Can’t stop taking photos at sync points!

Admittedly this might be a boring post for some, but I’m just enjoying the hell out of this game at the moment.

It’s funny because I’ve never been into pirates or anything of the sort but there’s something about this game that’s special.

Bonus photo at the end of (IMO) Edward’s coolest finishing move.

Happy gaming lads! 🎮🏴‍☠️

Having an absolute blast and glad I ignored the haters.

I’m fairly new to the AC franchise as a whole. I bought AC Shadows as my first franchise game about 6 weeks ago - even the guy at the game store thought I was weird lol.

But I’ve been thoroughly enjoying Shadows…so much so that I bought Black Flag Resynced probably 2 weeks after, then I bought Mirage last weekend.

TBH Mirage is the one out of the three that I contemplated longest to buy. I watched like 3 YT reviews and listened to two separate episodes from two separate gaming podcasts - all of which had fairly negative things to say about it.

I’m 25 hours in and honestly could not be happier. The story is engaging, the investigating is interesting and I don’t have an issue with the combat.

The only ‘gripe’ I suppose I have with this game is sometimes having to obtain multiple clues to get to what someone’s possible identity could be can get a bit grindy…but you’re never going to get a game that caters 100% to you and does everything perfectly.

I actually count myself lucky that I’m new to the franchise and haven’t played the older games, because it seems to me that the people who aren’t happy with Mirage or Shadows are the same people who are lifelong fans of the original trilogy and Odyssey; which of course it totally fine - play what you love!

I guess that’s my point to all this. The weird discourse around Mirage and Shadows has seemed to divide fans of this franchise which is just counter-productive IMO.

So yes…I’m currently swapping between three Assassin’s Creed games - all of which I’m absolutely loving and simply cannot put down.

Happy gaming! 🎮

House of Wisdom - Find the Missing Brother

I’m up to the part just before investigating the library where you follow this dude wearing green who tells you he can ‘help you find’ Ahmad Ibn Musa and takes you to a garden area where you get ambushed by three guards.

I’ve never had an issue with combat before but for some reason I can’t seem to fight these guys and barely have time to block/parry or dodge.

Is there something I’m missing? Or do I just keep trying? I feel dumb but hopefully there’s just a detail I’m missing and I can get past this mission.

My only gripe

I picked up Mirage over the weekend after playing Shadows and BF Resynced side by side.

I’m playing on PS5 and absolutely loving it so far as I hoped I would (so glad I ignored the weird discourse around this game) but can someone please tell me why in the world the dodge and crouch buttons are swapped?

In both Shadows and Resynced, and most other games I’ve played tbh, square is crouch and circle is dodge.

I can’t seem to change it in the menu settings and I can’t figure out for the life of me why they would swap it 😂

Add to that the focus command being so close to the whistle…I’ve found myself in a few bits of trouble when I first started the game.

It’s just a tiny thing and if anyone knows of a way to change them without doing a whole custom input, your advice would be greatly appreciated!

Happy gaming everyone.

What the hell is this guy’s problem?

Dude was all polite and respectful in front of his father-in-law then turns out to be the rudest person haha

Surely this can’t be accurate?

I’m only just over 20 hours in and somehow I’ve completed 40% of the game - this can’t be right?

I’ve killed 5 of the Onryo and a few other important figures but I feel like I’ve barely scratched the surface.

Help me understand pls.

Am I doing something wrong? - I just cannot seem to parry

Pretty much what the title says…

I’ve just come off GoT and GoY, and I’m also playing AC Shadows - all of which I feel have a decent parry system.

But for some reason I can’t seem to parry during combat in this game. Am I doing something wrong? I’m literally hitting L1 just as an enemy swings at me and it doesn’t block the attack - I still get hit and it drains my health.

Any help would be appreciated, sorry if I sound stupid.

Finally got it - let’s go!

I’m relatively new to the AC world…I got Shadows as my first Assassin’s Creed game and I’m only 20 hours in but I’m loving it.

My wife bought Black Flag the other day and it’s almost done downloading - really keen to get stuck in!

Happy gaming everyone! 🎮🏴

Relatively novice gamer here with what might be a dumb question…

Hey everyone 👋🏽

I recently started AC Shadows after completing GoT and GoY, I picked it up as I love Japanese lore and thought it’d be fun after watching some play through videos - shoutout to TheRadBrad!

This is my first Assassin’s Creed game and I was wondering what is the best way to increase my health bar?

I’ve completed a couple of small missions but my health is still atrocious. If I get spotted and have to fight my way out of somewhere, one kick or strike from an enemy and I’m dead even after consuming all my rations.

Do I just need to continue levelling up? Would it mainly be through increasing XP or is there a better way?

As I said in the title it might be a dumb question so hopefully I don’t get dragged in the comment section 😅

Thanks!

Late to the party but just finished - 10/10 game. The hunt is over.

I bought GoY for a friend’s birthday, he finished it a few months ago and let me borrow it. I’ve got two young kids so it’s been difficult finding the time to play but I just finished earlier tonight and it was such an amazing experience.

Unfortunately a lot of the screenshots I thought I took didn’t save so these are just a couple that I could share.

I really hope the game has a very simple HUD

The best thing about Ghost of Tsushima and Ghost of Yotei is the guiding wind feature instead of a map/compass.

Though I don’t expect Wolverine to necessarily have the same mechanic, it would still be cool to have gameplay take up almost 100% of the screen.
