Strikers port wip

Hi guys, i saw a port of strikers, so i wanna show my status . I’m working on strikers since it went out. Actually there is no frameskip in my build because i’m trying to reach 60fps before releasing it. but if you want i can release this build that goes 25-30fps in game…

I don’t have a devkit optimizing it requieres so much time.

If you wanna follow the project on my github there is the repo https://github.com/robin994/strikersVita

the game is powered by a porting i'm mading of Aurora https://github.com/robin994/aurora-vita , actually it renders perfectly in native vita gxm. But it is still expensive in some calls. I'm trying to port wiicompiled too, it renders perfectly but it still too heavy and there is nothing to show yet.

for who would like to support the project there is a dev bounty on https://zealouschuck.com/dev-bounty
(the amount will be used only to buy a devkit and make better ports )

[stable] battleship-vita release

Just dropped a first stable version of battleship-vita. Let me know if you face problems.

In this version there are a lot of optimizations to restore vanilla version. 60fps seems to be stable ( i use psvita with overclock at 500mhz) , there are just some slutter in loading screen

What's next?
- working on porting smash-remix mods to battleship-vita (all characters work in this version, but they are unstable that's why i haven't released them yet)

- working on adhoc multiplayer and online multiplayer

Billy — Home Assistant Bill Tracker

Hello there! I've been working on an integration named Billy, that lets you track your household bills within Home Assistant.

Bills can be added with date/month/year, marked as paid/unpaid, have their own frequency – monthly, bimonthly, yearly etc., have a full history with charts and forecasting.

Also can split the bill between multiple people, calculate everyone's shares and even open the link to PayPal with the right amount.

Billy is installed via HACS as a custom integration.

In development still, so any kind of feedback is highly appreciated :)

Only 2 languages are supported yet – English and Italian.

NeoVItaDB - Catalog update news

Hi everyone,

I wanna do this post as we reached a new milestone with NeoVitaDB project.

one of the most asked thing is where are old vitaDB entries or it showeds 1000+ entries and now it has 500+ , or psp catalog had 100+ now only 2.

Well I'm happy to announce that i've been able to recover most of them and publish into the prod catalog,

  • From the historical VitaDB catalog: 523 Vita entries + 59 PSP entries
  • From Internet Archive (psp-homebrew-library): 2068 PSP entries

Sources used:

  • Historical VitaDB Repository: DrDecki/VitaDBtoo-db (github.com/DrDecki/VitaDBtoo-db)
  • Internet Archive . "psp-homebrew-library"

Credits

  • DrDecki — for creating and maintaining VitaDBtoo-db, the archive that made it possible to recover the original VitaDB catalog with all its metadata and packages after the backend shut down.
  • The curator of the "PlayStation Portable Library: Homebrews" collection on Internet Archive, for the preservation work on the PSP homebrew scene.
  • Rinnegatamante — creator of the original VitaDB project and of VitaDB-Downloader, from which NeoVitaDB Downloader is forked.
  • All the individual homebrew developers whose work makes up these entries — credit for each individual project remains with its respective author, listed in the "author" field of each catalog entry.

Notes

The new entries were validated against the catalog schema, checked for duplicate title IDs and formatting issues, and the trusted_authors.json allowlist was seeded with their authors (initially all unmarked/untrusted, pending manual review on a case-by-case basis where appropriate).

preview of the catalog can be seen here : https://robin994.github.io/NeoVitaDB-Catalog/

Trusted-authors system update

Alongside this recovery, the "trusted" flag mechanism was reworked:

  • Before: an entry was marked trusted based on its GitHub repository's star count (more than 50 stars). This meant popularity, not the identity of the author, decided whether the client would show an entry as trusted.
  • Now: trust is based on an explicit, opt-in allowlist (trusted_authors.json) of GitHub usernames the maintainer has personally vetted. An entry is trusted only if its author is on that list.
  • There is a whitelist of thrusted authors built based on the history of the scene. Most famous developers are there.

WARNING if you are running in problems running old client version that's normal they weren't ready to new catalog version. PLS udate manually to 2.9.0

NeoVitaDB announcment

Hello everybody,

i'm robin994 , the dev behind neovitadb project

firstly i wanna thank you all to use my homebrew, i didn't expect all this, it started just as a fun project to do to drink beer and test new technologies.

But things are getting serious and we must have a serious talk and transparent about the project, please read the whole post before to comment.

Backendless solution seems to be working, we are having pull requests from devs, others are fixing existings entries, other users help adding content, even making a webpage, and i'm so thankfull of that. But this is just the good side of the community, but we must talk about the evil side, people who want to see the world burn.

The problem:
Yesterday i had a good chat with an user (f2pwn) of henkaku's discord, we talked about the cybersecurity of the project. And he told me about how a total community-driven catalog was unsecure.
There could be someone pushing a malware and kill your vita, and we don't want that to happen.

just to be clear actually there is no malware into the catalog, but there could be if we don't examinate future entries

The solution:
There will be 2 catalogs, the official one and a test one.
Devs can open PR to the test one before it gets tested and then merged on the Official one.

test catalog is already aviable on github at robin994/NeoVitaDB-Catalog-Test

Second thing, i'm creating a discord server for everyone who wants to partecipate to this project of creating a community-driven hb store, i need help testing new entries, who wants to be a moderator? tester? artist? invent new feature? write code? just join the discord server we can talk there.

link invitation for discord's community: https://discord.gg/tHBMYFyHZY

In next days I'll be busy with personal life, but meanwhile feel free to join discord server, when i'm free again i'll do a post there explaining my idea better, and i'd appreciate feedbacks too, don't be shy.

Thank you for reading the whole post, see you soon

NeoVitaDB Catalog - A community-driven homebrew catalog for PS Vita

With the recent events affecting the PS Vita homebrew scene, many people have been wondering what comes next for preserving and discovering new homebrew projects.

First of all, huge respect to everyone who contributed to VitaDB over the years. It became one of the most important resources for the Vita community, giving developers a place to share their work and users an easy way to discover new applications, games, ports and plugins.

Because of that, I started working on NeoVitaDB Catalog:

https://github.com/robin994/NeoVitaDB-Catalog

The initial data currently comes from my own VitaDB dump, which I recovered and imported as a starting point. This is not meant to be a frozen archive — it is meant to become a living, community-maintained catalog.

The goal is simple:

  • Create an open and community-driven homebrew catalog
  • Allow developers to freely submit their own projects
  • No artificial barriers between "important" and "small" homebrews
  • Give every developer the same opportunity to share their work
  • Preserve Vita homebrew for the future

A homebrew scene survives because people contribute, not because a few individuals carry everything alone.

If you are a Vita developer, port creator, plugin developer, or someone maintaining an old project, you will be welcome to add your homebrew.

I don't want this to be "my" database. I want it to become a place owned by the community.

At the moment everything is still early, so feedback, suggestions and contributions are very welcome.

Let's keep the Vita alive together.

Anyone attending San Diego Comic-Con? Let's peacefully show PlayStation that physical games still matter.

With all the recent discussion about PlayStation's long-term shift away from physical media, some of us are planning a peaceful fan gathering outside the PlayStation, Marvel's Wolverine, and God of War booths at San Diego Comic-Con.

This isn't about harassing developers, booth staff, or other fans. They don't make these decisions, and they deserve nothing but respect.

The goal is simple: let PlayStation know that many of us still value physical games and want consumer choice to remain part of the future.

If you're attending SDCC and agree, consider stopping by for a while.

Bring a simple sign if you'd like, talk to other fans, take photos, and help spread the message online. Keep everything respectful and follow Comic-Con rules.

Whether you prefer physical, digital, or a mix of both isn't really the point. The point is having the freedom to choose.

If enough fans show up peacefully, it sends a clear message that this issue matters to the community.

If you're interested in joining, leave a comment below. Let's organize a time and make sure this stays positive, respectful, and impossible to ignore.

Caselli autostrade Napoli-Salerno
