Youtube on DOE Chromebooks

It wasn’t on the Chromebook last year but it’s on it today. You might want to run some searches to see what’s getting through.

Is one of the premises of the show that using one’s profession will always expose the complicated wrongdoings on their part?

I guess the show wouldn’t be interesting otherwise: the killers are too arrogant to hire professionals.

Another frequent feature is that which is automobile-related.

West Virginia

Anyone been there recently? I’m working on visiting the 50 states and sadly I need to make sure in advance that I’ll be safe enough in this political climate. Traveling with two friends of color and several children. Destination Harper’s Ferry.

Do you pay attention to UV index?

Do you limit consecutive days in the sun? What about oncoming headlights?

I’m back to work f/t (with neurologist’s caution) and so this is my first spring since diagnosis that I’ve had to be out and about in the sun. (I can’t always ask to wfh. And in my industry, I can’t always have a stand-in— the whole project has to be reworked.)

Is there a type of sunglasses that works for folks?

Sorry my questions are all over the place— I’m coming out of a sun-drenched aura week.

Best episodes Seasons 9-11

I became a fan of the series after I got tired of Seinfeld (not that there’s anything wrote with) reruns back in the day. But by the beginning of season 9 of Frasier, I thought that the plots started to decline. (9 was the last season I bought on DVD and I haven’t rewatched it in years, nor do I remember when I gave up, but Can Winston was involved.)

But I just bought the box set and, thanks to you guys 💜, I’m gonna give S9-11 another chance!

Start me off, Will ya? If I can watch the better episodes first without ruining it, then I ask for season-by-season favourites to get me back into it. If not, direct me to the chronologic approach.

PS. To give you an idea— my favourite seasons are 6 and 8, least favourite are 3 and 5.

Are there any places open for breakfast/brunch really early where I might score a table for two if I show up when it opens? Willing to travel.

I’m a sushi fan who’s highly allergic to shellfish but would like to try the Omakase experience at least once.

Posting here because I figure parents can appreciate the need for a quieter cafe.

I can use the libraries but I occasionally have zoom meetings and need to talk.

Unsolicited tips that brought my DNFs to zero.

  1. No buying books full price unless I feel strongly about supporting the author;

  2. No buying more than one book full price per quarter;

  3. Keep a constant public library ebook or two on loan;

  4. Have one or two books from my own library preselected as “likely soon;”

  5. Keep 3-4 novels and 3-4 nonfiction titles on loan from the library at home at all times.

And then, when I’m finishing a book, I’ll pick among that “mini library” based on my mood that day. (Sometimes I list them on here and get good advice as to what best suits whatever current mood.) It works!
