cmu.eduCheckmate in Iran - by Robert Kagan
Wonder how Kagan's take goes over with Cohen and Edelman. A tl:dr summary (but the article is recommended):
- The article argues that the U.S. and Israel have already lost the war with Iran in strategic terms, even if fighting continues and Trump insists he is winning.
- Iran has effectively turned the Strait of Hormuz into a contested or partially closed waterway, driving up global energy prices and demonstrating it can disrupt the world economy at relatively low cost.
- Trump’s strategy has been a series of coercive escalations—airstrikes, a “shock and awe” campaign, and then a blockade—without a credible exit plan or achievable political objectives, which leaves Washington stuck with bad options.
- Tehran’s leadership believes it can outlast U.S. political will and exploit Trump’s domestic vulnerabilities, betting that Americans and allies will tire of higher prices and ongoing risk more quickly than Iranians will endure economic pain.
- Any endgame now likely involves the U.S. accepting negotiations largely on Iranian terms (including de facto control over the Strait and sanctions relief), meaning Washington will have to dress up a defeat as a “deal” or hollow victory.

Outstanding white Burgundy
Really enjoyed this with tuna and prawns. Crisp, the consummate white burgundy, mineral tones, dry, nice light fruit and acid, a little buttery not overly oaked. Really nice. Will have to look for this in the U.S. Exactly fulfills my expectation of what a white burgundy should be.
Wood Screw
Okay woodworkers, help me out here. This is a very high quality, very old wood screw. It's located in a castle in the south of France. It appears to be made to pretty high standards and tolerances. I'm pretty sure it was for applying pressure. But for what? It's an enormous GD thing.
Over 750hop and under 900kg. There is nothing quite like the T50s. It's simpler and purer than its so-called rivals.
Chris Harris gets behind the wheel of the Gordon Murray Automotive T50S to explore its engineering, lightweight design, and track performance. Alongside Dario Franchitti, the discussion delves into the development process, the unique challenges of creating an accessible yet extreme track car, and how it compares to standard road-legal supercars.
Not all going to Nvidia obvs. but raising is good, expected.
What else should expect from the biggest douche ever?
