These rusty chicken sculptures I added collision to

I’m new to splatting, thought it would be interesting to see if I could interact with Gaussian splats in some way.
Workflow: iPhone footage > ffmpeg > reality scan > Lichfeld studio > supersplat > unreal via nano gs > collision generated via splat-transform.

I’m not a game dev by any means, excuse the unco gameplay.

What has everyone found to be the best way to clean up their splats?

I'm new to splatting.

My current process is; 4k 30fps iphone footage > ffmpeg frame extraction > reality scan > Lichtfeld Studio.

I've got some splats of objects that I want to extract from their surrounding environments, what would be the best way to remove all of the surrounding environment and tidy up my main subject?

What caused the checkered pattern on this guitar.

I was in Japan earlier this year and fell in love with this guitar I found at an op shop, couldn’t bring it home unfortunately, had such a nice sound to it.

Anyways I love the subtly of the checkered pattern, my guess is years and years of stickers??

I wrote this during a very dark and confronting time of my life, two chords only as I just wanted to get it off my chest.

Lyrics:

"I didn’t mean to

But I let it happen anyway

A thousand times a thousand more

Reduced my love to what I thought it needed

To really last

You tell me every single day

I Don’t take it in, don’t ever change.

I fell in love with my imagination

But it’s never true

Wanting to be the person that you always

Want me to

My heart exploded on the day that you said you need a break

Because I realised then that more than you I needed a change

A fucking conversation 8 or 10 or 9 times a week

Convince myself I’m a good person but I leave you feeling weak

I never mean to, shouldn’t have to hear the words you pour right from your chest

I think I’m gold, I cast the crown right into your head

The night I figure myself out

I fear the scars are too deep.

I know you love me but I make you feel so fucking incomplete

It’s no surprise you pull away, but that hurts so much more.

If I were you I’d run away.

I’d run away"

AI is democratizing capability, it's removed the technical skill barriers thats used to keep most people stuck with only ideas. AI is getting exponentially better at allowing this.

AI is democratizing capability.

For most of history, ideas were cheap and execution was expensive. The barrier was never imagination. It was the years of technical skill standing between what you could picture and what you could actually build. Most people never crossed it. They stayed stuck with only ideas.

That barrier is disappearing.

You don't need to be a developer to build software anymore. You don't need to be a designer to design, or an engineer to make shit. You describe what you want and it gets made. The skill that used to take years is becoming something you can call on instantly.

And it's getting better at an exponentially absurd rate.

This means both bad things and good things of course.

NZ cops need to learn what crisis means.

Excuse my jumbled storytelling, I’m tired and want to get this off my chest so here.

My flat mate had just attempted and was refusing to go to the hospital or anywhere other than home. So we had to call 111, wasn’t an available ambulance at the moment so they sent the cops around to try take her.
6 of the most arrogant mother fuckers walk into our house, we expect them to help in some shape or form.
But no, they just keep asking her all these super fucking confronting, practically irrelevant questions, and getting unreasonably frustrated and butt hurt when she doesn’t want to talk to them.
The entire time, they’re super loud, not an ounce of social awareness or empathy.

Most of them come down stairs cause they “don’t want to have to deal with the abuse.”

One of them reads her prevention sheet which we all try to follow and starts going on about how she’s just an angry person, I told him that’s an awfully shallow thing to say about someone you don’t know.
Tried defending his point by rambling more about her being angry.
He also said (EDIT:As a joke) that “we should just tie her up and make her smoke some weed.”

Loudly and proudly said “r**arded like 20 times.”
All whilst two of them stayed up there asking the most bullshit questions I’ve ever heard, I had to tell them that whatever the fuck they were going on about was absolutely no use.

Constant unprofessionalism the entire time, I could go on, I’m not gonna bother reporting it cause I know nothing will happen.

EDIT: this whole ordeal obviously stressed her out 100000% more than it ever should have. Fuck 12.

It just baffles me how such idiots can become cops, empathy is way too overlooked of a skill.

About an hour later St. John’s came and they were awesome, as they always have been in my experiences, emts are always so lovely.

Good day tattoo, queen street. Auckland New Zealand. My first ever tattoo!

It’s of my hometown (Auckland) volcano Rangitoto, my dad designed this about 20 years ago when he got it himself.
Been planning on getting something for a long time but choosing the first one has been a difficult process, so i figured matching my dad would be easier. Which it was, couldn’t be happier, he also couldn’t be happier!

This was my first guitar i've ever owned, but I fell out of love with the colour, original on last slide.

This has been months in progress as I just haven’t had the time to put all my efforts into it.
It’s not perfect by any means but it’s mine and I’m very proud of the work I’ve done.

I stripped the poly finish off, that took so long, was a nightmare.
Sanded, stained, clear coat, sanded.
New brass saddles and locking tuners (hated the grey plastic original ones.

I’m leaning heavily toward towards a black pick guard but I’m undecided.
I’m also thinking about giving it a thin coat of paint, not sure what colour yet, so it would wear through and show the stain colour over the years.
