Can Flock cameras be used to find where Mitch McConnell is allegedly still alive and hiding?

He hasn't been seen, but surely the vehicles used to transport him could be tracked to determine where he is. Then the Governor can go, accompanied by the Press, to pay him a wellness visit.

Backpacking with Chairs

I just got back from my first trip with one of the actual backpacking chairs and I will say I will never not take it again.

The trip before I had one of the ultralite stools and that was great but decided I liked it so much I wanted to try the chair even though it was an extra 1-2 lbs and it was the best 2lbs I have ever carried!

Scenic View Popup

I’ve had these incorrect “scenic view” or whatever before but today I was on a local greenway when I was notified of a peak up ahead. For the record this peak is over 100 miles away and 5000 feet up!

How to bring chicken on the trail?

Hey guys. I was wondering if any of you have suggestions for the best way to bring chicken for 5+ day backpacking trips (or other meats for that matter) that doesn’t require buying $12 meals. A few people have told me to buy an industrial dehydrator, but I was seeing if there’s any other way/bulk options.

Looking to change from Oboz

I'm in need of a new pair of boots. I've been through 3 pairs of Oboz, replacing them about every 800 miles or so. I'm at the end of the latest pair and may just get another one, but, I'm wondering if other Oboz wearers have found other boots they like better. About me - I'm in my 60s, I've been hiking since my teens, I hike about 500 miles per year in the southeast US. What I like about Oboz is the comfort and feel, plus some peace of mind knowing that's what I've worn. What I don't like is that the soles could be more grippy and a little stiffer. The softness of the sole is a mixed bag, at times it feels like I'm walking slippers, but a rocky trail can be uncomfortable. I need a big toe box, my feet are fairly wide. Oboz, when they get wet, can dry up and tighten up. I'm definitely a boots guy, not looking at trail runners.

Any suggestions to look at?

McDowell currently on POTUS on Sirius XM

Can't talk locally but will make a radio appearance. He's prattling on about how great the GOP is and the economy is but we have to destroy Iran because he dreamed that they would nuke us so it's worth paying more for stuff now. He was just going on about how great Whatley is.

The Dreaded PIN Code

This happened to me a while ago but just popped up again. I was driving home on the weekend and it comes up - just as I'm reaching a turn. So I've got a window blocking everything asking me to enter my code while driving. I tried, got to wrong, it told me I had 3 tries so cancelled out of it. It didn't prompt me again. So happened again yesterday, I entered another guess at my code and it locked me out. So now while driving it asks me to enter my email! I cleared the screen and was out today when I got the email prompt. I got to a light and was able to type it in. Then it asks me for my password - because everyone remembers their Toyota password if I even have one.

I'm going to have to figure out how to reset the whole damn thing.

Whoever invented this "feature" should be fired.

Pitched my tent (X-Dome 1+), on some hard grass, but no rocks or anything. Bottom has some of these spots now. Never seen it, even when pitching on rockt surfaces. Thoughts? Thanks.

Questions about inflatable tents for winter camping

I have never seen these inflatable tents until this last year. I’ve done a good deal of winter camping in ice houses and camping on the ice.

I have a few questions about these inflatable tents and the wood burning furnaces -

What is the benefit of an inflatable tent? Or is it for glamping?

How do the sections that vent the wood burning pipes not melt?

Benefit of wood burning vs my standard Mr Buddy propane heater that I use? PSA: I use and have proper ventilation when I use my propane heater and it’s always worked just fine. I do like the idea of the wood burning option so I’d like others feedback for those winter camping options.

Any way to reduce sweating?

I went on a hike today and despite it not being particularly long (4.5 miles) or hot (about 65° and partly cloudy with plenty of tree coverage), I ended up, as always, with my back soaked with sweat.

My shirt was a Lululemon Fundamental tee and my backpack was an Osprey Talon 22 (latest model). I know some back sweat is inevitable but is there anything I can do so it’s just less…gross? The shirts dry quickly but not quickly enough!

Tiny balls you throw in a fire and they flash.

Many many years ago when I was a Boy Scout we went on a camp out and one of our leaders brought a bag on these tiny gray balls about the size of a pencil eraser.

He called them stars. And you would throw them into the fire every now and then and they would make a quick flash and it was just neat thing to do.

I can’t find them anywhere and was curious if anyone else has ever heard of them?

How to make Camping more enjoyable for my Wife

Hi Guys,

I wanted to see if anyone here had some good ideas for me. I go camping a couple times a year and one of those times is with my wife and a large group of friends (about 15). She is not a camper at all but comes along so we can spend the weekend together still. The other trips, she stays back. I realize I am never going to make her love it, but was hoping for maybe some tricks or camping items that could improve her time.

Couple details worth mentioning:

-Tent camping (no site movement but not in a vehicle)

-We're ~30 years old no kids

-She does not drink alcohol

-Her main issues seems to be the temperature and the sleeping comfort (I've bought a heavy duty fan that she seemed to love)

Thanks!

Undun by The Guess Who

I love that song! It was a favorite of mine in the 70s. If you listen to the lyrics you have to wonder if they're talking about Tanya, Irina or even the Colonel?

Searching my Activities on Desktop

I thought this was available until recently. I was looking for a route I did a year or two ago and usually I'd search my activities. There doesn't seem to be any way to search my activities anymore. Has it been moved or just removed?
