The DB HBR 5. Charles Deutsch and René Bonnet created a Gran Turismo sports car in the small-displacement class, that was very successful in long distance races such as Le Mans and SCCA club racing. The compact and very light HBRs were equipped with modified Panhard flat-two engines.

1939 Alfa Romeo 8C 2900 B Touring Berlinetta. The 8C2900 Alfa is reckoned to be the fastest road car made before the war and the ultimate 1930s supercar. This was the pre-war GTO equivalent and the prices reflect that. It sold for €16,388,000 at the 2019 Artcurial auction.

The 1938 Peugeot 402 Darl’mat Special Coupe was born from a collaboration between dealer Émile Darl’mat, designer Georges Paulin and coachbuilder Marcel Pourtout, with full factory support. A sibling roadster finished 5th overall and won the 2-liter class in the 1937 Le Mans. Only 3 coupes survive.

The Lancia Astura Aerodinamica Coupé 233C by Castagna has a shortened 1932 Lancia Astura chassis and is fitted with a late-series 2,972 cc narrow-angle V8 engine. The aerodynamic body was designed by Mario Revelli di Beaumont for Castagna and originally came off an Alfa Romeo 8C 2300 Lungo.

1960 Alfa Romeo 6C 3000 CM Pininfarina Superflow IV. Originally raced by Fangio with a Colli body in the 1953 Mille Miglia, this car was gifted by the factory to Pinin Farina, who rebodied it four times with distinctly different body styles. Designed by Aldo Brovarone it foreshadowed the Duetto.

1954 Alfa Romeo 1900C Super Sprint Coupé by Touring. The Alfa Romeo 1900 was the company’s first all-new design with unibody construction in the wake of World War II. "The family car that wins races” was Alfa's slogan at the time. They forgot to add that it also looked good while doing that.
