When did the indoor cam C120 get discontinued?
Had no idea and only found out when I attempted to purchase one the other day. Was this recent or has it been a while?

I have a Plus and Orange. 95% of the time I open the app it’s to do something with the Plus? Is there a setting I’m overlooking to have the app default to showing me the Plus instead of the screen that shows the plus and orange and I have to choose one?
Curious if anyone has compared the built in camera AI on the S3 Pro with the HB3 AI Empowerment? Both offer Human, Pet, Vehicles and Other, with AI Empowerment offering Human Recognition, which I’ve found to be quite lacking, making it a not compelling addition. Eufy seems to talk up the AI Empowerment but is it actually better than using the built in camera AI on the S3 Pro? Curious to know which works ‘better’, if anyone can speak to this.
Curious if all or only some functionality has been migrated to the Google Home app, for the Nest Protect smoke detectors? These are my only Nest and Google products, so if I don’t need both apps, I’d love to get rid of one.
Wondering if anyone else is experiencing issues with Spotify and CarPlay? I don’t know if it’s due to the new app release of Spotify, 9.1.46, or the release of 26.5, as I upgraded both around the same time this morning.
Issues are the now playing view showing the wrong song from what’s actually playing.
Was looking for ideas to prevent cobwebs over my camera lens’ and flea collars were mentioned. I was a bit dubious at first, but decided to buy a box of the cheapest ones I could find on Amazon. Wrapped the collar around the camera mount closest to the camera’s rear. Did this with four cameras and I can say with confidence that it really helps. And will depend on what is near it. For example for ones with a nearby external solar panel I discovered I needed to wrap a flea collar around its base as well as the spiders were using it as a launch pad to get to the camera, lol. But I’ve gone from having to remove cobwebs every week to maybe one a month.
I keep remote access disabled but was really wanting notifications on my phone for things like devices going offline, etc. Only recently discovered that UOS supports Webhooks in Alarm Manager. I started using that in conjunction with Pushover, which is an app and notification service. Incredibly easy to set up. I’ve been using Pushover for a long time with my HomeKit setup and appreciate its very flexible API and feature set. I really like being able to set certain alarms to trigger a Pushover notification that uses iOS’s Critical Notification to never miss the notification. Just wanted to share that.
I have an HB3 that I removed from the app when it was offline so it didn’t get reset. When I boot it up the LED is red, as expected as it has power but no internet (I didn’t plug in the Ethernet cable). I have held in a pin in the bottom reset hole, can confirm I feel it depress the button inside, for up to 45 seconds but never get the blinking light and reset confirmation. What am I doing wrong?
Rough outage. Worst since I’ve been a user. I have two HB3’s and one remained working, presumably using a different AWS instance that didn’t go down. Disappointing that the devices aren’t designed to try to use a different instance when it’s ‘primary’ is not working for some period of time. Or that eufy wasn’t able to change things on their end to redirect those ‘bad’ IPs to point to operational instances.
I happened to notice that my G2H Pro uploaded 20MB of data last night to aiot-camera-usa.oss-us-west-1.aliyuncs.com
20MB is a significant chunk of data when I’m not using any kind of cloud storage and we’re talking about maybe some analytical data. Any idea what is being uploaded?
More context: I have some eufy battery cameras. They connect to my WiFi network and then communicate with the eufy HomeBase device. Frequently Firewalla will indicate that the cameras are offline when they are functioning properly. Is it because the cameras make no outbound requests and are only communicating with the HomeBase, and so Firewalla isn’t seeing them?
Edit to add: I only have a Firewalla router. If I were using an AP7 I don’t think this would be happening. I’m using UniFi APs.
I have this setting enabled. But curious what the Setup New Vault button does, and why/when would someone want to set up a new vault?
Just got the Home app alert about an update to the IKEA KLIPPBOK sensors. Anywhere to see release notes?
Will it use both the built in 16GB storage as well as the added internal storage, or does it switch to using just the added internal drive?
And I don’t know why I am thinking about this, but is there any reason I should wipe the recordings from the built in storage before adding the internal drive?
The UniFi descriptions says:
> uses BSS transition frames to inform clients
But it appears I am able to enable the 5ghz roaming assistant setting without also enabling BSS Transition. Is this just an oversight by UniFi or does it indeed work without enabling BSS Transition?
I’m using the Aqara FP300 directly in HomeKit. My trigger is occupancy detected and lux is below a certain number (when it’s dark in the room). However, I noticed that when the lights turn off, it takes about 10 seconds before the light sensor on the FP300 updates. Which means if I re-enter the room within 10 seconds of the sensor showing no occupancy, my automation to turn on the lights won’t happen. Note, it’s a kitchen, so it’s more common than you would think to re-enter quickly after no occupancy state.
So here’s my workaround. The automation trigger is no occupancy. I then use a convert to shortcut. My first If condition is confirming that the light is on, and if true I turn off the light. Within the initial If, I then do a repeat loop 10 times. Within the loop I use an if/else to check if there is occupancy and if so, turn on the lights and stop the loop, else wait one second (and continue the loop until it completes).
The end result is that if I go back into the room after the lights were turned off but before the light sensor updates, the lights still turn back on.
It’s always hard to describe a convert to shortcut, but hopefully this may help others. And if you’ve found a better way to deal with this, please let me know!
Reviews of it aren’t bad, but few seem to be blown away by it. It’s been out for a short while now,
