Was in Osaka for a few days, and look what I found in a vintage toy shop! Too bad I cannot bring anything that resembles a gun home! This was so cool!!

Hi everyone, I’m in Osaka for the weekend and been looking around for boxes.
On my list I have:
Hidden Hope — Opus 22 (XXII)
Hidden Legends — Opus 24 (XXIV)
Tears of the Planet — Opus 25 (XXV)
Gunslinger in the Abyss — Opus 26 (XXVI)
Dreamlike Oceans — Opus 28 (XXVIII)
Starter Set 2025 Vol. 2
I already found:
Journey of Discovery — Opus 27 (XXVII)
Blissful Eternity — Opus 29 (XXIX)
Starter Set 2025 Vol. 1
Does anyone know reliably where I could fine the rest, or at least some more in Osaka?
Been all over Den Den Town and found my boxes in
Toreca line in Namba, but nothing else.
I’m only buying to collect, so I’m ok with Japanese cards (actually prefer them to be honest)
MTG is all over but these are so hard to find, I’m only just getting started :(
Thank you!
EDIT — Update after hunting around Osaka:
Did a lot more searching, so leaving this here for anyone who finds this post in the future.
Toreca Line Namba
This was the best place I found for sealed boxes in central Osaka.
They had a handful of Blissful Eternity (Opus 29) boxes, around 2–3 Journey of Discovery (Opus 27) boxes and Starter Set 2025 Vol. 1.
I bought a Journey of Discovery box (¥6,250), Blissful Eternity box (¥7,800) and Starter Set Vol. 1 (¥1,490)
BAR UNKNOWN — Namba
Had 1 Blissful Eternity (Opus 29) box, but it was around ¥1,200 more expensive than Toreca Line, so I passed.
MINT Games Shinsaibashi
Found quite a lot of loose Tears of the Planet (Opus 25) booster packs for ¥440 each.
BIG MAGIC Namba
did not have anything.
Frontier Tenroku
Also nothing.
Card Festival / カードフェスティバル — Moriguchi
Found 3 Gunslinger in the Abyss (Opus 26) booster packs.
They also had a box of loose FFTCG cards, and the guy working there actually gifted me one of the loose cards with my purchase :)
Cosmo King — Neyagawa (4F)
Found Starter Set 2025 Vol. 2 here and bought it.
They also still had 2 Blissful Eternity (Opus 29) booster boxes.
This place had a massive selection of loose FFTCG cards I mean a ton of just cardboard boxes of bulk.
The bulk was around ¥300 unsleeved / ¥500 sleeved.
They also had a display with special cards you can buy for a price, ranging from ¥300 to up to ¥9000
Cosmo King is the shop on the 4th floor. There is another card shop on the 3rd floor of the same building. They do MTG.
So my final haul so far:
- Journey of Discovery — Opus 27: booster box
- Blissful Eternity — Opus 29: booster box
- Tears of the Planet — Opus 25: 12 booster packs
- Gunslinger in the Abyss — Opus 26: 3 booster packs
- Starter Set 2025 Vol. 1
- Starter Set 2025 Vol. 2
I still haven’t managed to find:
Hidden Hope — Opus 22
Hidden Legends — Opus 24
Dreamlike Oceans — Opus 28
Biggest takeaway: FFTCG is WAY harder to find around Osaka than I expected.
MTG Final Fantasy is absolutely everywhere, but FFTCG is another story. Even several stores associated with FFTCG had nothing when I actually visited.
For sealed product in central Osaka, Toreca Line Namba was easily my best find. If you’re interested in singles and don’t mind taking the train out of central Osaka, Cosmo King Neyagawa had by far the best loose-card selection I saw. (It was really far away)
I’m only collecting rather than playing, and I’m keeping everything sealed until I’m back home so I can open it all properly.
Hopefully this helps the next person — and saves their wife from being dragged across half of Osaka looking for Final Fantasy cardboard 😂
Vielen Dank!
Danke!

I have the original ally, it was never really great, first as I was too new to handheld and the insane unusable only one always library I was just not accustomed to. But the more I got used to it and was able to preload games offline before going on flights the more I liked it.
After some time I saved enough to buy a new SSD, a 2 TB Lexar SSD.
I installed it installed a clean version of windows on it and had my fun.
After some time, randomly when playing games and having it plugged into a travel charger I bought (140Watts Gan) it just rebooted black screen with a percentage and reboot.
At first I thought it was the charger… but no, even with the supplied charger it would restart.
Then I thought it was heat but even when the system is not under any load it would reboot.
Now I’m worried it’s the SSD… and I don’t want to buy a new stupid expensive SSD :(
Does anyone have an any info on what this could be?
Is Al khail avenue mall trying to get into the Guiness book of world records for mall that took the longest to complete? I feel like that place has been under construction for more than 10 years…
I’m looking for a SLK 172 (so 2012 onwards) without a sunroof.
My sunroof is in bad shape the polycarbonate sunroof Mercedes decided to try out in their first year has decided to delaminate.
So I want to wrap the plastic in car colors and install a solid headliner inside the car basically cancelling the sunroof window.
But for some reason Mercedes and other spare parts places cannot sell me the solid headliner because my vin does not have a solid headliner.
So instead, I want to simply borrow someone’s VIN, buy the damned headliner and be done with the project.
Any help would be appreciated! Thanks!
Hey, the manhole cover that covers the mainline sewage exit to the street is completely rusted shut. I cannot lift it to sort out a massive blockage. Since it’s inside my property line, I need to hire someone as DEWA refuses to intervene.
Does anyone have a good contact who can remove the manhole cover (by force if need be) and replace it with a functional one? And also clear the blockage?
Thanks!
I've been trying to understand the event and experience-design landscape in Japan, particularly around Tokyo, and was hoping to get some insight from people working in the industry.
I'm referring to companies that sit somewhere between a creative agency, technical integrator, and show producer. They typically handle things like interactive experiences, LED content, projection mapping, touchscreen applications, museum or visitor-center installations, brand activations, live event visuals, show control systems, and real-time graphics using tools like Unreal, Ventuz, Notch, etc.
Examples of the type of companies I mean would be Moment Factory, Float4, Obscura Digital, Electrosonic, or projects similar to teamLab, although perhaps more focused on events, exhibitions, museums, visitor experiences, corporate shows, and brand activations.
What I'm trying to understand is:
One thing I'm particularly curious about is the scale and quality level of the work.
From the outside, Japan has a reputation for technology, design, entertainment, and immersive experiences, so it's easy to assume that projects on the level of Moment Factory are common. In reality, is that true?
Are high-budget, highly integrated projects like large-scale interactive experiences, immersive environments, projection mapping, visitor centers, museums, themed attractions, etc. relatively common in Japan, or does the market mostly consist of smaller projects with more modest budgets and production values?
In other words, are companies regularly delivering work at the level of firms like Moment Factory, or are those projects the exception rather than the norm?
I'd be interested to hear from anyone working in events, exhibitions, museums, AV integration, experiential marketing, show production, or creative technology in Japan.
Thanks!

I'm trying to understand the commercial AV and experience-design landscape in Japan and was hoping to hear from people with firsthand experience in the market.

Serious question, how is Gems Founders In Barsha?
From a community perspective, what kind of teachers are there? Are they attentive? Where is the majority of students and teachers from? How is communication?
Any info is appreciated!
My kid is aspiring to become a pilot, to a point where all of his choices regarding school and his GCSEs are based around joining the Emirates pilot training.
I just want to reassure myself what he really needs for a successful application. And what I can help him with to see it through.
He is 16 and in the middle of his GCSEs.
Thanks everyone!
Edit: he is not Emirati.
Guys I’m struggling to find alfalfa hay for my baby rabbits 😭 anyone know where I can get it? Been going around looking.
Anyone know where we can find good alfalfa hay for not an arm and a leg?
