Transferring Avion points somewhere?

My husband is a churner and has some Avion points from RBC. We might not have any personal travel lined up for some time is there a way to transfer these to Air Canada or Marriott?

Apologies if this is too basic for this Sub. Just trying to close out the card and get the points taken care off.

Free day spa pass for gold + status members.

Recently stayed at a Marriott resort ( yeah wonder why people do it too, I had to do it during a work visit in the resort) on inquiry I was told that while the gym does not have a sauna I can get a free day pass for the spa and can use the sauna there.

Just wanted to let others know. And absolutely love the chat function on the app. Get responses from humans in a reasonable timeframe. :)

Happy MarRiotting.

Costco business center does deliveries.

Costco business center in Ontario does deliveries in their own freezer truck and the staff is awesome .

It's great for meal preplanning and getting meat, chicken delivered. The staff is not allowed to accept tips and the delivery is well coordinated. They reach out if you do not answer the door and call to say when they will come back around if you miss it due to some reason.

Super convenient and no hassle of entering the parking lot or paying extra for delivery.

Happy customer here!!!

Quebec has lower prices for all the Quebec residents for all attractions, Ontario does not why?

We recently travelled to Quebec and everywhere we went - Aquarium, Montmorency falls seem to have reduced price for Quebec residents because they pay into the tax system for the province. Which seems like a good incentive for the locals to go and explore places. I live in Ontario and trying to understand why the same is not available for Ontario residents?

Maybe they pay more provincial tax and we do not? Just trying to understand if there is a logical reason and not just a political reason?

Persistent cough and no help from primary care physician

I have been struggling with persistent cough since Spring break. My kid got something at spring break in March and since then its been persistent cough.

For six weeks it was the worst with just bouts of cough to the point where I had a cough multiple times in a one hour call at work.

Have been to the primary care physician about three times and nothing from her. Just the usual it's not bacterial it's viral so I can't give you anything.

I am other wise healthy, no medication, late thirties. My main job is to speak for work and it's just becoming impossible to continue.

I am lost as to what I need to tell her for her to take me seriously or where else can I go to get some relief. Anyone has any pointers on how to escalate this?

Struggling to get Aeroplan number added to flights consistently

I book AC flights using our business trip manager which has the Aeroplan number added in the portal.

Recently booked a flight which will give 35k status but the Aeroplan number did not get added to the itinerary. However this flight showed up on the AC app without having to be added into trips.

So AC knows it's me however not adding the Aeroplan number meant no zone 2 boarding and no wifi because the itinerary did not have the Aeroplan number. Is there a way to see this before the flight and add the Aeroplan number to the booking of not present?

A public channel to share your thoughts about the management, board, company that you work for

Hello Ladies,

Last week I was discussing with my colleague on some things that our board at a corporate company should be doing to keep ahead of the curve in the age of AI. That led me to an idea of writing a open letter to the board or the management of a corporate company publicly.

Presenting

https://openletter.ninja/

It is a fully anonymous platform to submit what you think the board or management should be doing in a company that you work for. Nothing is tracked and there is no singing for the website.

Enjoy adding your thoughts on what you think your company could do better to feel better, lighter about your thoughts.

Happy to get feedback and new feature requests.

Boomers not wanting to retire making work seem like a retirement home

Just started climbing the corporate ladder and a happy IC. Climbing in a thought leadership role and not a people management role.

All the RVPs that I am having meals with are 66+. No offence against age and ageism I will be there someday too but being in those conversations is depressing me. No wonder millennials do not have it together or climbing the ladder as boomers are refusing to let go.

Has anyone else noticed it?

I know life expectancy is increasing and everyone wants more $$, extend their social security but this is just making it harder for younger generations to even get a seat at the table.

Keeping up with all the AI products that are under the Google Gemini hood?

What is the best way to keep up with new product launches and their uses? Seems like their products are all over the place.

Flow has no connection to AI studio, no way of finding the labs projects in other spots other than that URL. Like how does anyone keep up? Maybe something I am missing out on?

AI created infographic slop is overwhelming

The infographics with excessive data that does not give any concrete information or makes one point with as many words as possible.

On LinkedIn all I see is infographics for everything suddenly even recruiters are making Job descriptions as a poster? Do I need it? Does it say anything other than you have an opening and there is a JD link which we can see. Does it have to be AI generated slop?

Social media for small businesses is exploding the same way. I have my own small business but I am hesitant to use AI unless I have any good information to share. But people are just creating crazy posters with AI which convey no information.

My brain is overwhelmed and zoning out the minute I see complicated posters and infographics.

Anyone else feeling the same?
