[NBD] Riverside 120. And a little rant.
Sold my Rockrider ST100 to get this.
And I could immediately judge the QC of RS120.
Bike itself is awesome with great tyres and handling. Only issue is with the QC.
- Front rims slipping when I hit the brakes.
- Right brake lever bent.
- Derailleur off tune (this is my 3rd bike bought brand new from Decathlon and I've always received the bike off tune).
- The Allen keys in the box were not even usable.
- The bolts for the bottle holder on the frame are bolted on using a power drill at the wrong angle.
- The rear V-brakes have the cable screws tightened too much that the cable threads have broken.
The Rockriders/fake MTBs I owned in the past didn't have any QC issues except bad gear tuning.
My history with BTWIN:
2016: Rockrider 340 Orange. Was my first BTWIN bike and I could tell it had an edge over Hercules or Hero. It had an issue as it arrived without tuning of the derailleur. Thanks to this I learnt the skill myself eventually. It was fun riding it to school everyday.
2018: My Rockrider 340 got stolen and due to grief, I bought a used MyBike for dirt cheap and used it till 2020. This was when I trashed my bike like anything with the most rough usage, and it was easier on the MyBike to ride hands-free. Also developed my leg muscles riding it 2km continuous uphill to school everyday as it was a single speed. Didn't care much about QC as it was bought for dirt cheap.
2020: Gave the MyBike to our security guard and got myself a Rockrider ST100. Even this had an off-tune derailleur, chain slipping many times, and sacrificing my chain guard eventually. Rode it a lot to high school and also went on long rides with my friends to forest reserves in the outskirts of Bangalore. It was hard to ride hands-free as it's no more a rigid fork that I'm riding.
2026: Read a lot about RS120 and felt like trying it, so gave my Rockrider to my cousin and placed the order for RS120. Review is above with pics attached.

I wish to trade in my ST-100 to Decathlon, but it's far from where I live and I can't ride cycles for 2–3 more years due to bruises from an accident I recently met with. It's also kinda expensive to ship an ST-100 to the nearest Decathlon. So, I want some inputs from people who have sold their cycles to Decathlon recently, to help me decide whether transporting it there is worth it.
Condition of cycle is good and it's well maintained, The derailleur and shifter is brand new.

A stack of Topps PL cards along with two signed cards of Alan shearer.
Story: I do play sports but don't watch sports, I know jackshit about football. My old neighbour unc worked as a marketing head for Topps and he took me along with a few other kids to the event, I got these cards there for free and also got to play with Alan Shearer with a short concise coaching lesson by him, in the end, we had signed cards from him.
Idk how important Alan Shearer is, but there was a huge crowd waiting for him outside the place.
