Anyone Tried these 5G pocket wifi or should I just buy an android phone?

Hi, I am planning to buy a 5G pocket wifi preferably with high battery capacity. I am traveling alot and I prefer pocket wifi that I can carry rather than plugged in. Though I am hopping for something I can use while its plugged in or charging also.

Has anyone tried these brands? How are the performance? How about battery life?

or do you think its just better to buy an android phone with high battery capacity and 5G?

What is your favorite iPadOS bug so far?

Here are my top 3 features (bugs)!

  1. First picture: the stoplight covering app buttons like search or back on certain apps. I didn’t know I needed this! For sure, I have this built-in focus mode. I am forced to study what’s on my screen now since I can’t search or go back! Thank you, Apple!

  2. Second picture: the letter Z randomly jumps somewhere else in the floating keyboard. What makes this feature great is you can click both the Caps lock and Z icon like for words like Zimbabwe (typed this country name with this bug, wow).

  3. Third picture: I love that when your reduced motion is on, your pop-up for background download in Safari when downloading something becomes very small, and the text even separates.

UPDATE: Additional photos and clarification regarding my Galaxy S24 incident

(Updated with additional clarification regarding the device condition and external impact questions.)

Original post: https://www.reddit.com/r/samsunggalaxy/s/7XtCv5QNom

I’m making a separate update post because Reddit would not let me attach additional photos to the original post.

Many people asked for more detailed pictures and additional information, so I wanted to share a few more things.

First of all, yes — the phone was a standard Galaxy S24 in Cobalt Violet color.

Some people mentioned that the original photos did not clearly show the condition of the device, so I’m uploading additional close-up photos along with part of my actual hospital treatment records.

Some people also suggested that the battery may have been damaged by a strong external impact before the incident.

To help reduce misunderstandings regarding possible external damage, I tried to photograph each side of the phone as closely and clearly as possible.

As for the image quality itself, I am not very knowledgeable about photography, and the temporary phone I am currently using is also a much older model.

While the phone was in my possession, the two strongest impacts I can personally remember happened only after the battery had already ignited — first when the device fell to the floor during the incident itself, and second when I carefully pushed/kicked it away from nearby objects while trying to separate it from the desk because I was afraid the fire or explosion could become larger.

Even then, I was honestly too frightened to move it aggressively or send it flying far away.

Of course, I cannot personally determine the exact technical cause of the incident, but I wanted to provide additional context regarding the condition of the device shown in the photos.

The phone was also used without a screen protector film attached.

Because of that, I personally believe that if there had been a severe enough impact beforehand to physically damage the battery, the front glass/display likely would not have remained in relatively intact condition.

The visible marks on the screen appear to have come from melted case material and the floor surface attaching to the device during the fire.

I also noticed comments saying that I’m only doing this for money or trying to get a large payout from Samsung.

To clarify, the things I actually requested from Samsung were very basic:

  1. Replacement with an equivalent phone due to the fire damage

  2. Best-effort recovery of photos and personal records from the damaged device

  3. Medical expenses related to this incident

  4. Restoration costs for the building/property damage

Nothing beyond that.

Because the phone calls were in Korean, international readers may not fully understand this part, but during one of the calls, I was asked what amount of compensation I wanted them to report internally.

Honestly, that made me uncomfortable because I do not believe personal memories and years of records can simply be replaced with money.

As for standard compensation itself, I already submitted the case to the Korea Consumer Agency, so I will simply follow the official process.

More than material compensation, what I genuinely wanted from Samsung was for someone directly responsible for product quality and safety to personally visit the scene and simply say:

“We will work harder to make sure something like this never happens again.”

I hope companies take situations like this seriously before someone suffers a much more serious injury or a larger accident occurs.

I simply hope for more honest communication and stronger quality control moving forward.

And honestly, thank you so much for all the support and kind messages.

I truly want to reply to everyone and express my appreciation properly, but I may not be able to respond to every single comment.

I hope you can understand, and please know that your words genuinely mean a lot to me right now.

My Galaxy S24 exploded in my hand during normal use (not charging)

This happened in South Korea on May 11, 2026.

My Galaxy S24 suddenly emitted smoke, extreme heat, and exploded in my hand while I was using it normally to search the internet.

Important details:

The phone was NOT charging

No drop damage

Never repaired or opened

Fire department responded

Signs consistent with lithium battery ignition were identified on site

I am currently receiving medical treatment for smoke inhalation symptoms and anxiety/insomnia after the incident

Samsung told me they would collect the device for internal investigation, but I have not received further explanation yet.

Photos, medical records, and incident evidence have been preserved.

For privacy and safety reasons, I would prefer to remain anonymous publicly.

If media outlets are interested, I am willing to provide additional photos and videos.

UPDATE1: 26.5.13

Thank you for all the concern, advice, and support.

This incident did actually happen, and many of my coworkers witnessed it as well. I also have video footage related to the incident, and I have already informed outlets such as BBC and CNN that I am willing to provide additional evidence if requested.

At the moment, I have not been contacted by any Korean media outlets.

I was actively using the phone in my hand for normal web searching when it suddenly began swelling very rapidly before exploding. Thankfully, the lower part of the phone split open during the incident, which likely reduced the severity of the injuries. I only suffered minor burn blisters instead of more serious physical harm.

(Additional Information) The device was purchased as an official unlocked Galaxy S24 through Samsung Partners in South Korea on June 11, 2024, and was received and activated on June 12, 2024. Since then, it had been used normally without any repairs, modifications, or internal opening.

I originally switched from Apple iPhones to Samsung years ago, and honestly, this experience — along with the response afterward — has changed the way I feel.

Please stay careful and safe with your devices as well.

I will continue updating this post if there are any major developments or investigation results.

UPDATE2: 26.05.13

I was just contacted by the director of a local Samsung service center. According to what I was told, employees from Samsung headquarters became aware of this Reddit post and instructed the local service center to respond. I am still recording and preserving all communication related to this incident, and if major media outlets request it, I am prepared to provide those records as well. I once again requested direct communication from the appropriate department at Samsung headquarters. To be clear, I have never demanded financial compensation during this process. What I truly want is for Samsung to recognize the seriousness of this incident and respond with transparency and sincerity. Experiencing something like this has honestly changed the way I think about battery fire situations and consumer safety. I hope companies learn to take these incidents seriously before they become larger public safety issues.

I’ve honestly realized how powerful Reddit can be.

Thank you everyone. The support and attention from people here have genuinely helped someone like me feel less alone while dealing with this situation.

If more people become aware of battery safety risks through this post, I think that alone would already mean a lot to me.

And seriously, for everyone reading this on their phones right now — please stay safe and pay attention to unusual heat or warning signs 😅

ipad battery replacement

I know that apple dont specifically replace the battery alone and would give you a refurbished device. I have an ipad air m3 11 inches but we do have authorized apple stores and service centers in my place (can be found directly from apple support app).

I called one of them and they said their quotation ranges from 600-750 USD (converted form my currency) for the service. That is absurd. I am currently considering a third party service repair for much cheaper price and im planning to use OEM battery from YKaiserin. The battery capacity of the new one is 8300 mah (compared to 7060 mah to the original one).

I dont know if I can pull off the battery replacement myself.

Ipad air battery replacement? Mobilecare or High Capacity?

I have an air 2025 11 inch model. I use it heavily and im thinking of battery replacement just in case.

Apple support app suggests mobilecare. Nagpapalit ba talaga sila ipad battery dun? Genuine part ba gamit? If so how much?

If going to OEM route I am thinking of high capacity battery nakakita ako ng 8827 mah (from 7060 mah original) and I am thinking of doing that since may kakilala naman akong technician who does my OEM apple device replacements. Had my previous iphone 11 battery replaced 3 times throughout 7 years

How do you deal with ipad air M3 terrible battery life?

I had my ipad air m3 11 inch model for less than a month now. Second hand but still at 96% battery life and under warranty.

My biggest issue is battery life. It can last a day with light usage like reading, watching videos with airpods, and taking notes. I can still observe however that it drains fast and would probably just get 6-7 hours max usage.

However with gaming with controller it can last maximum of 3 hours at half screen brightness and speakers.

If I am at home I just plug it in at 80 percent limit then with a magnetic cooler so I can game without it draining or damaging batteries. However, I literally bough an ipad so I can carry it and game on the go especially during waiting times.

I will honestly say I lowkey regret not getting the pro with m4 since it seems to have much higher battery life. But then this is my first ipad (not my first apple product I have iphone for a decade now and mac as home computer growing up) so i really didnt know that the M3 had terrible battery life.

I never knew being an adult is going to be very boring most of the time. I am in my mid 20s.

I moved to metro 2 years ago after studying abroad. I have found some friends around but most of them are busy on weekdays with their work and own hustle and we hang out naman on weekdays. I have a partner as well and weekend rin kami nagkikita along with our group of friends. My other friends are faraway and we mostly do facetime but of course since adult na people are busy with their own lives and we just call from time to time.

I have my work but its not too busy but it pays well (high 5 digits to minimum 6 digits depends on months plus I dont pay bills). I have alot of free time sometimes. I did pick up some hobbies. Reading, going to gym 4 times a week, journalling, gaming, painting. Most of the time I just stay at home. Workmates are nice naman I hang out or travel with them sometimes but theyre honestly not the type of people I become friends with.

I try to go out pero going out just feels useless if I dont have anyone and its just a repetitive of walking, sitting in cafe, observing people.

Gone were the days when I was studying I remember that I would attend classes, hangout with my classmates afterwards or bike around with friends. Then I would go home to the dorm with my dorm mates that I am friends with and just talk or drinking inside the dorm (lol).

I try to travel as much as I can without getting burned out from travelling but travels are also scheduled with my friends so its frequent unlike before when were in same dorm and can go take a train wherever we want.

Now may responsibilities na, you have career and life to build. Happy to see everyone thriving but damn I wish I can go back.

I was already in apple ecosystem. I like the pad 5 before hand but the pad 7 comes with so many bugs that it makes it harder to use and I actually spend more time finding way to make it work rather than using the tablet itself.

I say the ipad air is more powerful and lightweight. Havent even noticed the 144 hz rate in games i play in xiaomi pad 7 anyway.

Hello , I'm looking into a secondhand 11-inch M3 iPad Air (256GB) that has been used for about 9 months I found one for 477 USD and its still under warranty. Also found an apple pencil pro for 80 USD.

Before committing to a used device of this age, I'm curious to hear from those who have had theirs since launch: 1. How has your battery health held up over 9 months of regular use? 2. Are there any known issues with the screen or USB-C port developing wear over this timeframe? 3. How has the Apple Pencil Pro held up for you over the same period? Thanks in advance!
