The air conditioning fiasco just reflects wider on the country’s culture of being resistant to changes

People complain every year when the temperature goes up. But nothing changes. Landlord says no you cannot install. Government does nothing. School does nothing. Some say energy wastage. Everyone gives all sort reasons while you go to less developed countries and they all have air conditioning in their apartments.

People in Switzerland suck it up. Complain the next year again. This just reflects the country’s culture as a whole - it’s so damn resistant to changes. Good or bad.

“We have been doing well for hundreds of years so far in our old school villagers way, so don’t question what has worked well, and fall in line please.”

I wonder how this villager mentality of being resistant to change is going to hurt this country much more in other ways for years to come.

Will the James Dolan Knicks players have the balls to not show up or will they chicken out? Stay tuned!

If Brian Wright had the most basic foresight as an NBA gm, he would have anticipated that the current nba landscape that goes back to 7 years ago gives every decent team a chance to compete for a ring EVERY YEAR and he should have done much more before the trade deadline

We have seen 8 different champions in the last 8 years. League changes have resulted in no super teams before formed after the warriors and we have also seen injuries getting more and more common that resulted in new teams having the chance to go further in the playoffs as long as they stay injury free. That was how the Pacers emerged last year.

And this was how the Spurs managed to go so far this year with how the stars have aligned. The core players are young, there is less mileage and risk of injury on their bodies, and they recover from small knocks. Meanwhile, there were injuries in the western conference opponents.

When Spurs managed to defeat the defending champion Thunder for 4 times before the trade deadline on 5th Feb, yet lost to the NY 2 times. The team is second out West at 34-16.

Brian Wright (same Klutch Sport as Mitch and Fox) should already have a feel that this team has the potential to go far in the playoffs, and do some minor adjustment to adjust the weakness of the roster. Yet, he did nothing except waiving off Sochan who probably leaked all the inner workings of the team to the Knicks.

Most of the criticism were against Mitch and Fox, but I felt Brian should carry a huge responsibility as well for failing to take any actions despite the team already proving during the regular season BEFORE THE TRADE DEADLINE that they can go far.

Hope these three Klutch Sport Trio, including Brian Wright, could redeem himself this post season, as much as Mitch and Fox.

Shoutout to all banned r/nbaspurs who had criticized Fox’s play

I know many people, including myself, who got banned on the r/nbaspurs subreddit as a result for criticizing Fox’s play. This finals games are the best vindication for all of us and the world could finally see how Fox is truly not a good basketball player.

Just wanted to do a shoutout to all my friends who got banned as a result of that. This makes the mods of r/nbaspurs look as stupid as they are. If anyone knows any good ways to shame them further, feel free to share.

Fox was trying to be that hero that he wasn’t meant to be and will never be and sacrificed his team in the process

Dude wanted to be known as the guy who scored the winning bucket so badly that he is willing to risk his team losing the game in an nba finals match.

What a selfish player who placed his ego above the team. If he has any sense of dignity left, he should put up a request to the coaches to come off the bench next season. That’s assuming he is not traded by them.

Just address the Knicks as James Dolan Knicks anytime you mention that team online

This will remind them that team is still owned by someone they hate to the core but have no choice other than to accept it.

Am I silly for preferring the Grizl 5 AL to Cube Nuroad Race at similar prices even though the Cube comes with GRX?

Could get both at the same price. The cube nuroad race comes with GRX, while Grizl 5 is cues. But I much prefer the milk color and frame shape of Canyon. Is it silly to completely ignore the GRX of the Cube and go for Canyon just because I like the frame design and colour more?

Is there any psychological explanation for why I become an asshole after getting onto a bike?

I am a good citizen and follow the rules all the time. Once I get onto the bike, however, I can feel myself turning into an asshole.

While other cars stop, I ignore the red light at traffic.

At pedestrian crossing, I do not stop for pedestrians.

I even find slow cyclists irritating even though I usually do not have any disdain for other human beings.

Is there any psychological explanation for why I can turn into an asshole instantly just hopping onto a bike????

Were dentists in Singapore primary school in the 90s unethical by doing unnecessary drilling and filling?

Me and many of my friends have our teeth drilled and filled with ugly dark spots in primary school during our routine dentist check during the 1990s. This practice has since been outdated and from my conversation with my dentists this is simply not necessary if the hole is not significant.

This got me thinking, why did the dentists do that back then? Do they earn more from doing that? Why can they do that to a primary school kid when our parents are not around with us to make that call?

Should I go with S or M for a comfortable ride on the new Grizl 5 al?

Not too hardcore riding. Just enjoying the mountains at a steady pace. Heard people saying that it’s better to size down for a more comfy ride. Should I?

Me and this hobby jogger at the local trail started our "Couch to 5k Ultra" journey around the same time, about 8 months ago. We became pretty friendly—we’d trade Gu flavors, talk about our Zone 2 heart rates between intervals, overall cool dude.

But the past few months I’ve noticed he’s started copying literally everything I do. My training block, my pre-run beet juice protocol. Then it moved to every single piece of gear. Same Garmin, same hydration vest, same anti-chafe stick. He literally asked me which 2-inch inseam split shorts I wear and bought the same three colors.

At first I was kinda flattered, thought maybe he just wanted to look fast, but then it just kept going.
Last month I put some of my saved up allowance into a home setup. Got a Woodway treadmill and a commercial-grade cold plunge because the local path gets ridiculously packed with "resolutioners" and people walking four-abreast after 5pm. I mentioned it once in conversation and now he’s been casually dropping hints about coming over to "sync our strides" on the Woodway.

Like, I actually like the guy and I don’t want to be weird about it, but this is starting to feel like he’s trying to steal my identity. Am I just overthinking this, or is there a point where he’s going to start showing up to races in a mask of my own face to shave 10 seconds off his PR? And if it is an issue, how do you even bring that up without completely killing the friendship?

Help.
