Can ya'll recommend some good melodic DHH songs I can cover?

I make covers for fun when I'm not tryna make original music. I'm not as big an avid listener of desi hip hop as some of ya'll are I guess. I need recommendations on some good dhh songs I can make cool covers of.

SAMMIE SINGH - BEAMER

I signed with Acapella records in 2024. This is the label that was managing Guru Randhawa and had artists like Panther and Spectra on the roster. Met the latter two at a photoshoot they organised as well. But anyway, the A&R guy sold me this dream and told me they'll invest in my music, help with the promotion and facilitate collaborations.

We started working on my first song with them called 'Crore'. It's a pop song so I'm not gonna plug it here. Video done, release date set, song comes out, they don't do anything. No promotion, nothing.

Then came this song that I wanna discuss here. 'Beamer'. Apparently the label owner signed me just because he had heard the rough version of this song. So he'd been waiting for the time when this one would come out.

It was originally recorded on a youtube beat, so I reproduced it with my friend. The vocals used in it are the same demo vocals which had background noise as well but I was out of that zone in which I was when I made the song. So re-recording the vocals just didn't feel worth it.

Fast forward, track is done, they like it. I told them I need some control over the video and they said it's cool. But when we started filming, they did everything on their own and didn't let me interfere. I never got to properly see the shots they took so I didn't know where I was looking bad and had to improvise.

Next thing you know, editing is done. I saw the final product and while the vfx and everything is good, I'm not looking as good in it. I swallowed that pill as well, hoping when the song comes out, the promotion will help push it.

The song comes out and there is no promotion again. Now make no mistake, I'm practically a nobody in the scene. I can't just put a song out and expect people to find me. The whole reason I signed with them is because they were gonna promote my work. Nothing like that happened and later they let me go (which I'm very happy about) saying my music didn't blow up.

I'd appreciate if some of ya'll could give this a try and if you like it, pass it on to others.
