Has anyone else noticed this and how telling it is?

Has anyone else noticed how infantilized the handmaids are? The title “aunt”, the example of Janine, it’s all clear evidence that they, for obvious reasons, did NOT want these girls (who yes, I know were largely teenagers) to psychologically grow up.

Please help me.

(Let’s say) I prove my OBEs are (at least in that instance) real. How do I know others are real if they lack similar confirmation details? Thank you for helping me with this post, I appreciate that!

Is (lowercase) national socialism a good idea for American leftists?

Peronism, the Burmese way to socialism, Stalinism, Baathism, Nasserism, the third international theory, Chavismo, Juche, Chiangism, Marheanism, Sankarism, Evoism, and in America, the new deal were all lowercase national socialisms. Could and should 21st century America (whose population would probably prefer such a thing to Marxism) be guided towards a new version of lowercase national socialism that I haven’t exactly perfected but would probably involve: automation, a left-wing version of Femonationalism, strict secularism, general social progressivism, either the third way or the third position depending on the degree of radicalism necessary for economic transformation, a non-interventionist foreign policy and just general loving of America (rather than hating the rest of the world) as a concept of patriotism, a patriotism whose love of our country would be shone by a practical revitalization of the country. I think Americans have been made very suspicious of clearly left-wing politics so this might be a much better approach getting the American people onboard with a radically left-wing policy program, and as I said, the rest of the world would no longer fall victim to American imperialism. This 21st century new deal would be just like the 20th century new deal in the sense that it would be a force carrying it ceaselessly towards socialistic progress, as the creator of the last new deal, Franklin Delano Roosevelt was the American Vladimir Lenin, Ronald Reagan was the American Boris Yeltsin, and Donald Trump is the American Vladimir Putin, so let’s reset the cycle my fellow American comrades, what do you think?

I’ve heard some practitioners believe this. If that means you, please identify yourself.

When asking about an attempt I had made to advance the theory of how astral projection works and relates to other phenomena, I heard on this subreddit that some practitioners believe that this is the world we project to, and vice versa. I believe this was the first I’d heard of such a notion, so if anyone here who believes this could identify themselves and tell me what led them to this conclusion, I would greatly appreciate the help, so thank you.

I need help finding a truly effective way to remember past lives.

I already know that regressive hypnosis doesn’t actually work, so I need something that does work. Now, I have a spiritual framework (which combines Wiccan, Gnostic, and astral beliefs, but anyway of doing this that doesn’t demand I sell my soul to the devil (if the devil even exists of course) would be welcome regardless of it’s framework of origin. Thank you for your help, I appreciate it greatly!

I’m back on this subreddit with an important, interesting, and profound question.

How do I prove that these are real (if in fact they are)? I am improving my AP timespan, potentially my self-hypnosis when in the states of consciousness conducive to these experiences, and I have a possible strategy for focusing on something other than sex. But I don’t really have a good plan for carrying out a foolproof plan for determining whether these experiences really are what they seem to be or not. Thank you for your help!

Does anyone else in this situation catch themselves unfortunately doing this?

I (nonbinary 20 year old assigned male but who wants to transition) try to use they/them pronouns with people I am safe with but we (myself included) generally forget (though we use my new name most of the time) and I may have even used he/him pronouns in my mind before though I’m not sure about that last part. I suppose we often don’t use pronouns when talking about ourselves but has anyone else done this before? Thank you for your responses, I always appreciate them greatly!

Am I wrong to assert this?

The only reason we have “just” war today is because of the history of war going back to the beginning, which was basically just because men got so lustful that they had run out of nearby objects to steal and rape. This theory of the origin of war as an institutionalization of masculine barbarism in the worst way imaginable is something I would LOVE to hear your opinions on comrade-sisters. Thank you, I appreciate your responses.

I often wish I was a cis-woman (and not just because I could have been one all my life) and I suspect I might unconsciously view myself as a cis-woman. Does anyone else here feel similarly?

What do you recommend for the future of this idea?

Slavoj Zizek said that everyone up to and including Bill Gates is a socialist now, and that he himself was therefor a communist and not a socialist. However, many if not all of the communist experiments of the past have been failures, and we need new systems to be compatible with clean renewable energy anyway, so what do you suggest eco-conscious 21st century communism should look like?

I’m not at all wrong to distrust or discount people who say things like “oh I support feminism, I just don’t support MODERN feminism”, ESPECIALLY if it’s a man, right?

Your thoughts on the work of Jay Haley.

I have been researching psychology for months now and very recently, I encountered the work of Psychotherapist Jay Haley, who has been considered both a bold trailblazer and a controversial conman. Haley would leave clients in the dark while issuing directives (that were often paradoxically encouraging of their symptoms on the surface) meant to help them achieve the goals he assigned. He only ever listened when deciding what he thought would work best for achieving the goals he picked out. The roots of the problems he tried to solve were irrelevant to him and because of this he believed that few sessions were required to achieve his desired results, and he believed that the therapist should possess all authority and responsibility during sessions and also opposed permissive parenting, telling parents to work with each other and not their children when it came to how they were raised and how the family was run in general. The idea of tricking a client into accepting that they had control of their symptoms by telling them to do it unnaturally, was influenced by people like Gregory Bateson and Milton Erickson, the latter of whom, in his own right, pioneered a new method of hypnosis that was innovative, indirect, and sometimes manipulative, an approach that would influence Haley in general. He also worked with his wife when developing these techniques (help educate me on if that breaks any rules). So, naturally, a person like this was subject to widespread criticism in the field of psychotherapy. His utilitarian response argued that his approach was solving problems other psychotherapists could not or would not solve. But what do all of you think? Would you defend him, condemn him, or offer some other kind of comment about this subject? I appreciate anyone who takes the time to read and comment on this Reddit post, so thank you!

A manifesto on matriarchal humanism: Goddess ideology

I believe that patriarchy must be abolished completely, from the roots, not just for the sake of women, but men as well. I believe that the solution to this problem is the merger of feminism with humanism so as to radically re-order society by elevating women (and nonbinary people) to their full potential in a matriarchal society. Here is a manifesto that goes into further detail about this:

ON THE TRUE NATURE OF THE CURRENT MALE PROBLEMS AND HOW THEY COULD BE SOLVED IN A MANNER THAT TURNS THEIR MORAL WEAKNESSES INTO MORAL STRENGTHS:

Men, albeit typically only unconsciously, understand that they are less intelligent, less moral, and less wise than women. Because of this, they become possessed by shame and anger and then, of course, they take these frustrations out on women (and children, which is of course the root of childhood trauma). Another way this effects children is men building their identity around being masculine (which should stop, and they will be taught to stop it and then not being feminine enough to raise children safely and competently or do other necessary tasks will cease to be problems). The way this frustration that men becomes active can happen in one of two main ways: the first is an unsuccessful career, which can be fixed by the implementation of a new politico-economic system that is structured to ensure people can prosper more easily, allowing for a “maternal politico-economic system” (which would make egalitarian use of automation as well as implement a green new deal of some kind). The second is men (because of men being raised by the patriarchy, both within their families and by the patriarchal media to do so) feeling entitled to sex, and when they don’t get it because they’re NOT entitled to it, they take it out on women. I would even argue that when men blame women for being violated, they are actually projecting their own unconscious awareness of THEIR mistakes onto their victims. I believe we can fix this by teaching men to sublimate their sexual desires for women into serving and respecting women as well as the new matriarchal system in general. With this new incentive added to the matriarchal system of governance, men would, if properly taught, love their servitude rather than hate it. Without men imposing shame and violence upon women (or children), they will enjoy a level of mental and spiritual peaceful health that will be utterly unprecedented in human history so far.

ON WHAT THE NEW MATRIARCHAL HUMANIST SOCIETY SHOULD LOOK LIKE AS A WHOLE:

In the new matriarchal humanist society, a new maxim would dictate the social hierarchy from individual families to the wider world as a whole: “MEN WORK AND WOMEN GOVERN, EACH DOING THE TASK THAT THEIR CHARACTERISTICS DETERMINE THEY ARE FIT TO DO”. In the home, women would hold absolute authority over whether to have children and in cases of domestic violence, it would be a felony to believe the husband over the wife. In terms of the wider world, men would generally be excluded from administrative and generally high-ranking roles, with those roles reserved for women and nonbinary people. Religion would, at least officially, be dominated by a secular agnostic goddess worship, including of great women of the past who embody matriarchal humanist values, perhaps with different groups having their own patronesses. Women would be taught in humanistic studies to prepare them for governance while men would be taught to handle the jobs not yet automated out of existence. Empires would break up and militaries would undergo MASSIVE downsizing. Assemblies handling governance would be as small as possible and integration of powers would be favored over their separation, as the problems that principle was meant to constrain would not really be present in the new matriarchal humanist system. Matriarchs who reach a mental state due to age that prevents them from competently doing their jobs would be required to step down and make way for younger women who would make more effective leaders.

HOW TO GO ABOUT ACHIEVING THIS WORLD:

First, get the word out (but be patient, with this step and the others). Second, prepare for a general strike/color revolution by stockpiling provisions and training fellow comrade-sisters after doing the necessary research ourselves. Third, while doing the previous two, win whatever elections you can so as to have friends in high places when the time comes. Fourth, implement the plan outlined in this paragraph so far. Fifth, re-educate men about how to behave in the new society we begin establishing in a manner that blends reconciliation with instruction for those who are well-meaning and can be re-educated and merciless punishment for those who cannot be. Raise children with the ideals explained above and raise awareness of the horrors of the by-then-old world and why they must NEVER EVER be repeated again. Now, comrade-sisters, we have a world to win! COMRADE-SISTERS OF THE WORLD UNITE SO YOUR DAUGHTERS NEED NOT LIVE IN A WORLD WITH THE HORRORS OF THE ONE THAT WE HAD TO GROW UP IN!!!🚺🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🚩

So, the “unwomen” are either trans—women or nonbinary people assigned female at birth and the “gender traitors” are either bisexual or gay, right? Thank you for the clarification, I appreciate it!

During a flashback scene, Aunt Lydia says (before she was actually an aunt of course) that there were multiple coups that took place, but I thought there was only one. Can someone help me understand this? Is it explained more clearly in the book? Thank you for all responses I may get, I appreciate them!
