WIP: I chiseled a boombox from a block of (aerated) concrete.

WIP. My first attempt of making a boom box sculpture.

It's white aerated concrete that I gave a coat of black spray paint. So all the lines I chisel become white again.

It's a bit crude, but I like how it looks like a 3 dimensional

sketch.I expected the material to be more "detail friendly" but it breaks away quite easily.

Let me know what you think .. and what boomboxes would deserve to be turned into stone sculptures? Any iconic favourites?

TIL ... there's a 3 point angle dimension in Fusion. Is anyone using this in their workflow? What can this be useful for?

Today I learned that there's a 3 point angle dimension in Fusion 360. I stumbled upon it by accident. Is this common knowledge or is this also news to you?
If you've know that feature, what are you using it for?
If it's new to you, too, what could you imagine this being useful for?
I already put these two points on a circle to illustrate it better than just some floating points. So it could eliminate some construction lines I would otherwise use to dimension this.
Thought I'd share this new found knowledge.

PS: At first I thought they had finally implemented and arc length dimension feature (like in SW). I'm still missing that one some times.

Seen in a London cafe in 2016

Came across this photo from 2016. Saw this as decoration in a cafe in London. Made me smile so hard 😁
(The photo is turned 90 degrees. The albums are on a high shelf)

I designed a retro BMX/MTB bike light - interest in full tutorial?

Would there be interest in a full tutorial?

Or is this too basic?

Remember bike lights on BMXs and MTBs? They don't make em anymore , so I brought them back with 3d printing

Remember bike lights on BMXs and MTBs in the 80s and 90s? They don't make them anymore, but I wanted two for my muli cargo bike ... So I took apart an Union UN-4258 bike light and gave it a new housing.

πŸ› οΈπŸš² I turned my muli into a safari Jeep to scare off cars 😜

The idea was to have some extra space for bags when the main "cargo bay" is full with kid and stuff. Also I think bikes should become more visible. Lights shouldnt get smaller, but give the bike a recognizable look in a car's rearview mirror.

This is just a proof of concept prototype so far. But let me know if that would be something you would be interested in and how you could imagine using this. And what you would change maybe. I would love to find a manufacturer for this. And the more feedback I have the more leverage there is to bring such a thing to market.

Happy cycling πŸš²πŸ‘

My son and me discovered that certain cable ties will fit through the leg and into the foot of LEGO minifigs. So you can cover your ceiling in spacewalking astronauts.πŸš€πŸ§‘β€πŸš€ Could also be used to make it look like a minifig is jumping over something since the cable ties are so flexible. Also the cable tie kind of looks like a "motion line" from a cartoon. They don't snapp in, but they fit well enough. Use this knowledge whisely 😜. Looking forward to seeing other usecases.
