Y'all eaten at "British food" restaurants in the US specifically, but anywhere else?

Was it good? Passable? I'm in Arizona and we had Pete's Fish and Chips here for a while and it was ok, I guess..

Medical professionals from Reddit, what did you learn while in medical training that has now been disproven?

I went to nursing school in the early 90s. We learned that normal urine is sterile. That has since been disproven.

What simple subject matter do you come across on Reddit so often that you've almost become an "expert" about it?

Trees. Everyone on Reddit has a question about trees. How to trim them. Who owns them. Can I cut down my neighbors dead tree. Who is responsible to clean up after a messy tree.

Trees trees trees. I had no idea they were such a divisive subject!

So l why isn't Taylor Swift ever included in the lists of "evil" billionaires?

She's a billionaire who flies in her private jet shockingly often. Yet when billionaires are being cursed for their existence, she's never mentioned. Why is that?

Calling all logophiles! We need a word that describes the occurrence of autocorrect not recognizing a word that's not often used.

As a lover of words I've often had problems with autocorrect not detecting a misspelling of a word that isn't used often or not recognizing the word as a word at all, often suggesting an alternative spelling that changes the word altogether.

Have you experienced this?

Can you give an example?

How would one go about creating a new word for this and what could that word be?

Apricity. Gboard didn't recognize this word and tried suggesting inappropriate alternatives. When I intentionally misspelled it, Gboard didn't recognize it as misspelled. No red underlines

"regretfully sorry" ??

Below is an excerpt of an article pronouncing the plea and sentence of one of the people who supplied drugs to Matthew Perry. A quote from Erik Fleming follows the opening paragraph.

He says he's "regretfully sorry". That word choice, word combination, phrase (?) doesn't sit right with me. Wouldn't that mean that he regrets being sorry?

Erik Fleming, a licensed drug addiction counselor, admitted in a plea agreement to working with another dealer to provide Matthew Perry with dozens of vials of ketamine, including the dose that killed him.

"I am regretfully sorry for the pain and anguish I have caused the family. It’s what hurts me the most," Fleming told reporters upon leaving the courthouse.

When I'm cooking I use a plastic grocery bag in my sink as a trash bag and take that out to the trash everyday instead of just putting it all in the kitchen bin. I prefer to take the trash out every day.

I wash dishes by hand. It's easier than using the dishwasher and having to unload it
