Currently looking for a gaming laptop that will serve as a replacement for my PC while I'm gone. I don't play heavy games at all, but I would like to start when I'm on break / vacation and thought it'd be a decent time to get a gaming laptop.

However, for every good review of a laptop I see -- I see like 3 other bad ones. I just can't tell what's worth it.

I'm trying to stay in my range which is 800-990, and going to 1k at the most. I know that's a tight budget but I'm mainly shopping through open box and used deals on Ebay for the cheapest options.

Hi! I’m currently trying to find a backpack for college. I’m a chronic overpacker and even though I have a decent sized backpack (Large Seoul Kipling), I swear it’s still not enough. I feel like it’s because it only has 1 pocket rather than multiple—which leads me to stuff everything in one pocket and another smaller pocket.

My stuff has like a lot of wear on its corners due to this now. I’ve been trying to find a backpack that has many pockets and is large.

As of right now, I’m looking at the Fjallraven Skule 28 but I feel it may be the same problem as my kipling.

Any suggestions?

Probably irrational bonus, but I’m 4’9 so I want to try and find a backpack that won’t be insanely bulky somehow—but I know that may be impossible.

Extremely yes, I've mainly been looking off fb marketplace and open-box options on best buy

14-inch, since that's the size of my current laptop and it's fine

I don't expect it to be super heavy, but I don't know, maybe not the weight of like a full fledged gaming laptop.

• Purpose

It's mainly for school (I am an english major so I don't require anything that needs to run like nasa heavy software) but I want to play *some* games. My current laptop craps itself trying to run abiotic factor and the binding of isaac, but was slightly okay with persona 5 royale. I don't expect to play triple A games but at least something that can actually run isaac without freezing and shutting down.

• Form factor

I've been looking at the lenovo yoga 2-in-1's so that's a nice form, but I'm fine with a standard clamshell as well.

• Intended usage

Microsoft Office, google docs (lol), the binding of isaac, persona 5 royale, maybe some of the RE remakes.

• Desired battery life

4 hours unplugged is fine, I lug my charger everywhere.

• Please list, in order of most important to least important, the priority between Size, Weight, Performance, Battery life

Performance, size, battery life, and weight.

I just graduated community college and I am transferring to a 4-year! Today I went in to schedule my classes and gosh, the array of classes is soooo amazing! I am totally excited… there’s legit a seminar for medieval manuscripts and book-making…and that’s 1 out of many classes! There was barely any at my cc so I’m super duper excited :D.

I am an incoming transfer dorming at Starkey and I'm currently making a spreadsheet of things to get. There aren't any photos on the site or anything online (like dorm tours) so I was wondering what necessities to get for the apartment that people get.

Like, do I need a plunger and toilet brush? Kettle? Etc. etc.

I’m an incoming junior transfer and I wanted to know where transfers are typically situated? I feel like they changed the housing portal because I didn’t even get an option to rank my campuses (I submitted it super early).

I know I’m “competing” with first-years but they’re in traditional res. halls and I know transfers can apply to apartments and suites.

Any junior transfers (specifically NJ cc students) who transferred have experiences with where they got placed?

Tried to find a facebook group because there’s one for Bayonne but I couldn’t find anything. If anyone knows of any or seen any flyers, LMK! on the search for retro games :)

Currently reading “The Sun Also Rises” and just a bit puzzled by the dynamic between Brett and Mike. He was fine with idea that Brett and Romano (the bull-fighter) were probs having sex, but was so aggravated over Cohn being a weirdo.

I assume it has something to do with the themes of masculinity. Robert Cohn is a sad, pitiful, and pretty pathetic man. He is not completely assertive or confident. While the bull-fighter is, honestly, just really cool and confident. Also could be partly due to anti-semitism considering Cohn is a jew

Trying to find a game to play with my boyfriend, we played left 4 dead and both really enjoyed it. However we decided to try something different with COD zombies and it just wasn’t as fun. After some fighting games we decided to play left 4 dead 2 and it was great.

I’m not sure what it is but I just find left 4 dead much easier to play compared to other games that are even remotely similar with the whole zombies concept.
