Stall help

Just got my searwood 600 yesterday and decided to smoke a 7lb pork butt.

Threw on this morning at 0750 250⁰. At 1430 pulled to wrap with apple juice and Texas Roadhouse cinnamon butter. I threw it back on and bumped temp to 275⁰.

Its gone up 2⁰ in the past 30 min, does that sound about right? Im hoping to be having dinner around 1800-1900.

Looking at a getting a Searwood

Ive used my dad's pit boss but recently got my own place and was thinking about getting the weber searwood, it seems like people generally love it then some people complain. Not in the market for a $1500 smoker that can feed 20 so I think this is a good pick up. Ive heard mixed reviews on the searing, im thinking for that just throwing a cast iron pan on it and letting it heat up will be nice to finish steaks.

Question for first PPM

This is my first military move bare with me.

15ft uHaul and auto trailer. My car and and wife's car.

---

Take empty uHaul, trailer, and my car to CAT scale. Get ticket. (Full tank of gas).

Then go home, load up uHaul and my car then weigh again. (Full tank of gas).

My wife's car with nothing, then loaded. (Both Full tank of gas). She will be driving this down.

---

  1. Does everything above sound correct?

  2. Can I do the empty weight in my home state and the full weight along our trip when we pass a scale? I ask because the closest weigh station is an 1.5hr away. I'm already driving up an hour for the uHaul so ill just do the empty weight while I'm close. Was hoping to avoid having to drive back up after loading.

2 pairs of used leeds

First 3 pictures are the Leeds 2.0 for $130

Last 3 pictures are original leeds for $100

Will a polish shine them up and help take out scuffs or are they too beat? How are the soles?

Help with shoes

Im looking at buying these used dress shoes and wanted to know if the leather is supposed to look like this and how well it may polish? Seller said they're new. They look a lot smoother in the OEM web page.

Buying leather shoes help.

Im looking at buying these dress shoes and wanted to know if the leather is supposed to look like this and how well it may polish? Seller said they're new. They look a lot smoother and less porous in the OEM web page (3rd photo).

Looking for a pair of brown plain toed bluchers. The Allen Edmonds leeds are too expensive and the Beckett Simmons sutton derbies take too long.

I would like a quality pair ~$300 mark if anyone can help.

Hello all, im looking for a brown dress shoes that will go good with the Navy khakis. I put the three that I am looking at as they are discounted, however I am open to new if there's a better option. Must be plain toed.

I'm having a hard time knowing if I should go with D or E, I have wide feet so maybe E?

Color is also a thing, im thinking the walnut won't look good with the uniform.

I favor comfort, the walker verse seem like a good buy in E but im not sure if they look "formal enough" or if they're more of a business casual shoe. Maybe switching the laces would fix that?

Any and all advice is welcome.

Edit* this is a "working uniform" not worn on occasions but for daily use at work. I feel oxfords may be a little more uncomfortable for hours of daily use.

Back again, I spoke with a few people in pcola, apparently brown shoes are required. Regs state Oxford, these should be fine right?

Ill be headed down to Pensacola soon as an aviator. Are brown dress shoes for khakis only worn during NIFE? Im trying to figure out if I should get a nice pair or just rough it with standard issue.

As far as brown boots go, any recommendations? I saw on other threads that people get around boots regs in the fleet, unsure about flight school, but any advice is welcome.
