Very happy to announce to all of you that the fan translation of Record of Lodoss War RPG (2018) has finally been completed! Fan translation was done by Gilgamesh108 and DTP'ing by me.

This project originally started in, I think, December 2022, but after several months of work, only two chapters (1 and 3) were completed, leading to a long hiatus and a request for help. That help never really came and thinking it would be a waste to never complete this, we picked the project up again in, I think, May this year, with the aim to finish it. The remaining chapters were not as daunting as chapters 1 and 3 (especially 3), but it still took us until now to finish the project.

Anyway, now that the project is finished we hope many people will find it, and will enjoy it. Please bear in mind any minor errors that this first version might have (we view it as a version 0.9 and we hope user feedback will get us to 1.0).

We're in the process of translating a TRPG (tabletop role-playing game) called Crystania RPG2. There is a line of text in there which confuses us:

>また、このような状況て鎧を着ることは不可能なので、装甲値は0点として振う。

Using machine translators, this basically says it is impossible to wear armour, so the points for your armour value are considered 0.

In the context of the text, however, this makes 0 sense. You're sneaking up on some goblins, why would you have no armour? If the sneak-up is succesful I understand the goblins' armour is considered 0, but why the player?

Is the machine translation incorrect?

Many months ago Gilgamesh108 and I started working on Record of Lodoss War RPG, the latest TRPG book which you can use to play the Lodoss tabletop role-playing game (TRPG or TTRPG). As some were aware we've been working in this, a little update:

• The translation has been completed;
• All of the translation has been put in PDF-format completely;
• A separate, printable, cover has already been finished (as seen in image).

What is left is one final, thorough proofread, which is what we're doing now. I suspect this may take another month or so. Once done, we will announce the final product here, on X and on the Lodoss and Sword World discords!

Gilgamesh108 recently completed another fan translation, which is Legend of Lodoss RPG Replay 2: Summoning of the Demons, a replay of a TTRPG session set during the time of the Demon War (which made Beld, Fahn, etc famous). About a month ago we published part 1 already, which followed Milleus and his gang. Though this is a direct sequel, it follows a whole new party, consisting of Mage Knight Lucent, elf Winifred, and others.

The TRPG was played using the Record of Lodoss War RPG system, as presented in Record of Lodoss War Companion (of which the first volume has been fan translated, and all three volumes have been summarised here).

This is a translation of Crystania RPG, was which released as a supplement to Comptiq magazine, published in 1990. It is part 1 of 2 parts in total (with Crystania RPG2 released in 1991).

The game uses d100 dice and features a character system based on Classes, such as warriors and sorcerers, commonly seen in fantasy RPGs, but with the addition of a unique class called Animalmasters. With this class, players can use Animalmaster-specific abilities, called Talents (タレント).

This is a compilation of the rules used in the Crystania replays, which were also serialises in Comptiq, as sort of a successor to the Lodoss replays. The rules themselves are similar to those of Record of Lodoss War Companion (part 1 translated a while ago).
