Update: finished my first color work!

By "first" I mean first finished because this took me 4 tries.

1-2 are the finished project! Still need to trim and weave in the ends. 3 is the first post I made here because I was unhappy with the colors. Basically got entirely new colors and I'm much happier with it. This project was really satisfying because it went quickly!

I also decided against working three colors at once and did the double knitting as suggested by the pattern. Not sure I love it, I think I need to do them more loosely next time.

I think I'm going to make this one more time now that I have a better understanding of color dominance. I think the most forward tree color needs to be the dominant one, i.e., dark brown dominant, then blue, then green. I used the lighter color as the dominant color but I think the blue trees get a little lost in the green ones.

**Pattern:** Nancy Bates Washington Beanie:

I'm obsessed with her patterns! I'm asking for her book for my birthday.

FLEAS!? MAYBE!?

We live deep in the country and we're religious about my dogs tick and flea medicine (heartguard and nexguard). We were on simparica trio, but it wasn't working on the heavy ticks we have here. Nexguard is better.

Anyways, we've now found 3 fleas in the house. (We typically find 2-3 ticks a day, dead or alive. There's no preventing it really, it's weather based and we've just accepted it). 2 on my partner (alive), one of the dog (dead).

I'm calling the vet tomorrow, I'm just wondering if this means she carried them in from wildlife or something (uptick of raccoons recently) and now they're living in my house, or my partner just brought a few hitch hikers in from yard work.

I got flea spray and flea wash (both "natural " and pesticide-y) but I'm not going to use them until I talk to the vet because I don't want to poison my dog.

Dress recommendations?

I want something to wear to the office that is easy, classic, tailored, dark colors, and a natural fiber (linen? Cotton? Silk?) doesn't need to be for court, doesn't need to be machine washable. I'm upgrading my look since I lost weight (yay) and I just want something easy and polished that I can wear with my penny loafers every day and not worry about it.

I'm thinking like 250$ max per dress.

Has anyone used their boarding services? I'm worried about leaving the precious baby

Requesting a new headshot after weightloss?

I've lost 25 lbs (yay) and hope to lose 10-15 more.

Is it reasonable to ask my big law firm for a new headshot when I finish losing? My face is noticeably thinner now but I don't know if that's enough weight loss to justify asking. (It's 15-20%) Or even what I would say?

Petition to start including heights in posts with weights

I feel like it would be much more informative if everyone also posted how tall they are, especially in before and afters

Why are the older sections so much fuzzier? With the whole sweater fuzz, or should I have taken care of the WIP better somehow?

The yarn is malabrigo seis cabos (100% merino). I'm wondering if this is normal or if I balled up and tangled the WIP too many times. I wasn't careful with it because I didn't think I needed to be, but adding the final ribbing has me concerned. I'd be bummed if I worked this hard on it to already have not taken care of it.

Extreme fatigue every morning after eating?

I wake up most mornings feeling awesome, after getting 7-9 hours of sleep. So awesome, I'm like "wow am I sick? Today is going to be a great day!"

Then, like clockwork, 2 hours ish later (usually right after my ratio protein yogurt breakfast) I get the "hit by the bus" feeling. It's hard for me to describe, sometimes it's more severe than others, e.g., sometimes I can't walk, sometimes I just feel shitty.

Has anyone else experienced this? I'm trying to figure out if it's breakfast? Is it food in general? Is it morning chores (lol)

Sun missed or Malar rash?

I was dx-ed with UCTD 3(?) years ago. I've felt like shit for a month and a half now and I'm afraid I'm progressing to lupus. I also might be paranoid

It's like one more week that I'm closer to my goals!

It's pretty crazy how slow and frustrating weight loss was before tirzepatide, but now every week is a celebration!

Also, I'm at the beginning of my journey so I haven't hit a plateau yet.
