I have been otherhearted for quite a while now, going onto three years later this year! my hearttype is the north american beaver. always has been!
I do not identify as a beaver, just with them. and I do not seek to identify as one, because I feel like that would not correctly label me as who I am.
recently, I had a very rough time in my life, and found myself circling back to the thought of how I hate being human, and wish I could just be an animal roaming free in the woods instead. and every time I thought this, the image of a calm pond and rushing waterfall and beautiful forest always came to my mind, and it was somewhat calming. every time I would think about things like that, I noticed it always went to the habitat of a beaver!
so.. I'm unsure if this was a special type of shift..? maybe? I have not experienced a shift before.. as far as I'm aware
but I don't remember too much about the moment, my memories on it are pretty fuzzy. but I also remember scratching at the walls because I felt trapped (?)
I just remember scratching . . not exactly what I was thinking at the time. but I did also experience phantom tail when all of this went down.. but then again, that's just a normal thing for me. I experience phantom tail all of the time!
I've also recently had a sudden rise in making a noise similar to teeth chattering, it's a vocal stim for me. i also love to make the sounds that beavers do!

it kinda sucks when I'm in the middle of reading someone's profile and then there's this sudden huge effect covering everything? I'm fine with the ones that are just a border around the profile, but the whole animated ones are just a bit much for me. it also can easily startle me, especially if it's nighttime and it's a bright effect (like this one)
also, mind you, it takes like 5-10 seconds before the bio is readable again. I understand that this is not exactly that much time but still, I could've been done doing what I came to the profile for a while ago
if anyone knows how to toggle them off or something like that, feel free to let me know!
