VoIP Blue Boxing

Many years back I heard of a project using Asterix that captured the tones from a blue box so you could simulate blue boxing, is anyone aware of these project at all or something similar?

Am I An Introvert

Genuine question. As I’m confused and I’m old enough to have worked this out surely at 43, but really don’t like my reactions to situations.

If I see people I know when I’m out, I’ll avoid trying to say hello, like I’m an awkward teenager out with my parents and I’ve seen someone from school. This reaction feels compulsive, like it’s without conscious thought.

I feel awkward speaking to people, like I need to run off. Prime example tonight, I’m out on my motorbike and another biker does a U turn to pull over and chat, that’s a great person. But compulsively I feel I need to leave and say bye, but I’d rather have had an actual conversation.

I can’t do small talk at work, wish I could, but sit working in an office for eight hours with no interactions.

I hate myself, as how I respond and act isn’t who I want to be. Thoughts?

Action 4 Records In 20 Minute Blocks

I’m using my Action 4 when I’m on my motorbike. However it appears to be recoding in 20 minute blocks. Is this because I started recording via the app on my phone? It seems to pause recording when my phone rings too.

Swimming

I have Epilepsy, my daughter comes swimming with me, and usually my parents are there too, so I’ve never had to discuss with anyone at the pool my Epilepsy. However, I’m considering going on my own, do you tell the lifeguard?

Bus Lanes

Bus lanes in Worcester are limited to buses and cyclists, yet in most other cities bus lanes can be used by motorcycle too as it allows them to filter safely. It would be great if Worcester started doing the same.

Communication Issues With Child

Since my divorce four years ago I’ve struggled with communication with my daughter, she’s 12. Sending regular, almost daily text messages go unanswered. Calls go to voicemail, when we talk at prearranged times I get a brief few minutes before “I have to go”.

My daughter is an 80 mile round trip away, soon to increase to over 200 miles. I only see her every other weekend and ever other weekday evening to take her to dinner.

I’ve explained when she moves away, we need to get better and communicating as I’ll see her less - In reality I’ll probably hardly see her. Does anyone have any advice on how I can try and remedy this? The only time they normally call me is because they want me to buy something for them.

Epilepsy & Hen/Stag Parties

Appreciate this is an odd one but only those with Epilepsy would likely understand.

I’m getting married again in the next 18 months, which is great. My fiancé is going to have a hen party but for my stag party I’m just Meh…

My first marriage was before I was diagnosed with Epilepsy. And my first stag party was nothing too crazy, just go karting, drinks with friends. However after my first few clusters of seizures I never drank again. Never been a big drinker, but do miss it to some extent, but being sober around people drunk can be annoying.

Anyone else been in a similar situation? Can anyone recommend activities? I feel kinda bad that I just feel Meh.

Blackpole Speed Bumps

Changing the Zebra crossing to a Pelican was the right idea, but the new speed bumps on the approach to the crossing are a nightmare. In a car you can barely reach 15mph and have to try and swerve around them on a bike or motorbike. Whose grand idea was this…

Surface Rust Removal

Some parts of my motorbike have surface rust, such as the exhaust. When it’s winter I’ll rub it down, and respray. However is there anything I can use when I next wash it to tackle this?

What’s the law around fitting a tail tidy. Do I just need to add a reflector to the number and ensure the number plate isn’t pointing to the sky?

Passed my CBT in November, got my motorbike in March. Wanted to pass Mod1/2 as soon as possible, my personal aim was to complete them in August. However I’m now left wondering if I should continue to ride on my CBT for another year to stick with my original plan. The thought process behind this is whether I’m not ready and fail and it becomes more expensive than just waiting and gaining experience.
