.

My mom always has had trouble letting me or my sister grow up. I don't mind telling her things like how much I make hourly or my day at work, but she will always ask me questions like "how much money do you have now?" "How much money do you have saved up" it makes me feel like a child.

I will provide an example. My family has been sending me money to congratulate me for graduating college. My mom sent how cards to remind people and they will send me money. She will ask me "who sent you money so far so I can tell them thank you after you do" Understandable. No issue with telling her this. But after EVERYONE sends me money she will ask "how much she gave you?" "How much did you get?" "How much did they send you" This imo is a reach of privacy for me. She also ask me things like "how much is your paycheck?" "how much you got saved?"

After this I couldn't take it. I respectfully told her "Mom i would like to have a little financial privacy please" This made her mad. She said "you wouldn't get shit if I didn't send out those cards for graduation" and "You're acting like in trying to steal your money."

Am I overreacting?

Are hours this poor usually for employees?

I recently was hired as a specialist the Apple Store. While im having alot of fun, my hours are not enough.

My first two weeks I was given great hours. First week was 38 and going into my second week im getting 36.

After that im literally at 2 days one week for 16 hours then the entire rest of the week off?? The week after that I have 18 hours.

I literally need only 25-28 hours to support myself financially. My manger told me 20 hours is the minimum i will always get but im not getting that at all.

I have 100% open availability. I see they're plenty of shifts to pick up but i cannot pick them up because I'm still in training.

Is it always this slow?? Are the hours you guys have this poor as well?

Anywhere hiring for late night shifts?

Looking to apply for a second part time job overnight. The shift would have to start around 10-11pm. Are there any options? Thank you!

For those y'all who are part time who have a second job on top of this, what do you do?

So I was recently hired part-time for the Apple specialist role, even though I applied full-time.

Can't freak out about it was done is done now. My manager told me that I can expect anywhere from 15 to 20 hours a week but sometimes it's more but 15 to 20 hours is the minimum. He told me it can always be more but thats the usual

This uncertainty is stressing me out and it's not enough to support me financially, of course.

I know Apple scheduling can be very wonky and weird so I was wondering if there's anyone else out there who has to work a second job on top of Apple retail what do y'all do and how do you make it happen?

Also, has there been anyone here who has been part-time and been promoted to full-time rather quickly and how did you make that happen?

Does it look bad to ask for extra hours before even starting?

I recently applied for a job thinking that it was full-time, but I got the call. It was part-time. This is my only source of income and I have to pay rent. Please do not tell me to just quit. This is my own income and I'll have nothing. If I do quit I have to figure something out.

I just want to know does it look bad to do this? My manager told me that I'm expected to get around usually 20 hours a week, but it's always a possibility to pick up more shifts and get more hours. He also said that I can always get scheduled more as well.

After doing my finances, I calculated that I need exactly 30 hours a week in order to comfortably afford my rent and other bills

I haven't even started my first day on the job yet. Would it be wrong for me to ask for more hours possibly or to see if I can get bumped up to 30 hours a week at least?

Hello everyone, I was recently hired as a specialist at my local Apple Store.

I'm a little bit worried about sales performance as this will be my first job. I was wondering if I can get any tips

After doing some research, I realize that these things are important

1.) talking about Apple Intelligence.
2.) a business intro (not sure what that is)
3.) selling apple care
4.) adding Apple services (apple tv, music, etc)

I was wondering if there anything else I forgot, but what are tips to be successful at this?

I've heard various people losing their jobs because they're not performing wealth in their metric numbers and I need this job in order to pay my rent and I'm terrified of that happening to me.

What can I do to be successful and for anyone who has been successful in this role how do you accomplish it?

* please refrain from saying things like ("word of advice, leave and find another job." Or "don't show up.") i'm looking for legitimate advice.

So heres my plan. Im in need of a new mac. I want to upgrade my M2 Air (base model) because it only has 8gbs of ram. I do alot of photoshop, and video editing and the ram is struggling to keep up.

I also LOVE my iPad and use it to create 3d models but I have the 11 inch iPad Air so it can feel very restrictive in the space.

Since i am no longer in college, and live at home I would no longer need to portability of a laptop. I was thinking of going ahead and trading in my M2 Macbook Air and 11 inch iPad Air together to get an 13 inch M4 iPad Air to have a bigger canvas. In a way it would be my MacBook replacement.

I then would buy a Mac Mini for $699 (student discount) since I no longer would need the portability and save a couple hundred dollars. I also have a PC i use for other task so I would have a Mac Mini and a PC.

Hello all! I have a question! I was recently hired at Apple part time and my first day is coming up. In order to afford my rent, I need to have another job. Its hard to find another job that fits my schedule as well as best buy.

So I asked my manager if it could be done. He said he could make a call to Apple corporate and see if it can be done but best buy corporate has the greenlight.

My tittle at best buy is a Retail Warehouse Associate and my tittle at Apple will be a U.S Specialist. Is this still a conflict of interest?

Thank you once again in advance!

Like for example what times do you guys usually work for part time

Hello guys! I was recently hired as a specialist at Apple! Im very excited but I was hired part time. I heard many people get great hours part time. Do you think it possible i can fully score 35-38 or maybe 40 hours a week part time with full open availability.

I'm looking to move in apartment with my boyfriend spitting the rent in half for a $1100-$1450 ($550 - $725 a month per person). Im trying to see if i should peruse a second job based off the hours.
