What do I do with all the plant matter over in prep for fall/winter

I have 4 garden boxes, 2 full of corn, 1 full of strawberry plants, and 1 full of huge lettuce and weeds. I also have weeds in the mulch around my house as I neglected it this year. What do I do with all of this plant matter? It surely wont all decay by spring, is it best to chop it up and let some decay, just take it out, leave it alone for now, something else? I basically want a fresh start for next year

How does your daily schedule look? Mine feels boring yet I run out of time

This is my daily schedule, and I feel like I have no time for real hobbies

8am-9 wake up get ready for work

9-10drive to work

10-6 work (usually leave between 615-630but we will say 6 here)

6-645 drive to gym

645-730 exercise

745-830ish shower and household chores

830ish, make and eat dinner

9-11/1130 watch TV/game/have relaxing time

Go to bed

Like I have TWO hours for free time and im exhausted by then. I dont go to the gym every single day but try to go 3 or 4 times a week.

I don't understand how I am supposed to have a 'real' hobby that requires a 3rd space. Let alone do things like work and go to college, have kids, etc.

Need ideas on elevating a backyard reception!

We are having just a reception in our suburban backyard and need ideas on my to make it ~fancy~ . Im really petitioning for a new fence (a 6ft privacy instead of 4ft chain link) and a lawn service to make sure our grass is nice. Possibly hiring landscape design to help plant/ give advice on flowers to plant since i am awful with that. Plan on having a tent for dinner tables, Possibly a hard dance floor put down but we are not big on dancing and not having a dj, so depending on cost that will likely be the first to go.

What things make a backyard reception nice? And feel like an actual wedding and not a 4th of july party

Talk me into or out of going into nursing

Backkground: I am 26, I have worked as a CNA and EMT for about 4 year collectively. Live in MN, I am in CC right now, was doing pre-reqs for dental hygiene but decided against doing that. I also considered doing sonography, but the physics and high rate of wrist injuries frankly scared me away. But I have many science prerequisites done currently, and will have an AA in liberal arts or AS in health sciences this spring depending on what I decide. Currently, I work as a massage therapist

I have previously shyed away from becoming a nurse because I have seen what my nurses would do/put up with and I did not want to do that, but I worked only in inpatient psych and ER, so there was some crazy shit.

Short pros and cons list based off of my thoughts

Pro:

- stability, decent pay, lots of diversity in jobs, opportunity for growth, I enjoy science, biology and teaching

Cons:

- having to work bedside, 12 hours, weekend, holidays, on call. I dont want to be exclusively bedside forever, but I am sure the "good" nursing jobs are highly competitive.

Not being able to work while in school. I have a mortgage to pay. Yada yada. Also, people are crazy, and hospitals are greedy and work every dime out of staff

Struggling to find a good routine

Im 26F, about 140lbs, trying to lose 10-15 lbs and gain muscle, and improve cardio fitness. Im struggling to find a good workout routine. Currently, my struggles are

-knowing what days I am able to exercise. I work sunday-wednesday but if I can go to the gym after work depends on if my partner is home before me, otherwise I need to go home for the pets

-when I was consistently in going, I would do it for 1-2 weeks and get sick, that has happened a couple times now, I dont know why I keep getting sick when exercising more often

-balancing lifting weights without getting too sore so I am able to work, I do massage and if i am too sore I cannot perform as well at work

How often is best to go to balance these things and get results? Is short, more frequent sessions or longer, less frequent ones better? And should I try do do both strength and cardio everytime or just focus on one?

I dream about working on my own, but don't know if it is feasible right now

I work at Massage Envy and I actually like it, but everyone says working on your own is better, you make more money etc. Here is a short pro and cons list about my biggest concerns

Pros- having my own space, making more money per hands on hour, working closer to home, Pride in owning a buisness

Cons- marketing/client building, unpaid bts work, having to work weekends, creeps, not having any type of pto/sick leave/ getting healthcare from the marketplace

I see some massage businesses in my area struggling, always posting discounts, giveaway sessions, etc. If an already existing business is struggling, why wouldnt I? I dont have good people skills/marketing. Im introverted and love the fact that right now I just show up and leave work, always fully booked, and never having to market myself.

Im not really in a financial position to take a risk and possibly lose money right now, but will I ever be? Probably not, who in this world can afford to lose money?

I would love to know what the behind the scenes looks like in owning a business, I know getting established it the hardest part, but once you are set up, how much time a week do you spend on bts stuff?

Outdoor weddings, what is your backup plan?

Not getting married until 2028, but my idea currently is a 15 guest outdoor ceremony at a conservatory, and a 60ish person back yard reception. Thing is I have no idea what a back up plan would be. I plan to rent tents for the back yard so if its just a little drizzle it'll be ok, but if it is actually stormy I would probably just call it off and have only close friends come over and hang out. But for ceremony 🤷🏻‍♀️. The conservatory does have indoor areas we can do late in the evening, like 7pm, but I dont think it would be possible to last minute switch locations.

I would love to hear other peoples backup plans!

How to work on clients with no give in their muscle

Usually it is older men, their back is just a block and I can hardly parse out the different muscles, its all just hard and stuck. I cant seem to make any progress during the session, or even over time for those who come back, maybe minimally but not anything I would get with other clients. How do you work on tissue like this? I am fairly new but not THAT new, but clients like this leave me totally stumped

(10k) Feels impossible to have a wedding under 10k

I'm just starting the planning process and I feel broke without having spent anything yet. Every major thing seems like a minimum of 2k like venue, photos, food, dj. So 8k right there, not including clothes, hair, hotels, etc. Im finding that venues are offering or forcing too much and charging for things i dont care about. I need tables, chairs, a roof or very nice tent and thats it. Yet the cheapest one I have found so far is 2k, but obviously you can only have their very expensive food and drink. Where do I look instead?? I feel like I am doing something wrong and falling into the trap the wedding industry has setup

How do you even out strength imbalance?

My right side is noticeably stronger than my left, arm and leg. How do I balance it out? I try to exercise 4 days a week for 30 minutes after work and an hour session once a week. I am left-handed if that matters at all

DAE have issues using specific toilet papers?

I have dealt with frequent uti type of across my life, only in the last few years did I realize I just cant handle certain toilet papers, usually the super cheap stuff. Not sure what it is, but the stuff at work or buying off brand ones for at home will cause pain. Not on the outside from sandpaper tp, but the burning sensation like a uti. Anyone else deal with this? Or am I crazy?

Tell me about your buisness!

It is my dream to open my own buisness, and my second dream to get it to a place where I rarely massage and just manage the company, but obviously I will be starting on my own. So I would like to know what its like from people, mostly like logistics- things like

Monthly expenses, startup costs, if you are in high medium or low cost of living area, how many hands on hours you work, what you charge for 60 or 90, how booked you get, if you work with anyone else, ways you bring in clients, how long it took to become successful. Etc.

Or how your life looks, do you take much time off? Do you work every weekend? Do you stress about work or finances? Are you the breadwinner of your family?

First time homeowner needing advice!

I am a first time homeowner in MN and dont know anything about how to keep it looking nice. This is our second summer here, but we did not do much of any landscaping last year and I need advice on a few things, mostly proper pruning!

#1 lawn - has dark green spots and dying in others. In my mind it could be 3 things, 1, last summer the lawn got mowed in a way where there were spots left longer and those spots are healthier and greener. 2, where my dogs use the bathroom, but it doesn't seem to coincide with that much, or 3, related to sprinklers not coming up all the way and evenly watering the grass.

#2, bush is also dying in this one spot, it normally looks worse. I need advice of how to help it and how to prune it properly

#3 leafy bush is way too big, I want to cut it down to a better size so it does not encroach into the walkway or other plants, but if i just cut it down it will be almost all sticks

#4 not even sure what plant 4 is, but I also want to make it more shapely and not sure the best way to do that, it seems like I would be able to just cut from the ends but I dont know anything

#5 when is the best time and method for cutting flowers off of a bush for more blooms next year? Im sure its too late this year since all the flowers and well dead, but would love advice for next year!

Need help deciding what to plant!

I have this mulched area in front of my house that I want some flowers in, but have no idea what to plant! I was thinking something taller in the back near the bush and short in the front. I also think I am going to put a bird bath in! Any suggestions on what I should grow? Looking for perennials only as I dont want to be doing this every year.

Edit: this is full sun area. The back corner has some shade from the house but there is also a hose faucet there so I plan the leave the very corner empty so we can access that

Has anyone had an elective hysterectomy?

This is my dream tbh. To be period and child free forever. I already have to fallopian tubes removed, I wish I had asked if it is possible to remove the whole uterus. While on BC I didnt really have a period, but I have it again and wow its awful.

Has anyone had this? Is it even possible? Is it possible under the idea of gender dysphoria instead of BC? (which I feel if maybe why I hate my period so muc)?

A space movie with murder

Obviously spoiler, but for what movie?? What I remember is two man are in space on a long mission. They have these beds where they can link their minds (?) Or somehow visit earth and their family, through this pod, without ever leaving space. Man #1 i believe has his house broken into or is kidnapped, and his family and his earth body are murdered, and he is now stuck in space with no family and no outlets. He starts using the body/ bed of man #2 so he can have some sort of outlet. Eventually I think he ends up getting too close to man #2 wife, and abuses his access to the other man's pod. He ends up murdering the family of man #2.

What movie is this?? I watched it in the last few years on a streaming service, but I cant remember any actors, character names, or where I watched the movie. It randomly spawned in my memory at work and I cant stop thinking of it

In regards to getting presale tickets...

We all know that while getting tickets at presale they just vanish before you can actually look at seats, compare prices, etc. What is the best strategy to get a decent seat and not pay 500+? My budget is like $300 for 2 tickets, which will probably be higher up in the venue i understand. Do you just grab the first ones you can and go? I would hate to miss out on a tickets because I am too slow to pick. I am not familiar with the Ohio stadium at all as I have never been there. Could use any advice thank you 🙏
